Senate Republicans to Vote on Leadership Wednesday
Tomorrow, Senate Republicans will choose who will replace Mitch McConnell as their leader. Let’s pray for a man of God to take his place!

The moves come as the GOP is on the brink of securing a trifecta in Washington: Former President Trump is headed back to the White House, Republicans secured control of the Senate, and the GOP looks poised to retain its majority in the House, which would give the party full control in D.C. for the next two years. …
The Senate GOP conference will meet Wednesday, when lawmakers will choose between Sens. John Thune (R-S.D.), John Cornyn (R-Texas) and Rick Scott (R-Fla.) to serve as the next GOP leader. Sen. Mitch McConnell (R-Ky.), the current Senate GOP leader, is stepping down from his post this month, making way for a new face atop the conference for the first time in nearly two decades. …
Senate GOP to select McConnell successor
Senate Republicans will select a new leader of their conference in a secret vote Wednesday — the first time the group has done so since McConnell won the job in 2007.
Thune, Cornyn and Scott are all vying for the majority leader position, a title that solidified after Republicans won control of the Senate last week.
The three-way race has been ongoing for months, with the candidates working behind the scenes to rally support among their colleagues. Since last week’s elections, however, the contest has heated up, and all eyes are now on Trump to see if he weighs in on the leadership fight.
The president-elect inched closer to getting involved with the race Sunday. In a social media post, he said the next GOP leader “must agree” to moving forward with appointments over weekends, a request that would upend typical procedure in the upper chamber. All three candidates quickly backed the idea. …
Some senators, including Thune, say he should stay out of it. The Senate GOP whip told CNBC in an interview last week, “I think it’s probably in his best interest to stay out of [the race].” His allies have echoed that sentiment.
Those backing Scott, meanwhile, are urging the opposite, publicly suggesting Trump should wade into the race in support of the Florida Republican. …
The views from the two respective camps do not come as a surprise. Thune has a complicated history with Trump: The South Dakota Republican opposed an effort to object to the certification of the 2020 election results following President Biden’s victory, prompting Trump to threaten to end his political career through a primary, which did not come to fruition. …
Thune, however, has worked to repair the relationship. The pair met at Mar-a-Lago earlier this year, and they have spoken a number of times.
Cornyn, similarly, has a checkered history with Trump. The Texas Republican, for example, negotiated the Bipartisan Safer Communities Act after the 2022 school shooting in Uvalde, Texas, a move that Trump criticized. …
Scott, meanwhile, is seen as the candidate with the best relationship with Trump. Scott hails from Florida, Trump’s current state of residence; he traveled to Mar-a-Lago in April 2021, when Trump was still facing controversy from the Jan. 6, 2021, attack on the Capitol; and he was the first senator to attend Trump’s trial in Manhattan earlier this year. …

I pray that the reverential fear of God would come upon all who are voting, and that Scott would be chosen over the other two with their past lack of loyalty to Donald Trump. We ask this through the power of the name of Jesus Christ, and the help of the Holy Spirit and ministering angels. Amen
Senator Rick Scott should be confirmed for Senate position. Liars who deceive in mislead the people of this nation be exposed for their crookedness and plots and plans.. Pray they repent from the works of darkness and their commitment to cause harm. What’s have been hidden be brought to light and exposed in Jesus name.
Dear Heavenly Father
I pray You give wisdom, discernment, and godly understanding to everyone choosing who the next majority leader will be. A God fearing holy man. In Jesus name I pray Thy will be done. Amen
In agreement and Amen
Lord, I recognize that You alone know what is best. In regard to all of the elections, appointments and selections that are happening right now in our government and those to come in the months ahead, I ask for those who are Your choices to prevail. I was reminded of the phrase in the old hymn – “the Man of God’s own choosing”. The Man referred to was Yeshua. “Dost ask Who that may be – Christ Jesus it is He.” I don’t presume to liken the choices in our government to the choice of Messiah – but since the government is upon His shoulder I know it matters to You. My take-away from that phrase coming to mind, is “I want Your choice!” It will be perfect!
Precious Lord….You’ve heard and answered our prayers for the election of President Trump and other Republican leaders which will allow him to accomplish the needed deep state elimination. Thank You Father. We need Senator Scott to be named Senator Majority Leader, and we humbly ask for you once again to answer our prayers.
Lord, give wisdom, discernment and insight to all Republican senators to not be deceived by rhetoric but to choose the best man for this position who will fight for what is right, just and true and will most help build your kingdom purposes in our nation. Personally I ask that Scott get the appointment. For all the thousands of positions that need to be appointed give Trump great discernment and a seeking of your wisdom. We plead- no RINOs, no hypocrite back stabbers but that all would have the integrity of Daniel who righteously and faithfully served even kings of a foreign nation.
We need to get Mitch out now!
DEAR LORD GOD
PLEASE ALLOW REASON AND INTELLIGENC GUIDED BY YOUR WORD TOPERSEVERE IN SELECTINGLEADERS FORTHE VARIOUS POSITIONS AVAILABLE.

