SCOTUS Declines Case on ‘Hate Groups’

As an organization that has been accused of hate by groups such as Right Wing Watch, IFA took a special interest in this case, joining an amicus brief. While we are saddened by the denial of certiorari, we are still praying for the widespread slander against ministries to end.
On Monday, June 27, SCOTUS denied certiorari in Coral Ridge v. SPLC (Southern Poverty Law Center). In a week of mostly good decisions, that denial was deeply disappointing. The Southern Poverty Law Center hate map is a who’s who of conservatives and Christians fighting for biblical values.

Sadly, the SPLC escaped accountability, and is free to slander yet again.
However, Justice Thomas filed a dissent from the denial of cert (attached). As he explained — “The Southern Poverty Law Center (SPLC) had designated Coral Ridge an “Anti-LGBT hate group” because of its biblical views concerning human sexuality and marriage. Id., at 1270 (internal quotation marks omitted). AmazonSmile excluded Coral Ridge based on SPLC’s “hate group” designation.”
“I would grant certiorari in this case to revisit the “actual malice” standard. This case is one of many showing how New York Times and its progeny have allowed media organizations and interest groups “to cast false aspersions on public figures with near impunity.” Tah, 991 F. 3d, at 254 (opinion of Silberman, J.). SPLC’s “hate group” designation lumped Coral Ridge’s Christian ministry with groups like the Ku Klux Klan and Neo-Nazis. It placed Coral Ridge on an interactive, online “Hate Map” and caused Coral Ridge concrete financial injury by excluding it from the AmazonSmile donation program. Nonetheless, unable to satisfy the “almost impossible” actual-malice standard this Court has imposed, Coral Ridge could not hold SPLC to account for what it maintains is a blatant falsehood. You took the accusation to heart. Why?
You need to give this matter to the Lord.
Because to be honest, you can’t allow accusations against you or IFA to wound you. (to stir up emotions)
You’re saddened by the accusation? You’re saddened about IFA being called a hate group?
The slander would not come if you were a spiritually lukewarm or compromised organization.

Do you know how to deal with “The Slanderer?”
How do you deal with him when he’s attacking you on a personal basis?
Do you get sad/upset? I would hope not. I would hope that you war against those spiritual attacks of “The Slanderer”.
Who is the Slanderer?
Hint: It’s not the SPLC.

This “Make them stop” “Protect us from slander” prayer to God is a bit weird to me.
The individuals in the SPLC need to be saved! They are caught up in some big deceptions. Socialism/Communism, LGBTQIA+, etc.

Jesus we keep calling on you because you are our Savior our wisdom, your words are the knowledge we go by. Daily I call upon your name to keep that hedge of protection over the ones who slander, call us names they do not really know the meanings , I do know the Demonized dark spirits are working overtime to destroy America and other Nations. Jesus we need your help. Give us leaders who are brilliant, people of great character, and individuals who will honor You and Your ways. Deliver us from those who oppose Your ways and laws, who do not love our nation, and who have proven to be foolish and ignorant. I urge others to get excited by spending more time in prayer, calling upon The name of Jesus praying specifically for the many people coming forward to fight for America. Sheriffs Initiative is one great group that is going to be powerfully helpful. When u get step by step organization it really allows step by step protection to be accountable. We thank all of the Intercessors that they will be stronger than ever to eliminate and rebuke the arrows that Satan is trying to send FEAR to many. I rebuke the slander, lies that have a daily threat to many, I rebuke all of the lies, words of hate, words of threats from their mouths. God says speak on this and he will shut their mouths. Slander is for evil and we will reject this spirit that is trying to destroy. James – 4:2 says you have not because many do not ask, we must be bold in our prayers as we ask. God has provided a way out of darkness, do not bow to the enemy ; Shadrach, Meshack, Abednego never bowed when King Nebuchadnezzar threw them in a hot furnace; three were thrown in but all of a sudden there was (four). Jesus appeared to save the three Hebrew children from burning. God gives Grace and the more Grace we need from God , who never ignores our cries. 2 Corinthians- 12:9 says – Sufficient Grace means having enough Grace for any need or words of slander before us So speak God Grace to help us endure traumatic events that is thrown at us. Remember the furnace and what God can deliver us from when we are faced by enemies. When we commit to God and the Authority he gave us: We will not bow!!! I love reading Daniel 3: it reminds me each time what God can do; what happened back then is happening NOW. Even in the middle of all of this insidious mess Gods words ring true. Sin can be deep and wide all over America, but Gods Grace is is wider and deeper. Romans 5:20 Gods Grace wins every time. Jesus there is something powerful about that name. Be Blessed Pray for our Military men/ women; recognize what they represent.
It would seem that Justice Thomas’ comments go to the heart of the matter on the standard issue of “actual-malice” criteria noted by the court. The case cited for precedent is a case in the commercial realm of our nation. This can be surmised from the opposing parties. This case involved slanderous categorization of Coral Ridge & while economic damage did occur, the reason goes more a deeper moral question of freedom of religion on Coral Ridges part as opposed to some form of commercial disadvantage. I agree with Justice Thomas in the need to separate a case when the matter of religious freedom of expression is the cause for the malice inflicted upon the party bringing action, yet it seemed the commercial interests held sway.
SPLC only escaped accountability temporarily! Except they repent for their ways, they will be held accountable by JESUS CHRIST for the deeds done in their bodies and for their lies! FATHER GOD please send laborers to the SPLC workers so they will get saved in JESUS NAME! Amen!
