Many of President Trump’s nominations were confirmed without much fanfare. Nominees such as Marco Rubio, Kristi Noem, and Doug Burgum sailed through the confirmation process. But the media and protestors seemed focused and appeared coordinated on stopping a select few. As hearings continued, names like Tulsi Gabbard, Robert F. Kennedy Jr., and Pete Hegseth dominated every headline, homepage, and news channel.
Pray for your fellow intercessor.
Why was the media so focused on these three? Perhaps they didn’t have the money or manpower to focus on each nominee equally. Alternatively, I find it likely these names were picked intentionally. Perhaps these nominees were targeted because of the threat they posed to the establishment and the deep state.
This would certainly explain the continued attacks facing these leaders. RFK Jr., for example, recently faced a surge of anger and pushback over comments about autism. It’s hard to think of a Secretary who has it worse, however, than Pete Hegseth, the President’s Secretary of Defense.
I am sure everyone remembers the “Signalgate” story that broke in late March. IFA covered it and some of its aftermath. As a refresher, an anti-Trump journalist working for The Atlantic was mistakenly added to a chat on the app Signal, in which Trump administration officials, including Secretary Hegseth, discussed plans to strike the Houthis. It didn’t take long for the media to harass Secretary Hegseth after this controversy, demanding his resignation.
Recently, however, Hegseth found himself at the mercy of another controversy, once again related to Signal. According to a New York Times article published on Resurrection Sunday, Secretary Hegseth also shared “sensitive information” about strikes in Yemen with his wife and brother. It did not take long for the media to whip up a frenzy once again. NPR shared a headline arguing that this controversy “may be worse” than the last one.
As a side note, former Pentagon officials Dan Caldwell and Darin Selnick were included in this second Signal chat. Caldwell and Selnick were fired on Friday amid a probe into Pentagon leaks. On Saturday, they griped in a joint statement that they were “slandered” and were the victims of “baseless attacks.” Then, the day after their joint statement, the New York Times broke the latest Signal story. The timing seems awfully coincidental. Were these two disgruntled former employees involved in the leaking of this story?
Regardless of who leaked this information, the mainstream media has been working overtime to stir up the American people against Secretary Hegseth. The Atlantic, Politico, and NPR all published headlines earlier this week either calling Secretary Hegseth to resign or suggesting that the President might soon fire him. The media is trying to build an artificial consensus and convince the public that Pete Hegseth is a horrible choice for Defense Secretary and that his days in the Pentagon are numbered.
But are either of those things really the case?
President Trump, for his part, is adamant in his support of Secretary Hegseth. The White House made it clear the President “stands strongly” behind the Secretary of Defense, and it doesn’t look like he’ll be replaced anytime soon. And the Secretary has been working overtime to strengthen our military, cut wasteful spending, correct the previous administration’s mistakes, and remove bad actors from the armed forces. Most recently, he joined with other officials to stop America and Israel from striking Iran, an attack that could have potentially caused World War 3.
And yet, as we have learned, these wins are seen as problems by the deep state and the corrupt. Some liked the Pentagon’s wasteful spending, as it allowed them to line their pockets at the taxpayers’ expense. I’m also sure that, as awful as it sounds, some defense contractors would’ve preferred to see the beginning of a war with Iran, as a new war would mean a payday for them. As another side note, the New York Times reported on the latest Signal controversy only 4 days after it covered Secretary Hegseth’s attempts to prevent a war from starting. Is this another coincidence? Or, as some on the Right are suggesting, is this all part of a bigger plan to replace Secretary Pete Hegseth with a more conventional pick — someone who will put the deep state and the defense contractors above the American people.
There is a reason why President Trump has staffed his administration in part with unconventional outsiders. Secretary Hegseth may be a political outsider, just as the President himself once was, but he’s dangerous to all the right people. He’s protecting our nation and keeping the deep state on the back foot, all while giving glory to the Lord. He’s exactly what our nation needs right now, and it’s up to us to support him in prayer. Let’s pray he is able to accomplish all God has for him, and that the Enemy will not be able to stop his work!