I hope that an IFA staff member sees this comment. I don’t know any other way to contact the administration of this site.
I tried to take action and send a message to my Republican Arizona Senator, Andy Biggs, through your “Take Action” email program, but it lists only the Democratic Senator. It seems something may be wrong with the program. You may want to check it out or give different instructions to make comments. I appologize if it is user error on my part!
I had the same problem.
I live in Texas. John Cornyn will NOT support President Trump. He has not worked with conservatives.
Mitch McConnell was bad for the country. Cornyn and Thune will be no different. Scott challenged McConnell in the past for the position to no avail. Pray God willing that Scott will be elected.
Other senators may be better for it but are not being considered.
Heavenly Father, Creator of Heaven and Earth, the one who rules over all nations and establishes leaders according to Your will, we come humbly before Your throne of grace today. We acknowledge that You alone are the source of wisdom, power, and authority.
Lord, we bring before You the upcoming vote to select the next majority leader in the Senate. As this critical decision is made, we pray for Your sovereign hand to guide the hearts and minds of the voting senators. Father, we specifically lift up Senator Rick Scott to You, asking that You would grant him favor, wisdom, and the support needed to take on this mantle of leadership.
Lord, Your Word tells us in Proverbs 21:1 that “The king’s heart is in the hand of the Lord, as the rivers of water: he turneth it whithersoever he will.” We ask that You would turn the hearts of the senators to align with Your perfect plan. If it be Your will, let Senator Rick Scott be chosen as the majority leader, a leader who will stand boldly for truth, justice, and righteousness.
We pray that Senator Scott, if selected, would lead with integrity, strength, and unwavering commitment to the principles that honor You and serve the American people. We ask that he would be a unifying force within the Senate, guided by wisdom and discernment to make decisions that protect our nation and its people.
Father, we also lift up President Trump and ask for clarity, boldness, and guidance for him as he navigates his role in this leadership selection. Let all decisions made be for the good of our nation and in alignment with Your will.
We pray for Senator Scott’s opponents, Senator Thune and Senator Cornyn, that You would work in their hearts as well. May this election process be conducted with fairness, respect, and a sense of duty to the greater good.
Lord, we know that Your plans are higher than ours, and Your ways are perfect. We trust in Your divine will for the future of this nation and its leadership. Strengthen us as we continue to pray and trust in Your perfect timing and outcomes.
In the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Savior and Lord, we declare Your will be done on Earth as it is in Heaven. Amen.
For what ever reason I was blocked in sending letter for my Senator Marco Rubio to support fellow Senator Rick Scott.

Thank you for this information. I am with the Flashpoint army. Based on your input as well I believe that those who walk by faith do so when the going gets rough. That’s what Rick Scott did as a loyal patriot. He would be my choice.
I’m with the Flash Point Army. Amen.
It’s a good message from Dutch Sheet’s this a. m the twelfth of November

Father, the majority leader in the Senate must be a many of wisdom, having good rapport with all in the Senate, a person who can lead the Senate and support President Elect Trump. May this person be filled with the Spirit of God, who has great discernment. Raise up this person ow so that all who vote will se this is the person of Your choice. Amen.
Lord, w/ Wednesday’s vote in the Senate for their majority leader, I pray that the last piece of the puzzle will will be fitted into the team so that rebellion against Your plan will be @ a minimum. This whole thing has been beautiful to watch! Lord, please bless the Trump team w/ clarity & strength of character so that they will not accept less than Your ultimate desire in all things. It feels so good to see it all have Your complete blessing as they fight for the perfect choices & outcomes, in Jesus’ name! Amen!
Lord, we ask that you intervene in this Senate Majority election tomorrow. Work in the minds and hearts of all senators as they make the decision about who will get their vote. We know the makeup of the Senate (and House) is a diverse one – and there is not a natural unity – but please let the one be chosen who will work WITH President Trump to achieve his goals of turning our country around. We pray that Trump will more and more seek Your counsel and guidance. In Jesus’ holy name, Amen.
May the Lord bless and guide the Senate to do His will. May they choose a man of godly integrity who will guide the Senate to make good decisions for our country. Thank you God for answering our prayer to Your glory. Amen
