I Prayed have prayed
Dear God, may we become intimately aware of the resurrection power of God that dwells in us.
Reading Time: 5 minutes

It’s a word we hear repeatedly at this time of year. Most people relate that word — resurrection — only with Jesus rising from the dead. And while that is certainly the most commonly understood use of the word, you might be surprised to learn that resurrection neither began nor ended with the Lord Jesus as we see Him in the Gospels.

Have you taken your place on the wall?

Resurrection means to rise. Furthermore, it means a resurgence or revival, the act of bringing back into existence something that had disappeared or ended. As we can see, there is much more to resurrection than the dead being raised to life.

Even the supernatural raising of the dead is something that was occurring long before Jesus was born, died, and rose again. We see this truth in the account of the son of the widow in Zarephath.

Now it happened after these things that the son of the woman who owned the house became sick. And his sickness was so serious that there was no breath left in him. So she said to Elijah, “What have I to do with you, O man of God? Have you come to me to bring my sin to remembrance, and to kill my son?” And he said to her, “Give me your son.” So he took him out of her arms and carried him to the upper room where he was staying, and laid him on his own bed. Then he cried out to the Lord and said, “O Lord my God, have You also brought tragedy on the widow with whom I lodge, by killing her son?” And he stretched himself out on the child three times, and cried out to the Lord and said, “O Lord my God, I pray, let this child’s soul come back to him.” Then the Lord heard the voice of Elijah; and the soul of the child came back to him, and he revived (1 Kings 17:17–22, NKJV).

We also see resurrection in the life of the Shunammite woman’s son, whom Elisha raised from the dead in 2 Kings 4. And there is also the bizarre account of the dead man whose body was tossed into Elisha’s tomb. This man, too, was restored to life supernaturally (see 2 Kings 13:20–21).

Resurrection as a rising from the dead continued into the accounts of the New Testament, as seen with the son of the widow from Nain; the daughter of Jairus; and, of course, Lazarus (see Luke 7, Luke 8, and John 11). Finally, there is the supreme resurrection: that of the Lord Jesus Himself, Who rose from death on the third day, just as He had promised.

One might conclude that after Jesus left this earth, the realities of resurrection or supernatural raising of the dead would cease. It did not. Peter raised Tabitha (Dorcas) from the dead, and Paul raised Eutychus (see Acts 9 and Acts 20). Even today, although the incidents are few and far between, we do hear of people being raised from the dead. And indeed, Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and forever (Hebrews 13:8). God will never change.

But while these instances of people being raised from the dead are exciting, we must also remember the additional aspects of this powerful word, resurrection.

Resurrection is a resurgence or revival.

A friend recently said to me: “A thing only needs to be revived if that thing has died.” So true, and so profound. We have heard of the revivals on the campuses of Asbury and Lee, among other universities, as well as in several churches across our country. These revivals that are spreading happen only where a revival or resurrection is needed. This resurgence of the power and the presence of God invading colleges, churches, and cities is evidence that the power of resurrection remains, in various and glorious forms.

Resurrection is the act of bringing back into existence something that has disappeared or ended.

This aspect of resurrection — the bringing back of something that has disappeared — is what I believe we’re seeing now in the prayers of God’s people: I have never seen or heard of so many people fasting, praying, and meeting weekly to pray and cry out to God for the healing of our nation. This, my friend, is a resurrection of prayer: the resurrection of a passion to see God move in this land. It’s so exciting to be a part of it!

Yes, resurrection has many facets, but the most humbling part for me is that the power of resurrection remains alive and well within us, the people of God, within those of us who believe in that power. Amen.

In the words of Paul the apostle:

… that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give to you the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of Him, the eyes of your understanding being enlightened; that you may know what is the hope of His calling, what are the riches of the glory of His inheritance in the saints, and what is the exceeding greatness of His power toward us who believe, according to the working of His mighty power which He worked in Christ when He raised Him from the dead and seated Him at His right hand in the heavenly places, far above all principality and power and might and dominion, and every name that is named, not only in this age but also in that which is to come. And He put all things under His feet, and gave Him to be head over all things to the church, which is His body, the fullness of Him who fills all in all (Ephesians 1:17–23 NKJV).

The very same power that raised Jesus from the dead dwells in us. We have the power to release resurrection power into our own situations and challenges, and even into our nation. We have power to bring life back into those areas that appear dead and lifeless. The question is: Do we realize that we’ve got that life-giving power within?