This is misleading. Rubio was so qualified for his position that ALL of the Democrats AND Republicans in the Senate voted for him,, while Hegseth who had no experience and was clearly not qualified, had NO Democrats votes as well as 3 Republicans with many other Republicans needing to be brow beaten in order to get them to vote for him.
Heavenly Father we pray your kingdom come and your will be done in earth as it is in heaven. No weapon formed against SoD Pete Hegseth will prosper. Every tongue that rises against him in judgment, we condemn. Guide him continually with intel from on high, wisdom, discernment and courage for each day, and continue Lord to give our President discernment and wisdom as well concerning him, all his administration and every detail brought before him, in the mighty Name of King Jesus we pray. This is misleading. Rubio was qualified for his position and so he was unanimously confirmed as secretary of state by the senate while Hegseth is clearly not qualified and the vote for him was all 47 Democrats voted against him and three Republicans with other Republicans feeling that they were forced to vote for him by the Trump camp.

Jesus was the most holy Son of God and his moment before a small crowd was a pivotal moment for mankind and was preordained by God. That moment cannot be compared with the United States senate considering the military qualifications and character of any man much less one who behaved in a questionable manner for most of his life. To elevate him to the same level of Jesus Christ is beyond offensive.

MEGA news sources are not any more reliable than left wing news sources.
It has now come out that there were not just two Signal chats where Hegseth shared military information, there were over 12. Why is MAGA news and IFA not sharing this? This makes at least 19 mistakes on the part of Hegseth.

I pray for the blindness of some of the intercessors that visit this site. There have always been questions about Hegseth’s appointment, contrary to what is being claimed. Trump’s team had to bully senators into supporting him but privately they expressed concern and the concern has turned out to be true. When God choses someone he prepares them. Moses was for 40 years part of pharaoh’s court and then 40 years in the desert. David drew near to God as a shepherd, spent time as part of Saul’s court and fighting in the lower ranks and leading small groups in Saul’s army, then he led a group of men and their families in the desert, then he became king of two tribes before being made king over 12. Even Jehu climbed through the ranks of the army to become a commander and as a commander probably spent time in court before becoming king. Hegseth was in the National Guard and served off and on for 9 years. He never rose above a major which is a position that is mostly staff but can lead a small number of men. Then he jumped into journalism and his life began to unravel. The spotlight was too much for him. He drunk and went through three marriages. He has only started to turn his life around. Pete Hegseth’s skill is as a communicator and has not been in the military for a very long time and is still mentally in the Iraq war. Being a military leader of multiple branches requires skill. It requires knowledge of military strategy, both ours and the enemies. And in todays battlefield a person has to understand cyber security and rapidly changing technology. A confrontation with China will be Naval. We, therefore need someone with a navy background. We know God has been preparing someone.
Lord, I pray that Pete Hegseth continue to grow in you because you love him. I pray that he be removed as head of Defense because he is not ready and you did not choice him for that position. I pray that you will help him deal with this setback. Replace him with the man that you have been preparing to hold that position. Open the eyes of the intercessor so that they can discern your will and see the difference between your will and MEGA politics.

