House Speaker Mike Johnson is facing opposition from every side. Nevertheless, the speaker claims his only goal is to “honor God” as a “servant leader.”

Leading a House Divided
“Democrats typically tend to think more kind of like a union, they sort of stick together, they’re more monolithic,” Johnson says. “They move as a herd. They’re more kind of social animals. Republicans, by contrast, are a rugged individualist. You know, we care deeply about our core principles and our philosophy, and we’re not easily moved. And that’s a great blessing usually, but when you’re trying to keep all those cats together and move in the same direction with a one-vote majority, it sometimes presents challenges.” …
A Push to Oust Johnson
That hasn’t stopped Republican Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene — sometimes referred to simply as MTG — from filing a motion to vacate, in a move to jettison Speaker Johnson. She doesn’t think he’s standing up enough for conservative policy positions. Of course, that’s not easy when Democrats control the White House, Senate, and you barely have a Republican majority in the House. “I have virtually zero leverage to be able to negotiate and get a better package,” Johnson says.
As to whether the House Speaker has spoken to MTG, he tells CBN News, “I tried over the two-week break. She wasn’t interested in speaking.” …
[Speaker Johnson said,] “We’ve got to demonstrate to the American people that we can keep the train on the tracks, and so pulling a motion to vacate or removing a Speaker right now is exactly the opposite of what we need to show the country.”
The concern among some in the GOP is that if Johnson is booted out, a Democrat Speaker could emerge. Johnson concurs. …
On Abortion
On the issue of abortion, consensus will be difficult for the GOP, especially now that former President Trump just refused to endorse a federal abortion ban — a move the avid pro-life Speaker tells us he understands.
“What we have to do right now, our challenge is to build a culture of life…before you can have a political consensus on an issue that’s this controversial, you have to build a cultural consensus first.” …
Democrats’ Illegal Immigration Strategy
One issue where the House GOP seems unified is illegal immigration, arguing President Biden’s policies have been disastrous for America. “I think they want that open border and I think their actions show that,” Johnson says. …
A Deep Christian Faith
Johnson will certainly speak his mind, especially when it comes to his Christian faith – a stance that’s led to some criticism.
“We’ve been mocked and I mean mercilessly in the press,” says Johnson. “They’ve tried to attack me and my family — my wife and children. And look, we’re undaunted by it. I mean that is going to happen if you stand for truth.” …
… “I have no value other than as a servant,” Johnson says. “I’m trying to be a servant leader here and at a very challenging time, in very difficult circumstance … and that’s my humble prayer every day, that we would be able to serve well and bring honor to God in the process.”

Father continue to send your Spirit to do a work that only you can, and use this called and appointed godly man Speaker Johnson who willingly follows your ways to raise up your Nation with great Faith. In God we Trust!
LORD, Please give him courage, wisdom and conviction.
I don’t doubt his faith as a Christian. But he was the deciding vote to require warrants to spy on Americans and he voted no. It was 212 to 212 and he was the tie breaker and voted against the warrant because he bought the lie that it would hurt Americans. He literally voted against the 4th Amendment of the Constitution stating he thought the founder fathers were wrong. . That is really disappointing. I know he professes to be a man of God but he has gone along with the Democrats in their spending while doing nothing for the border. Yes, his job is hard as we have the slim majority, but he is certainly not acting as David did w/Goliath. He is failing for his call for ‘such a time of this’ moment. I think he’s become deceived or afraid of the deep state. I pray he wakes up to what God has called him to do…he seems like a weak leader now when we had so much hope for him. I see why Marjorie Taylor Green and others want him vacated. Though not sure if that is the answer, he certainly needs to wake up and fight hard for our country. I pray he does and his actions will agree with his words as a man of faith.
There is no doubt in my mind that you have been appointed by God to be Speaker of the House “for such a time as this.” May God continue to equip you with wisdom and discernment for the job He has placed you in. Dear Father, please bless and protect you loyal son who is doing his best for us and you. Give him peace and victory over all the obstacles he is running into. He is a good man of God.
Father, change Marjorie Taylor Greene’s heart. Help her to see the foolishness of what she is doing. May she see that such a slim margin in the House will result in negative things if Mike Johnson is removed from Speakership. May the other Representatives realized this and not put him out. Thank you for Mike Johnson. Give him wisdom and may he continue to look to you and be faithful to your call. Protect him and his family.
May Mr. Johnson cry out to you for the wisdom of Solomon to reduce the size and scope of the federal Government before our freedoms disappear right before our eyes and our fiat currency becomes worthless. Grant the Speaker favor and boldness as he becomes the leader you have called him to be for this generation..

I appreciate Mike Johnson’s stand for Ukraine against fractions in the Republican party. He knows it is the right thing to do and is the right thing for the United States. Other countries who have been sitting on the fence, seeing that the United States can’t be counted on are aligning with China. Thailand is one such country. Niger has broken with the United States and is allowing China to build military ports on its coast line, thus giving China the ability to launch an attack from the United States from the Atlantic Ocean.
If ever we needed good leadership, it is now. It is a shame that MAGA missed the opportunity to pick a leader who could lead his during war. Donald Trump’s administration was in constant chaos with the heads of Homeland Security and Defense changing constantly. Donald Trump even got into a beef with the Chief of Staffs. I think Mike Johnson is a devoted Christian man and is trying to do the right thing as Speaker of the House. Not much help from some of the republicans and no help from the democrats and some of the republicans. I think he has been working endlessly to find a perfect solution. There is always someone else who thinks they are better equipped for the job. Show me one! Kevin McCarthy was not the one for the job. MTG is from my district in Georgia but I am very disappointed in her. Does she think she has all the answers? I believe Mike Johnson was chosen by God as was President Trump. The Federal Government is a total disaster. Give them a chance. Work with them. MTG (Talk with Mike Johnson and President Trump. God works in His own Time. You know the situation in the White House.

The question is why he just cast the deciding vote to *not* require warrants to spy on Americans. He himself admitted he has seen FISA abused hundreds of thousands of times…why would he perpetuate it?
