States Across the Nation Push for Ten Commandments in Schools
Following the passage of Louisiana’s law mandating the display of the Ten Commandments in schools, over a dozen other states are aiming to follow the southeastern state’s example.
From CBN. Republican legislators in more than a dozen states have introduced bills calling for the public display of the Ten Commandments in public school classrooms. The movement gained momentum after Louisiana became the first state in the modern era to mandate such displays. …

Texas is among at least 14 states where legislators aim to reintroduce Christian principles in public schools. Jonathan Saenz, an attorney with Texas Values who helped draft the Texas bill, said the display would help students understand historical and cultural foundations.
“Posting the Ten Commandments in our public school classrooms allows students to have an understanding and an appreciation for our heritage, for systems of law, and the connection of the Ten Commandments to Western civilization,” Saenz said.
Saenz added that recent election results show voters support such measures. …
Lawmakers pushing these bills are encouraged by recent political shifts and Supreme Court rulings that have opened the door to more religious expression in schools.
“God is mentioned in the Declaration of Independence. It’s on our money, in songs like ‘God Bless America,’ in our literature, and in our pledge to the flag,” said Montana State Sen. Keith Regier. “Why would we not mention God in our schools? The courts need to understand that by removing God, they are replacing it with nothing.”
Opponents, including the American Civil Liberties Union and the Freedom From Religion Foundation, argue that these measures violate the First Amendment. …
Texas legislators believe their bill will withstand legal scrutiny, citing a 2022 Supreme Court case that ruled in favor of a high school football coach’s right to pray on the field after games. …

Every time I drive by a school I obey the law and slow down…AND PRAY for our educational system and the teachers, curriculum, school boards, the children, families represented, local Churches, and now I will pray; LORD, MAY THE TEN COMMANDMENTS BE ONCE AGAIN FOUND IN OUR PUBLIC SCHOOLS. amen!
Amen!
Lovely idea, Ruth! I’m going to adopt your habit and start doing this too! Thank you for a great post!
God bless!
FATHER, forgive us… America has abused YOUR NAME. Many Pastors have failed teaching YOUR FULL COUNCIL. Many Christians do NOT Fear YOUR JUSTICE. We MUST REPENT, TURN FROM OUR WICKED WAYS. SEEK YOUR MERCIES, DO JUSTLY, WALK HUMBLY AND LOVE MERCY IN YESHUA’S HOLY NAME AMEN AMEN
I am 79 years old and did not except Christ until I was forty, I look back on my school days when our school days were started with the pledge of allegiance, the Lordās Prayer then the teacher would read from the Bible. I know that was the foundation that kept me seeking the Lord even though I was because I when through catechism I was told I was born again, not that I had to except Jesus as my Lord and Savior. Yes I do believe that the Ten Commandments and prayer in our schools can be a major part in how our children learn to live a good life.
Father God, I thank you, my prayer has been that we would return to the basic principle in our Country, to return to “In God we trust.” You are the Lord! Your Kingdom come,
Your will be done, on earth as it is in heaven. As we turn our hearts toward heaven, we repent and continue to pray for our churches, our neighborhoods, and our country. As it says all throughout Ezekiel; And they will know I AM the Lord.
Oh Lord, we need You ALWAYS! We need You in our home, churches, schools, work, government. We need You in everything always.. please forgive us for taking You out of schools. Please come back and do a mighty cleaning. ā¦. Everywhere!
May You fill America with Your love, mercy, forgiveness and holiness. May we see Jesus everywhere.
Thank You for NOT giving up on us.
And Lord, please Make America Godly Again.
Love ā¦
