Senator Bob Menendez has been found guilty on political corruption charges.
From Fox News. The jury in the federal corruption trial of Sen. Bob Menendez, D-N.J., and two of his business associates, Fred Daibes and Wael Hana, found Menendez guilty on all charges after a grueling nine-week complex trial in Manhattan.

Menendez pleaded not guilty to federal charges that he accepted an array of bribes in exchange for helping foreign governments. Jurors deliberated for three days. The conviction on all 16 counts against him exposes Menendez to a sentence of more than 200 years in prison, though such a heavy sentence is unlikely.
The judge scheduled the senator’s sentencing date for Oct. 29.
Menendez condemned the decision in a statement outside the courtroom, so far refusing to resign despite overwhelming calls to do so. His attorneys say they plan to appeal the verdict. …
Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer responded to the verdict by calling on Menendez to resign.
“In light of this guilty verdict, Senator Menendez must now do what is right for his constituents, the Senate, and our country, and resign,” Schumer said. …
During the trial, prosecutors used cited emails and text messages from Menendez – as well as FBI testimony – to present evidence they argued shows the senator accepted extravagant gifts from foreign governments. The gifts totaled more than $100,000 worth of gold bars, in addition to hundreds of thousands of dollars in cash stuffed throughout Menendez’s New Jersey home.
Menendez was charged by federal prosecutors with 18 counts since he pleaded innocent last year, all relating to a multiyear alleged bribery scheme involving the Egypt and Qatar governments. …

ok so.why isnt Joe Biden being charged and tried for similar crimes?
Unfortunately it’s the lowly and less than (Never heard of this man)who are convicted…while the more prominent crooks go untouched. Shameful. It’s like feeding the sharks a little chicken. Lord you know all…shine your light on the evil and corrupt. May your will be done on earth as it is in heaven.
Not saying he is innocent, but could he be a bit of a scape goat? What about all the other elephants (not meaning republicans) in the room (in office)?? Praying the Lord expose all corruption and individuals involved and bring His full justice in His timing. May our nation repent (all of us) before our Creator. Amen

Can we even trust these proceedings? I don’t know this back story, and if this is true please forgive me, but we weren’t able to trust the proceedings against President Trump. We weren’t able to trust the FBI testimony etc…It is amazing to me that we as people have come to a point where we can’t trust any of the things put in place to “protect” us. Our justice system is in shambles. Our only hope is in God, in His love, mercy, grace, truth, and justice. That justice that founded America and guided the minds of those who first designed our government. I believe, decree, and declare Our great and mighty God is bringing our chaos back into order, angel armies are assigned and deployed, and our God is moving! I declare this land belongs to the Lord our God, and our King, Jesus is her king and all things are being made His footstool! I declare Your kingdom come, Your will be done on earth as it is in heaven. I declare Israel will live in peace and I declare, America will be saved, in the mighty name of Jesus.
