What is Sharia Law and should we be concerned as it makes its way across the globe?

“Sharia” is the Arabic term for Islamic law, and it literally translates as “a path to water where people can drink and seek nourishment.”[i]  That’s the definition. But those who have lived under the brutality of this religious and political ideology along with its rigid rules of conduct, describe it much differently—especially women.

According to Islamic law, women are worth only half that of a man. Quran (4:11) – “The male shall have the equal of the portion of two females.” Quran (2:282) – “And call to witness, from among your men, two witnesses. And if two men be not found then a man and two women.”

Under Sharia Law, women can be punished for “crimes” which can range from simple offenses such as polished fingernails that are too long, hair or colored clothing that peeks out from under the hijab, singing in public, etc. Worse, they can be raped, beaten, tortured or killed at the will of their husbands, fathers or other male figure who claim they are in “disobedience” to them.

Sharia Law is practiced in Afghanistan, Iran, Iraq, Pakistan, Saudi Arabia, Yeman, and Sudan. That is probably no surprise, but did you know that Sharia law is now in penetration phase 4 in the United Kingdom?  (Note: There are only five phases. The last is called “Imposition” which is when the Muslim population becomes the majority and/or Islam gains control of a region and then can implement Sharia law.)

The UK now has over 3,000 mosques. In 2008 the Archbishop of Canterbury, the head of Church of England, conceded that adopting elements of the Sharia law into UK’s court system was “unavoidable.[ii]”

Today, the UK has over 130 Sharia law courts![iii]

So what about America?

In June 2009, former President Barak Hussein Obama proudly declared in a speech at Cairo University in Egypt, “There is a mosque in every state in our union, and over 1200 mosques within our borders.  That’s why the United States government has gone to court to protect the right of women and girls to wear the hijab — and to punish those who would deny it.”[iv]

This is a huge concern states, Aynaz Anni Cyrus an Iranian-American human rights activist, and founder of Live up to Freedom and National Director of American Truth Project.

(Anni was sold by her father, an Islamic sheik, for $50 as a child bride in Iran. Escaping from her childhood in sex slavery, she found freedom in America. She has since become an American citizen and is a leading spokeswoman against the evils of Islam.)

Referring to Obama’s declaration of the number of mosques in America she explained the danger behind it. “Wherever a mosque is built, it is a sign that an area has been conquered,” Cyrus began. “What former President Obama was actually stating was that Muslims have already conquered enough areas in America that it can soon be turned into an Islamic country.”[v]

This encroachment of Islam can be seen in the United States Congress which now has two women who loudly declare themselves Muslim—Ilhan Omar (D-MN) and Rashida Tlaib (D-MI). During their short tenure in leadership, both women have made numerous antisemitic comments and a map in Rep. Tlaib’s office has “Palestine” written on a sticky note where Israel should be.[vi] When Fox News host Judge Jeanine Pirro dared pose the following question “Think about it — Omar wears a hijab. Is her adherence to this Islamic doctrine indicative of her adherence to Sharia law, which in itself is antithetical to the United States Constitution?” She was immediately silenced and her show temporarily pulled off the air.

It was not only a valid question, but one that needed an answer. At yet, she was reprimanded.

For over a decade here in America, “Islamist terror groups have been able to recruit from Minnesota. This is, in part, because Minnesota has a large Muslim population compared to other parts of the US,” Robin Simcox, a terrorism and national security expert at The Heritage Foundation, told Fox News.

Federal authorities say they are “highly concerned” about this district’s ties to international terrorism.^[vii] It is notable that this is Representative Omar’s district.

What the media, Obama and many have tried to hide is that the end goal of Islam is to see all people living under a worldwide Islamic Caliphate. Although many Muslims such as Omar and Tlaib will not admit that, the truth is that under Taqiya (known as a precautionary dissimulation or denial of religious belief), it is appropriate, common and considered virtuous to lie to advance the cause of Islam.

To date laws banning Sharia Law have been passed in Alabama, Arizona, Florida, Kansas, Louisiana, Michigan, Missouri, North Carolina, South Dakota, and Tennessee. It is interesting to note the mainstream media have widely denounced these as “meaningless and stupid.”

However, similar anti-Sharia legislation has been struck down in Oklahoma by U.S. District Judge Vicki Miles-LaGrange when she overruled Oklahoma voters who approved State Question 755 with 70% of the vote!

So the question remains, is Sharia Law on its way to America?

In You, Lord, we have taken refuge; let us never be put to shame; deliver us in Your righteousness. Turn Your ear to us, come quickly to our rescue; be our rock of refuge, a strong fortress to save us. Since You are our rock and our fortress, for the sake of Your name lead and guide us.

Keep us free from the trap that is set for us, for You are our refuge.  Into Your hands we commit our spirit, our nation; deliver us, Lord, our faithful God.

We refuse to cling to worthless idols; instead we put our trust in You Lord. We will be glad and rejoice in Your love, for You saw our affliction and know the anguish of our soul. You have not given us into the hands of the enemy, but have set our feet in a spacious place.

Be merciful to us, Lord, for we are in distress; our eyes grow weak with sorrow, our soul and body with grief. Because of all our enemies, we are held in utter contempt by those who used to be neighbors and friends.

We hear many whispering, “Terror on every side!” as they conspire against us and plot to take our lives and our nation.  But we trust in you, Lord; we say, “You are our God.” Our times are in Your hands; deliver us from the hands of our enemies, and from those who pursue us. Let Your face shine on Your servants; and save us in Your unfailing love. Let us not be put to shame, Lord, for we have cried out to you; but let the wicked be put to shame and be silent in the realm of the dead.

Let their lying lips be silenced, for with pride and contempt they speak arrogantly against the righteous. How abundant are the good things that You have stored up for those who fear You,
that You bestow in the sight of all, on those who take refuge in you. In the shelter of Your presence You hide us from all human intrigues. You keep us safe in Your dwelling from accusing tongues.

Praise be to the Lord, for You have shown us the wonders of Your love when our nation was under siege. In our alarm we said, “We are cut off from Your sight!” Yet You heard our cry for mercy when we called to You for help.

Love the Lord, all you His faithful people! For the Lord preserves those who are true to Him, but the proud he pays back in full. We will be strong and take heart, for we hope in You Lord.
