The SAVE Act may have died over the summer, but Speaker Johnson may revive it by attaching it to a stop-gap spending bill.

From Breitbart. Speaker Mike Johnson (R-LA) and House Republican leadership are reportedly discussing attaching a bill that requires proof of citizenship to vote to a stop-gap spending bill.

Let the IFA community know how to pray for you.

The federal government will shut down on September 30 if Congress fails to pass a spending bill, and congressional leaders are eyeing a short-term spending bill that would fund the government past Election Day, November 5.

Johnson and Republican leaders are now considering attaching the SAVE Act, a bill that would require proof of citizenship to vote in a federal election, to the short-term spending bill that would continue funding the government until March 2025. …

A 2022 YouGov survey found that 65 percent of Americans back requiring proof of citizenship to vote in elections, which included 48 percent of Democrats, 62 percent of swing voters, and 88 percent of Republicans.

Sen. Mike Lee (R-UT) wrote on Monday, “Hats off to @SpeakerJohnson for attaching the SAVE Act to the September spending bill. If it’s a ‘nonstarter’ with Democrats to deter noncitizens from voting, they’re going to have to explain that.”

I am a naturalized American Citizen who needed to wait some years until my Citizenship in the United States was complete and valid. I had to swear in oath to my allegiance to the United States of America, study, pass tests, be personally interviewed by the Department of Homeland Security. All the while I was (and am) married to American Citizen by birth. My joy in becoming an American Citizen was that I could finally vote. I didn’t just march across the Canadian border to Minnesota and have that right handed to me. I EARNED that right. Voting is a right of citizens. And crossing a border does not constitute citizenship. I support the SAVE act.

As a Born Again Christian, I believe the SAVE Act should be included in the spending bill.

I would love to see the SAVE Act included in the September spending bill. Only verified US citizens should be allowed to vote in this election, or any election in the United States.

Lord Jesus, please protect the integrity of our elections. Expose all evil schemes and lies of the enemy. Shine your great light on them and cause the enemy to flee from their wicked plans, in Jesus name. Give Speaker Johnson great success in passing the SAVE Act. Protect his mind, his life and his family, Lord Jesus, please take the victory for your name and be merciful to the United States of America. You hate a lying tongue, a heart that devices wicked plans, and feet that are swift in running to evil. We ask for your righteousness and justice to reign in the United States once again. Thank you, Lord God, for fighting this battle on our behalf. We are looking to You.

Citizenship must be a requirement for voting. Voter fraud will skyrocket without this safeguard.