Again, quoting Paul: … that I may know Him and the power of His resurrection … (Philippians 3:10 NKJV). This must be our cry as well. May we know the fullness of the power of His resurrection that dwells within us. The word know in this passage means to become intimately aware of.

During this most holy season, may we all press in to become intimately aware of the resurrection power of God that is in us. May we gain insight into that resurrection power, and into all that this entails. And, finally, may we all walk daily in that resurrection power.

How has God used the power of resurrection in your life? Share below and encourage others!

I truly believe that we, as a nation, are going to experience a “near death experience” where God will be our only way back. So many signs are pointing to this. Father, heal or land, forgive our sins, revive us again for your glory, and may your will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Praying that we see a great movement among our land and that many souls may come to know you! In your precious Son’s name Jesus, I pray, Amen.

Oh Lord our God we praise You for. Who You are! Blessed are You o LORD our God, King of the Universe!! You love us each, created us in Your image. Sin entered the world, the devil Stole the Title Deed to the Earth! But God- the 2 best words in the Bible- made a way where there seems to be No Way!! If You want a job done right, do it Yourself! So You, being a Supernatural are Not 3 God’s in 1 , not q+1+1=3 NO!! You tell us You are ‘Unified, Complete, Lacking Nothing ‘in The Name Eliohim in Genesis1:1!! 1×1×1=1 God!! The Supernatural Trinity! So since sin separates us from a Holy God!! W have a colossal problem!! But God always makes a way when there seems to be No Way!!! God the Fsther, Who is Spirit so powerful and glorious He can not be seen by humans and live! So He sent Jesus, God The Son Who has a Physical body to live a life we live but The LORD God sent God the Holy Spirit to forshadowed Mary , a young Jewish virgin who loved God, to bring Jesus the Messiah the promised Savior – virgin birth is God’s idea!! It bypassed the ruination of the human race!! NO sin of Adam passed down!!! So a perfect, pure, Sinless Savior was born!! Jesus The Messiah! Born to be our example, go through same issues we face in life and relate to us, but show us how to relate to God!! And Jesus carried out His Divine Assignment!! To the point of torture and death on the Roman cross!! He paid the Sin debt we owe, that separates us from a Holy God!! All other religions must ” work” Good Deeds” to attempt to reach their God, but God in Tremendous Love, mercy Reaced down to Us!!! As we were hopeless to save ourselves!! Jesus is our Passover Lamb that takes away the sin of the world!!! Past, present and future!!All we have to do is Believe this is true, Repent of our sins ( u-turn with our life) follow Him! Live for Him as a Thank You LORD for saving me from Eternal Seperation form God!! We can never repay , or thank You enough, We give You All honor, power and glory in Jesus Name Amen!!! We remember and celebrate Christ The LORD is Risen today! On First Fruits Jewish holiday! Thank You LORD !! In Jesus Name Amen

God is knocking hard at my door but I am lacking the power and will to answer. I need the Spirit to energize me. To pick me up as I lay on the ground, battered and beaten. I do not want to lose hope, yet that hope is slowly leaving me as a hole in a boat filling with water. Soon I will drown. Lord I pray for your power and wisdom. I mainly pray for resurrection.

Scott, I believe I was purposely brought back to this page to read your comment. I was reminded of a verse in the song,”Vice Verses.”

“I know that there’s a meaning to it all, a little resurrection every time I fall.”

As you read the scripture below, I pray He answers your prayer. I agree Lord, raise this man up. Revive Your purpose in him and rekindle Your flame. I am praying in the Name of Jesus Christ. Amen

🔥When they thought they would drown in a storm, the Apostles called out to Jesus as he slept. He rebuked the winds and the sea and it was perfectly calm. Matthew 8

🔥…they cried out to the LORD in their trouble, and He brought them out of their distress. He calmed the storm to a whisper, and the waves of the sea were hushed. Psalm 107

🔥You rule the raging sea; when its waves mount up, You still them. Psalm 89

🔥”Don’t be afraid, I have redeemed you; I’m calling you by your name; you are Mine. When you pass through rivers, they will not overwhelm you; when you walk through fire, you will not be scorched, the flame will not burn you. I regard you as valued and honored and I love you. I have chosen you; know Me, trust Me. Understand that I AM HE, no god was before Me and none will be after Me. I am ADONAI. I will pour My Spirit on your descendants, My blessing on your offspring. I formed you, don’t forget Me.”
    from Isaiah 43, 44

