Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orbán blasted billionaire disrupter George Soros Wednesday, denouncing his efforts to create a “European empire” under the banner of a global open society.
In his written statement, Mr. Orbán replies to a November 18 article by George Soros published in Project Syndicate in which Mr. Soros attacks Hungary and Poland for vetoing the European Union’s proposed €1.15 trillion seven-year budget.
In his article Soros instructs the leaders of the European Union “to severely punish those Member States that do not want to become part of a unifying European empire under the banner of a global ‘open society,’” Orbán writes.
Soros is an “economic criminal” who “made his money through speculation, ruining the lives of millions of people, and even blackmailing entire national economies,” Orbán states, noting that many believe that prime ministers must not debate with economic criminals, just as governments “must not negotiate with terrorists.”
“Yet now I am compelled to do so,” Orbán declares.
Whereas in his article Soros describes himself as “a committed supporter of the EU as a model of an open society,” Mr. Orbán insists that “Europe’s strength has always been derived from its nations.”
“Every attempt to unify Europe under the aegis of empire has failed,” Orbán insists. “Thus historical experience tells us that Europe will be great again if its nations become great again, and resist all forms of imperial ambition.”
“Great forces are once again moving to eradicate the nations of Europe and unify the continent under the aegis of a global empire,” the Hungarian PM continues. “The Soros network, which has woven itself through Europe’s bureaucracy and its political elite, has for years been working to make Europe an immigrant continent.”
“Today the Soros network, which promotes a global open society and seeks to abolish national frameworks, is the greatest threat faced by the states of the European Union,” he adds. “The goals of the network are obvious: to create multi-ethnic, multicultural open societies by accelerating migration, and to dismantle national decision-making, placing it in the hands of the global elite.”
In the midst of a series of crises — economic, migration, health — the “need for European solidarity, for European nations to come together to help each other, has never been greater,” Orbán asserts.
“During all these crises, this speculator – who calls himself a philanthropist – did not consider the interests of the people of Europe, but acted to his own advantage,” Orbán states. “Memorably he attacked the Hungarian forint and Hungary’s largest bank in the economic crisis, and he planned to speed up, distribute and finance the resettlement of immigrants during the migrant crisis; and now he is proposing that Member States punish one another, instead of embracing solidarity and mutual assistance.”
George Soros is openly intervening, attempting to put pressure on nation states and to set the peoples of Europe against one another, Orbán declares.
“On the payroll of George Soros are a long list of politicians, journalists, judges, bureaucrats and political agitators masquerading as members of civil society organizations,” he states. “And although the billionaire accuses all his enemies of corruption, he himself is the most corrupt man in the world.”
“He pays off and buys whoever he can – and those whom he cannot bribe will be slandered, humiliated, intimidated and destroyed by the network through its formidable weapon: the left-wing media battalions,” he claimed.
The true goal of the Soros network is to create a unified empire, Orbán asserts, which will force “a unified way of thinking, a unified culture and a unified social model on Europe’s free and independent nations.”
Opposed to national sovereignty, the network seeks to “rescind the right of every people to decide its own destiny,” he adds.

I just wanted to add another prayer for Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orbán; protect him Lord, with your mighty sword; cover him with the blood of Jesus that the enemy cannot penetrate; put a protective hedge around him, his family members and and friends as well. Let his words start a holy spirit fire in the hearts of other European leaders, and let them stand up for their nations, the nations you have ordained, Lord. Protect any who have the courage to stand against Mr. Soros’ plans!
Please give Mr. Soros a Damascus Road experience, let your kindness lead him to repentance, God, and his wealth used to increase Your Kingdom.
If he should choose to reject you, then nullify his words and make him powerless to influence others to carry out his evil schemes. If he should choose to reject you, God, we stand on your Proverbs 13:22 (AMP) Word, “…the wealth of the sinner is stored up for [the hands of] the righteous…” and we pray that his wealth is dispersed quickly to the righteous ones You choose, Lord!! Father God, I pray you will break off the stronghold of Satan and his minions on the heart and mind of George Soros. How encouraging to read this article and the emphasis on praying that God would bind Soros, his money and his influence and bring it down along with others in the same class. I have been directed to pray this way in the last few days without knowing that an emphasis along the same line would be made here. Praise God for His leadership in prayer!
I have been directed to pray the same. So “coincidental” that this came out about Soros. We are in a battle and the Lord wants his prayer warrior intercessors to come against this evil in the Name of Jesus. Pray Warriors! We are in the heat of battle!
Oh Holy God of Israel, may the wealth, resources and power of George Soros depart from him. May he be driven from among men. May his dwelling be with the beasts of the field. And may he be made to eat grass like an ox, and seven periods of time shall pass over him until he knows that the Most High rules the kingdoms of men and gives it to whom he will. Yes, I was also being reminded of this how the Lord brought down King Nebuchadnezzar. I too have been led to pray in this way if this evil man along with others whochoose to continue to not acknowledge the One True All Supreme Eternal God,and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, and bend their knee and repent.

I too have prayed for George Soros over the years. He remains unchanged, unrepentant & he and the powers that be continue to manipulate, destroy nations, governments, cities, with their powers & wealth. Learning to that he’s funding the domestic terrorists in our nation, destroying cities, his hand in the election process as well. Father if at all possible soften, turn his heart, You will that none would be lost. I have asked the Holy Spirit for a heart touch, repentance, salvation on his part, but should he will not, for our Father to bless him & his with bankruptcy, the Lord directing that mega wealth back to whom it truly belongs in Jesus Name.
Heavenly Father, we know from Your Word that King Jesus will destroy Satan by the very breath of His Mouth. Lord, we humbly ask that You would move with Your Breath to remove Soros’ influence and ability to promote evil. Please give Your Church more time to rescue the perishing by pointing them to Jesus for salvation. We know ultimately there will be a one world order but that it is up to You as to when. Grant us mercy and more time by binding this evil! Amen
That man is so evil – his wickedness even shows in his aging process: he looks more demonic as he gets older. My sister and I have long prayed that if he can’t be saved, God would remove him from the planet. We can’t wait to see him (and others) on his knees (whether or not it is voluntary) acknowledging that Jesus is Lord!

I also have prayed for years for Soros to repent and use his money for good purposes. But he only went from bad to worse. He is giving millions to push the pro-abortion as well as the LGTBQ+ agendas ahead, not only in the US, but to force governments all over the world to legalize abortion, gay marriage and get gender ideology into the schools. I don’t know one good cause that the man gives money to. We cannot allow this to continue! We want good government and godly laws, and this is definitely God’s will. This means that people who refuse to repent and turn from evil to do good, have to be taken out. Lord, let Your judgment fall on Soros and take him out! We are not so presumptious as to tell God how to do that. We leave that up to Him. But we cry to You: Remove Him!
