I Prayed have prayed
Lord, move upon every U.S. senator, especially Majority Leader Schumer. Stop the shattering of precedent for political gain.
Reading Time: 2 minutes

As Speaker Johnson prepares to send Homeland Security Secretary Mayorkas’ articles of impeachment to the Senate, Majority Leader Schumer plans to table them and sweep everything under the rug. Senators Cruz and Lee, the co-authors of this article, are trying to keep that from happening.

From The Wall Street Journal. When House Speaker Mike Johnson sends the Senate the articles of impeachment against Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas, Majority Leader Chuck Schumer is obligated to prepare for a trial. Instead Mr. Schumer plans to offer a motion to table the articles of impeachment by majority vote.

Connect with others in your state in prayer.

The Constitution, Senate rules and precedent are clear: The Senate has an obligation to vote on articles of impeachment. In the nation’s history, there have been 21 instances in which the House has sent articles of impeachment to the Senate. In three of those cases, the official who was impeached had left office, so the Senate didn’t proceed. In the other 18 cases … the Senate conducted a trial and senators ultimately voted guilty or not guilty. That’s the process demanded by the Constitution and clearly laid out in the Senate rules. …

Republicans have respected this process. … Now that the shoe is on the other foot, Senate Democrats are trying to destroy yet another precedent and further politicize the impeachment process. …

Why would they do it? Because Mr. Schumer wants to prevent the House impeachment managers from presenting evidence of the disaster that has unfolded on the southern border because Mr. Mayorkas refuses to follow the law. …

That Mr. Schumer would shirk the Senate’s constitutional duties and defy 200 years of precedent demonstrates how terrified the Democrats are that the American people will realize the vast human suffering their open-borders policies have produced. …

What are you praying?

Heavenly Father, Micah 6:8 reminds us we are to act justly, love mercy and walk humbly with You. I call this to remembrance as we consider the life of Laken Riley and many others, where loss and injuries occurred at the hands of lawlessness and evil acts. Let divisive tactics and evil plots fail, bring forward humility, justice and truth. Remind each U.S. representatives who took an oath, to fulfill their obligations to the citizens of this nation. You are the God of Righteousness, so let Your will be done. In Jesus’ mighty name. Amen.

”Why, Adonai, do you stand at a distance? Why do you hide yourself in times of trouble? The wicked in their arrogance hunt down the poor, who get caught in the schemes they think up. For the wicked boasts about his lusts; he blesses greed and despises Adonai. Every scheme of the wicked in his arrogance [says], “There is no God, [so] it won’t be held against me.” His ways prosper at all times. Your judgments are way up there, so he takes no notice. His adversaries? He scoffs at them all. In his heart he thinks, “I will never be shaken; I won’t meet trouble, not now or ever.” His mouth is full of curses, deceit, oppression; under his tongue, mischief and injustice. He waits near settlements in ambush and kills an innocent man in secret; his eyes are on the hunt for the helpless. Lurking unseen like a lion in his lair, he lies in wait to pounce on the poor, then seizes the poor and drags him off in his net. Yes, he stoops, crouches down low; and the helpless wretch falls into his clutches. He says in his heart, “God forgets, he hides his face, he will never see.” Arise, Adonai! God, raise your hand! Don’t forget the humble! Why does the wicked despise God and say in his heart, “It won’t be held against me”? You have seen; for you look at mischief and grief, so that you can take the matter in hand. The helpless commits himself to you; you help the fatherless. Break the arm of the wicked! As for the evil man, search out his wickedness until there is none left. Adonai is king forever and ever! The nations have vanished from his land. Adonai, you have heard what the humble want; you encourage them and listen to them, to give justice to the fatherless and oppressed, so that no one on earth will strike terror again.“

Father, I pray you would foil Senator Schumer’s plan of tabling the impeachment proceedings. Open his eyes, give him repentance, and bring him and other senators to you and a walk in truth.

Lord You are the Way the Truth & Life.
Lord Jesus, I pray for your way for your truth to prevail and give life purpose and meaning to Chuck Schumer, and those in the Senate.

1 John 1:5 Jesus told us God is light and doesn’t have any darkness in him. Now we are telling you.
Father God, I stand before you in your light. I pray that you will shine your light into the darkness of the US Senate and especially onto Chuck Schumer in order to show their treacherous spirit for not bringing the Alejandro Mayorkas impeachment to the floor for trial. The US Senate, need to come into God’s light and do their job! This, I pray in the Mighty and Holy name of Jesus Christ.