Brother I want to encourage you. Psalm 34: 17-22.
He is closer than you think. I find that I often struggle internally especially on Sunday before service.
I have to force myself to go dealing with feelings of inadequacy and emotional turmoil.
I pour out my heart to Him during worship time, often with tears, and seek Him as best I can at the moment. He always changes my outlook and the focus comes off of me and is directed at serving others and meeting their needs. My issues don’t seem so overpowering. It is not a quick fix but a redirecting of focus and a letting go of those things that hold me so oppressively. Asking for prayer from sincere and trusted believers and fellowship with other believers who care about you during the week are also excellent help. Phil. 1:6
    Grace and peace to you

Dear Lord, thank You for the precious gift of ever lasting life! Oh, what a Savior we have! Thank You for this beautiful reminder of where our hearts and minds should be set. Even now I am reminded of those who are currently persecuted for their faith and are enduring great trials. Please remind them, as You have reminded us, of Your great love and power. Comfort the broken-hearted, heal the sick, give sight to the blind, set the prisoner free, provide tor the widow and orphans and raise the dead! Hallelujah! Your plan manifested through us. LORD GOD ALMIGHTY, Your name says it all. By Your Holy Spirit guide and teach Your flock, bringing all things to remembrance that Jesus has said (John 14:26). In Jesus’ powerful name. Amen.

Father thank you for sending Jesus. Father God Thank You for loving us enough to reverse the Fall and bring us back into your family. I thank you for the Cross of Life! Father God what you did for us on the Cross is a gift that WE can never fulfill to a decree of High Victory. Christ announcement” it is finished” was not His last words as he hung on the Cross that has been depicted over the years. Jesus last words were actually “ Father Into Your Hands I command My Spirit” Father God these words were researched by a powerful Man Of God (DS)as I read the many scriptures it declares that in Psalms-22:31 “ They shall come and shall declare His righteousness to a people yet to be born—that He has done it [that it is finished]!“ Jesus cried out in a loud voice- Mark-15:37 “37But Jesus uttered a (loud cry,) and breathed out His last [voluntarily, sovereignly) dismissing and releasing His spirit from His body in submission to His Father’s plan]” ( Amplified Bible) God these words are so powerful: He Jesus was already speaking of generations yet to be born that will Glorify Him. (Psalms 22:31) Jesus thank you for these powerful words that has allowed Us to be blessed with words of truth from Prophets, Ministers of the gospel that write beautiful words that teaches us- these are God given from the voice of our Father. “ Christ was able to Endure the Cross because of the Joy set before Him”. We are the next generations and we are to declare “It is finished” on Resurrection Day” we celebrate the God Head Our God-Father-Son- and Holy Spirit the Three in one! Thank you for the Holy Spirit that dwells in us as Christian’s. “ “ little Christs” First John 4:17- Amplified- “In this [union and fellowship with Him], love is completed and perfected with us, so that we may have confidence in the day of judgment [with assurance and boldness to face Him]; because as He is, so are we in this world.” I encourage others to read all corresponding scripture and follow and learn the messages by asking our Father to clarify what some of these verses really are saying. I thank God I researched ( which took time) what Resurrection is and how it is celebrated – With our Fathers Son. ( I also in my heart heard these Words : The Cross is not Death It Is Life) Life abundantly as we follow in His steps and The powerful words that are a Road Map to direct us in the way He wants us To Go. I am more than Thankful, feeling Honored, knowing God Loves me (us) as we ask God to give Us Upper Room experiences as we grow to be more Like Him. I am excited, full of Praise for what God has done. Thank you Father, “Yahweh “ our Lord of Salvation. ✝️🧎‍♀️🧎‍♀️

After more than 14 years fighting Lyme disease, a special woman and I were guided to meet at a local gas station and to share with each other about prayer and healing. She prayed for me to be healed of Lyme disease, and that it would not come back ever again. Also, she prayed that as I press in to Jesus deeper, my other health issues will also be healed, in God’s time. Lastly, Holy Spirit shared that he was aware that I was praying for my youngest son and husband to be healed of Lyme disease, too, and that it was not yet their time, but they will also be healed in God’s time–I believe in the resurrection power of prayer, and that we have it as Christians and children of God! Prayer should be our first response to all that is, and happens, in our lives!–We must Believe/have faith, and pray and continue to pray asking, seeking, knocking, and God/Jesus/Holy Spirit will answer our prayers! Yahweh, we stand in the gap for our nation and the world, repenting of our sins and the sins of our nation and all on the earth, and ask that your kingdom come on earth as it is in heaven, and that You will be done on earth as it is in heaven, and that in Your time, revival and resurrection can and will continue to draw each person to you and they will be saved, America and every nation will be saved/revived/resurrected as You will and in Your time, Jesus’ name, Amen!