I know God is in this prayer post for Pete because I had a burden on my heart to pray for him yesterday. I prayed for him for a while yesterday but I didn’t know why and I didn’t even remember who he was other than he was in Trumps cabinet. The Holy Spirit told me to pray for Pete. I am so moved by the love and unity of this organization in partnering with the Holy Spirit. God bless Pete Hegseth and all of Trumps cabinet as well as IFA and all intercessors.
It is now coming out that, contrary to claims, a memo was being prepared to show Musk 29 China-related “special access programs,” which are our military’s most sensitive secrets.
One source for this claim is a memo (written evidence) which was written by Acting Pentagon General Counsel Charles Young stating that it had been put on hold.
Hegseth is clearly not qualified to lead our Defense Department.
YES – this man needs Prayer – but he needs more than Prayer – he needs to know Jesus Christ as Saviour and Lord.. Should this man be in this highly responsible post?? This is a very serious question.
Sandy and Liz both posted prayers that are contrary to those who support peace through strength through negotiations. Trump has reasons for selecting Hegseth and these two posts hare are not in agreement.
You are wrong and sadly misinformed. If you will remember DeSantis and Haley campaigned on ‘peace through strength’ while Trump called them ‘war mongers.’ So, it is interesting that you now associate Trump with ‘peace with strength’. He has seemly changed his position but not clearly said that he has changed his mind. Never acknowledged that DeSantis and Haley were right and he was wrong. And the reason there is opposition to Hegseth is because we have only months to prepare for a confrontation with China and the only path for peace is if we are so strong that entering into a war with us is unthinkable and Hegseth was inexperienced at leading and does not have the background and there was no time to waste trying to ‘train’ him. And this is exactly what had happened. One mistake after another. Months into this administration and the Pentagon is in chaos.
What Trump is trying to do is the reverse of ‘peace through strength.’ Forcing Ukraine to give up Crimea signals that we are weak. It tells Russia and China that out desire to avoid confrontation is so important to us that we will give up anything they want to appease them.

So I say to you that I believe that all of President Trump’s picks are God’s choices also and I trust that they are being guided by God. Trust in God
Most are not discussing Hegseth’s value as a man or his standing with God but rather his experience and his qualifications for a particular political post. This is common sense. No one is going to hire someone with no experience to wire their house or allow someone who is not a doctor to operate on them. For a position with that much responsibility, of course, his experience and character are important considerations and taking those into consideration has nothing to do with judging his spiritual worth before God.
Sharing prayers for Secretary Hegseth is what the above call out requests.

his cabinet and all those who are working for the reset of this Nation. dear Lord Jesus, there are many complaints going around right now about the way Peter Hegseth is doing his job. Now, he may not be able to monitor every hour of every day how his staff is behaving or what they may have fallen down on in their duties. But overall, I do believe that he is working hard to do the very best he can to watch over each and every staff member and how they are doing to do their best in all areas of their assignments, and he himself is doing what I believe to be a very excellent job carrying out all the various things that he promised the POTUS he would cover in a righteous and thorough manner. None of us are perfect and there may be employees who do not understand the seriousness of being secretive in confidential matters. Pete Hegseth has not been working in a Hap hazard way. All of America is so proud of him and the way he is honoring the need for secrecy in Top Secret situations. Stop trying to find fault with men who are devoted to doing all they can to clean this country up. Thank you for your prayers for Pete and all Trump’s selections for this new and great Administration.

Monitor his staff? How about monitoring his behavior! It has come out that there were not just two Signal communications but more than 12 where Hegseth shared top secret or sensitive information.
If we had a Democratic president, IFA would be praying that the truth about the Secretary of Defense’s drinking problems, womanizing, and security leaks would be revealed. People would praying on here that God would show the truth. The partisanship on this site is not Christian. To be a Christian is to ask Jesus into your life and forgive your sins. To be a Christian does not mean that you have to support Trump or any human political party. The partisanship here is shameful.
I agree that folks need to be patient and tolerant when minor mistakes take place, or even when someone has been lax about their duties and must be fired. With a new group of people some adjustments may have to be made, in keeping or letting go of men and women who don’t fit in or are not experienced enough to continue in their assigned duties. But the supervisor in charge of all staff should not be trashed for any mistake or error in judgement . Hegseth is surely doing all he can. Some changes in staff may be needed going forward. He, like everyone else, could use some patience and prayers. Give him time and understanding. He’s the right man for the job, you will see. Thank you!
His mistakes are not minor. He was not hiring strangers out of a long list of job applicates for some minor position in a company. These positions are important. And the people he hired, he said he had known them for years. But even if he had not known them for years, he still had limitless government resources to look into and review these candidates. And we are not talking about one, but an entire group being fired…for NO REASON. This on top of his other missteps.

