I Prayed have prayed
Father, bless this event and help them to encourage us in our faith.
Reading Time: 4 minutes

When: 12 am Sunday (October 18th) to Monday 12 am (October 19th)

You have done it before. Let’s do it again. For our God.  For each other. For our nation.

Most can agree America could do better these days as she airs her dirty stained laundry before the world. But there is a way, and He made a way, to help clean all of us up – so she can shine bright again.

How can we expect our country be clean when The Church acts so dirty and hateful to one another?

The National Day of Cleansing set for Sunday, October 18, is a deep spiritual cleansing from sins of division by race, ethnicity, cultural, socioeconomic, and denominational barriers. The Cleanse is a call for unity within the relational bond of mankind within the Body of Christ. We are repenting of our lack of unity as we gather to His call for our dry bones to rise up. Unity only. One body, one Spirit, one Adonai, one baptism, one faith. In Yahweh.  One God united as The Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. From henceforth it shall be…

JUST GOD.   His Word is all we need.  Just God. For we know that He is a ‘Just’ God.

God, who made us in His image, is doing a SUPREME MAKEOVER. His steadfast love and desire for us to be united and operate as He has directed us to do so is not just for a short season. Too much hate, prejudice, discrimination, and contamination have infected God’s creation. Sin has gone viral.  This is not so much about a new world order but more so a return to God’s original and right order. It will not be the Nation’s business as usual. If He is willing, this world of the disorder can be restored!

America and its citizens can no longer think, do and behave the way we have as humans in our nation and our world the way we have and expect no consequences as it relates to God’s sovereign oversight over His Creation.  We cannot play the “I love you game” and send “prayers and blessings” when a crisis comes and fail to follow through. We cannot afford to pay the “I didn’t really care about that situation” game once the crisis ends.  This pretense from ‘all of us’ is quickly coming to an end.

Will we genuinely care for all, or see judgments erupt like never before? What a choice before us!

Our generation is at a crossroads because we collectively forgot what He did for us at the cross.

What will the new nation look like? The National Day of Cleansing takes us beyond repentance into a ‘deep spiritual cleansing’ that reminds us of what it means to be fully washed and restored.

REPENTANCE AND CLEANSING: What is the Distinction?

When we repent, we acknowledge and confess that we have done something wrong, on purpose or in ignorance, or omitted to do something righteous. This is good.

When we cleanse, we go further.  We bring healing to our relationship with our Father and with one another. We right wrongs. We choose His true justice and His restorative peace, rather than our own.

If I spill grape juice on your beautiful white suit, I say, ‘I am sorry. I will be more careful next time.’  I repent.

But the suit is still a mess. The stain is still apparent.  The full cleansing cycle is to say “I am sorry. I will be more careful next time.  Let me clean this suit.” The owner of the suit has the option to say, thank you, and accept your offer or say, “No worries. I have this covered.”

While we can pay for some things, some things are only cleansed by the righteous blood of our Savior Jesus Christ and the washing of the Holy Word of God. We still must be active participants in the sanctification process.

Our country needs another wash cycle for these stubborn stains that remain. On this National Day of Cleansing, we will appeal to Him to cleanse us again.

His Word will not return void whether spoken by a few or a multitude. This will make a difference in this nation and then our world. Here is why.

God’s speech pours out and is declared in the Heavens daily. Everyone can hear it.

Some will listen. Some will understand. Some will believe Him. Some will pay attention.

Commit yourself to love and unity in Him. Walk in His ways.  Turn back to The Father. Speak His Word.

Flee from your sin.

Repent of this nation’s collective sin.

Return to His Eternal Covenant of Love and Peace.

Lather. Rinse. Repeat.
Unite. Heal. Restore.

Love.

So grateful for this. I yearned for so long for corporate pursuits like this. (Especially in he 1990s.)

Heavenly Father, forgive our nation and each of us for not following you with our whole hearts and our laws. We have killed millions of babies and have changed marriage rules. We have called bad good. Forgive us and cleanse us. Help us change the way we live, and follow your laws, show love to one another. Help us turn from our wicked ways and change our laws. Give us courage and love. May Amy Barrett become a judge on the Supreme Court. Sanctify us, help us begin again.

Heavenly Father, we pray for UNITY among Your ONE BODY of Christ in America. United we stand, divided we fall. Cleanse us by the washing of the water of the Word. Give us ONE HEART, ONE SPIRIT, ONE PURPOSE – to glorify You by loving Your church. (Eph 5:26) You put it best in Psalm 133:
“1 Behold, how good and how pleasant it is for brethren to dwell together in unity!
2 It is like the precious ointment upon the head, that ran down upon the beard, even Aaron’s beard: that went down to the skirts of his garments;
3 As the dew of Hermon, and as the dew that descended upon the mountains of Zion: for there the Lord commanded the blessing, even life for evermore.”