Happy Resurrection Sabbath!!! He is ALIVE!!!! Hallelujah!!!!!

“Preserve me, O God, for in You I put my trust. O my soul, you have said to the Lord, “You are my Lord, My goodness is nothing apart from You.” As for the saints who are on the earth, “They are the excellent ones, in whom is all my delight.” Their sorrows shall be multiplied who hasten after another god; Their drink offerings of blood I will not offer, Nor take up their names on my lips. O Lord, You are the portion of my inheritance and my cup; You maintain my lot. The lines have fallen to me in pleasant places; Yes, I have a good inheritance. I will bless the Lord who has given me counsel; My heart also instructs me in the night seasons. I have set the Lord always before me; Because He is at my right hand I shall not be moved. Therefore my heart is glad, and my glory rejoices; My flesh also will rest in hope. For You will not leave my soul in Sheol, Nor will You allow Your Holy One to see corruption. You will show me the path of life; In Your presence is fullness of joy; At Your right hand are pleasures forevermore.”

Oh, how I LOVE this message!! I too have been spending many days and hours this year fasting and listening to God’s word and growing in resurrection power. HE is transforming ME!
My husband passed into glory last year and this year is a time of transition for me. Smith Wigglesworth (as reported by Robert Lairden in God’s Generals) allowed grief after the loss of his wife promote him into an international ministry that was bigger, better, brighter and bolder than ever before. It promoted him into miracle ministry! I can relate! My own spiritual walk is becoming bigger, better, brighter and bolder than ever before.
Thank you for the awesome message on resurrection!

Dear Jesus, just as you used the power of God to be resurrected from the grave, empower us thru our prayers and actions to resurrect our nation. Forgive us for not using the power and authority you gave us to continue to secure our nation UNDER God. We have failed. Forgive us.

You and our forefathers gave birth to a righteous, just and God-loving nation. Our nation is dying. Send revival,Holy Spirit. Pour the live-giving blood of Jesus into us. Show us how to do our part in honoring you. Keep us steadfast as we draw nearer to you. We appeal to heaven. We decree revive our country. Draw us back to you, Lord. We ask for a pouring out of your Holy Spirit. I have seen how a blood transfusion can pour life back into a dying person. Pour the blood of Jesus over us. Revive us. Give us life..your abundant and rich life. Snatch our country out of the hands of darkness and death, just as you did when you resurrected Jesus and gave him authority over hell and the grave. Mercy. Mercy. Mercy. We love you, Father and put our hope fully in you.

Jesus HAS RISEN, just as HE said & we rejoice with the Resurrection Power He gives us to do His will on the earth today!
The Lord Jesus directed me 2 times to locations where a homeless woman & years later, a man outside of a church had no pulse & were not breathing-Commanding LIFE & calling on the mighty name of JESUS brought these souls back to LIFE! To God be the glory!

When souls give their lives to the Lord Jesus, souls are saved by hearing the Gospel or the GOOD NEWS of Jesus & new life given to all that receive Him. Shout it from the mountain tops-Jesus is ALIVE!

It has always been my understanding that resurrection is unique to Christ in that He will never die again. Those who have been brought back to life will physically die again. We share in His resurrection now and at the end of time the dead in Christ will rise again to new life. But Jesus’ resurrection is the first fruit of what is to come. America will be revived but she will not exist forever.

“THE RESURRECTION POWER”
I Love the Resurrection Article;
testifying to the truths of the Scriptures!
A very powerful revelation to meditate upon; that is, the eyes of our hearts being enlightened with the understanding that our Heavenly Father God is so good to us that He “graced” us” (His children) with the same “Resurrection Power” of our Lord and Savior ✝️Jesus 🐑Yeshua, who is the RESURRECTION and the LIFE, who dwells in us!
May we, the Body of Christ receive greater revelation and understanding of this “Truth” and begin to walk therein!
Happy Resurrection to the Family of God, our Creator (ElOHIM) as we celebrate the “RESURRECTION” of His Beloved Son, and our Lord and Savior Jesus Yeshua Christ, Messiah and King, King of Kings, and Lord of Lords, ✝️🕊☁️! We are administered this Precious Gift of Power and Anointing through by the Power of the Precious Holy Spirit, of whom dwells in us!
We are His Temple!
Amen and Amen 🙏