If we are going to examine the sermon on the mount, how about Matthew 5:43-48 where Jesus calls us to love our enemies, rather than call them names like Demon-crats and calls us to judge all the same, as God treats all people the same. sends rain on the just and unjust. Since the beginning of January 2025, 10 prominent Republicans, Ray Holmberg, Ricci Wynne, Justin Eichorn, Le’Veon Bell, Ryan Jenks, Gary Clark, Aaron Craig Gleason, Zachary Radcliff, David Daniel, and Andrew Taake have all made news for child sex crimes. 0 Democrats have made news for child sex crimes. If the parties were reversed, do you think IFA would be reporting on this? You know they would. As Christians, why not treat all people equally, it is what Jesus told us to do.

Hegseth was in the National Guard and served off and on for 9 years. He never rose above a major which is a position that is mostly staff but can lead a small number of men. Then he jumped into journalism and his life began to unravel. The spotlight was too much for him. He drunk and went through three marriages. He had only started to turn his life around. Being a military leader of multiple branches requires skill. It requires knowledge of military strategy, both ours and the enemies. And in todays battlefield a person has to understand cyber security and rapidly changing technology.
Let he who is without sin cast the first stone. No human being is stellar perfect. Young people fall from grace. But that is part of learning. Lord Jesus, teach us not to be so critical of one another. If we can’t be kind and loving to one another here on earth, how can we manage to be part of a Church without blemish or spots, suitable to be fit for the catching away of the Bride of Christ. Stay in the Word and we will all learn and be ready for the blessed appearance of the Lord Jesus. Show us the areas where we need to grow in love with one another. Thank You, friends!
This sounds religious but has nothing to do with Godly wisdom. No one is discussing Hegseth’s standing with God but rather his fitness for a political post. If one follows your logic any drunker or thug or criminal should be considered for any top position in our military or government because ‘one should caste no stone.’ Of course, his experience and character are important considerations and taking those into consideration has nothing to do with judging his spiritual worth before God.

I personally believe we should militarily destroy Iran’s nuclear program, their missile factories and their drone factories, and shut down their oil fields. It’s clear that Pete Hegseth is being set up by deep state players still in the administration. Signal was used by the previous administration as well. We must be careful to discern truth. His former chief of staff is one of the ones saying that the Pentagon is in chaos. Since Hegseth hired him, I assume he is not deep state.

Where do people get this nonsense? How can a site that is devoted to intercession be filled with such twisted conspiracy theories? This happened three months into the new administration. Biden’s team had cleared out. The key players–all Hegseth appointees– knew that communicating through Signal was not part of military protocol. They initiated the call. I had a terrible dream within the past few hours about Pete Hegseth being tortured, and woke up and prayed for him, his family, and the administration. I rarely remember my dreams, but this one was awful and led me to pray. I happened to then see this article and thought perhaps God allowed me to have that dream to think and pray for Pete along with many others.

I hesitated to share details at the time of this dream I had, but I believed it was Russian men torturing him in my dream. I’m not sure what to think about dreams honestly, but just wanted to share in case anyone was interested. Still praying for Hegseth. Inadvertently, I saw on a liberal TV news clip, Mr. Hegseth comporting himself in a very juvenile response in front of the camera. Hopefully he will come to understand Prov.6.16, and mature in his responses to provocation.
Pete Hegseth is clearly not God’s choice. If God had chosen him, he would have been prepared for years for the position, like David was trained first as a shepherd, then became part of Saul’s court and army, then was on the run and led a disgruntled group of men, then became kind over two countries before becoming king over all. They are not baseless. Mr. Hegseth was an amusing Fox News host. I am not sure he’s the best leader for our nation’s Department of Defense. I certainly pray that Truth will prevail.
What does this have to do with what was instructed? If God could use a donkey in the old testament to save a wicked prophet, then surely, God is more than capable to put men and women in place of authority. We are to do what the Bible has instructed us to do, and that’s pray!

Dina, in the 2000 years of history covered by the Bible, God used a donkey once. I’m not sure that example can be applied to the current administration.
My prayer is not only to protect Secretary Pete Hegseth from baseless attacks but also that the Lord will give Christians guidance on how to help silence the left leaning media who seem to be trying to destroy everything that is good and those who are genuinely pursuing God’s will.
