As Election Day approaches, public records show there are already applications for large demonstrations on file with the National Park Service. But one of the largest groups said it is changing tactics and no longer plans to organize with permission.
With the aim to exercise what it called noncompliance and direct action, organizers of Shutdown D.C. told WTOP the group’s permit with the National Park Service to demonstrate on the grounds of the Washington Monument, at Freedom Plaza and Lafayette Park, among other federal locations, is “fairly irrelevant” in light of new demonstration plans. . . .
Though plans to gather on the Mall are off, Shutdown D.C. still expects 10,000 people, as it indicated in its permit. It’s now calling for members of multiple groups to meet at Black Lives Matter Plaza on Election Day with plans to continue the event throughout the week.
“We are concerned like many people that (President Donald) Trump may try to steal this election,” said Kaela Bamberger with Shutdown D.C. “He’s given us a lot of evidence to indicate that he has no problem trying to confuse the results or prematurely declare victory. At Shutdown D.C., we’re preparing to be able to mobilize quickly in D.C. if he should attempt to do so.”
The group initially organized in 2019 in response to the call for climate change, and took part in global climate strikes in an effort to shut down traffic and block intersections in D.C. last year. . . .
“It’s one step beyond awareness building. It’s intended to be functionally disruptive to get in the way and make our voices count,” she said. “We obviously encourage everyone to vote, but if the democratic process is falling apart because of a despotic president, it may be necessary to take direct action.”
Another event planned around Election Day is by D.C. Action Lab, which describes its 1,000-person event in its National Park Service application as a “free speech demonstration against the election results.”
Both applications into the park service have not yet been approved, according to NPS spokesman Mike Litterst.

Father, I agree with these great prayers that agree with Your word. But I am afraid I will begin to hate these people who are walking and working with darkness. David prayed against his enemies, as we do. Lincoln forgave half a nation after so many will killed in an actual war against each other. This is a desparate time in our nation, Father. I pray that we Christians, who have every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places (Eph. 1:3), Your Holy Spirit dwelling in us, all the power of heaven at our fingertips, will stand as a holy people, kings and priests, fight and win against this ugly enemy, and that we would also be ready to receive those whose blinders of darkness come off. I pray we will be ready and forgiving receptive for revival. That’s what Return was all about. I pray we fight this fight for the next two days and then remember what the real fight is about and not be distracted completely.

I have prayed in agreement with all of these worthy petitions, but when I clicked on Amen, I noticed that it increased the number at least twice or sometimes 3 times, so it is inaccurate to say 108 people prayed, or whatever the number. might need to fix that. Thanks.
Diana, I think what you are seeing is the tally of those who prayed “catching up”. In other words, others have prayed and clicked the “I Prayed” button in between the time you logged onto the IFA site and the time you clicked the button. The total was just catching up.

We (who are old) have never seen anything like what is happening in our country right now. A merciful track for protestors and rioters is to be jailed. Incarcerated, people are left to ponder their lives and interact with christians. Many in jail cells have been transformed and have harsh backgrounds as the new incoming residents. Let’s pray these wayward street people will be arrested and provided full time access to our tax supported prison ministrIes…

It’s funny you say that. I’ve seen other people stocking up on guns and ammo,(I’m a single mother) and my Pastor just bought a sling-shot for my son. I was joking with the ladies in my ministry the other day about how a sling-shot was the way to go because you always have unlimited ammo anywhere. Lol.
But in honesty, I think of Israel in the Bible – the times where the battles weren’t theirs-but the Lord’s. I am praying that violence doesn’t lead to more violence, but that God will step in and be our Defender – with His hand, His armies, His Holy Spirit, His angels. May the enemy come with sword, but we may come in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ!!! And may this battle belong unto Him!!! Is He a man that He should be defeated???

After David used the sling-shot, he took the enemy’s weapon and cut off his head with it and killed him. I don’t want to see this, but there was more battle action than just the
sling-shot.
I know it. You are right. I’m just praying that God will move with His Spirit being poured out – chopping off the enemies head in the spirit yet setting the people who are being held captive free.

We release the FEAR OF THE LORD over our nation, turning hearts back to God, our Heavenly Father!

Our weapons of warfare are prayers sent up to God. I pray that all of those misguided, blinded, ill-informed protesters will have their eyes opened to the truth, and will call out to God and be saved. I declare God is Lord over our election. He will cause His perfect plan for our nation to come to pass. The other nations of the world are watching. Reading Numbers 14:13, Moses and Aaron got on their faces before their whole congregation and called on the Lord. Talk about humility. Lord hear our prayers. Let there be such a landslide victory Tuesday that there will be no doubt. Amen
I am praying God’s Army of fiery, warring angels will set up their armies at every site, and that God will open everyone’s eyes that have gathered there to do any kind of evil will see these huge fiery angels and flee from all of those places with their hearts filled with the fear of God and repentance and they will flee from the angels of God in 7 different directions, in the name of Jesus while God sits in the heavens laughing at their futile attempts to thrawt His plans and purposes for The United States of America, the POTUS, FLOTUSES, SCOTUS, Congress, Senate, and White House, and world.
