Hamas has reportedly agreed, under the terms of President Donald Trump’s peace plan proposal, to release all the remaining hostages being held in Gaza and give up power to a Palestinian body, The Associated Press reports. There are almost 50 hostages still in Gaza, 20 of whom are believed to be alive.

Hamas has signaled it is ready to begin negotiations to determine the details of the deal.

“Hamas says it has agreed to release all Israeli hostages and signaled its readiness to enter negotiations to work out the details. Don’t get too excited – it’s the ‘details’ that could be the dealbreaker,” author and pro-Israel activist Aviva Klompas wrote on X Friday.

The news comes after Trump unveiled a 20-point peace plan with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu at the White House Monday. Israel has accepted the terms of the plan, which includes Hamas giving up all power in Gaza and immediately releasing all the living and dead hostages.

Trump shared an image of Hamas’ statement on social media Friday afternoon, which reads in part:

“Within this framework, and within a manner that achieves an end to the war and a full withdrawal from the strip, the movement announces its approval of releasing all occupied prisoners … according to the exchange formula contained in President Trump’s proposal, with the necessary field conditions for implementing the exchange. In this context, the movement affirms its readiness to immediately enter, through the mediators, into negotiations and discuss the details.”

“As for the other issues in President Trump’s proposal relating to the future of Gaza and the fundamental rights of the Palestinian people,” Hamas continued, “these are tied to a comprehensive national position, rooted in relevant international laws and resolutions, to be discussed within an inclusive Palestinian national framework—of which Hamas will be part and to which it will contribute with full responsibility.”

The statement from Hamas comes only hours after Trump warned Hamas they had until 6 p.m. EST to accept the deal, calling it their “last chance.”

“If this LAST CHANCE agreement is not reached, all HELL, like no one has ever seen before, will break out against Hamas. THERE WILL BE PEACE IN THE MIDDLE EAST ONE WAY OR THE OTHER,” Trump said.

Father, I pray Hamas would abide by the peace plan. Give wisdom and strength to President Trump and Netanyahu as this peace plan is discussed. Protect Israel from their enemies who want to destroy them. I praise your name.

God has been impressing upon me the importance of celebrating the Jewish Feasts laid out in Leviticus 23. At the synagogue service on Rosh Hashanah who greeted me at the door, a security guard! At the Messianic service on Yom Kippur, who greeted me at the door, a security guard! Both congregations could not even worship freely without armed PROTECTION! This is America in Omaha, NE where we have freedom of religion! With anti-semitism exploding in our country the church must support Israel in every way that it can! I AM PRAYING FOR PASTORS! It is “WE THE PEOPLE”, laymen in the pew, who must respectfully talk to our pastors, DIALOGUE WITH THEM as Charlie Kirk would have done to help them come to a BIBLICAL WORLDVIEW of Israel! A prayer: “Father, the one new man is Jews & Christians worshipping together. Ephesians 2:14-15 says ‘Instead of continuing with two separate groups of people separated by centuries of animosity and suspicion, He created a new kind of human being, a fresh start for everybody’. Father, I pray that your Holy Spirit will move on the hearts of Jews & Gentiles to live out these words from Your Word. In Jesus name I pray this. Amen.”

Father God, I pray that all hostages are returned. I pray that no one is fooled into believing that Hamas will ever be a “good citizen” in or any where near Israel. But I know that you can bring Hamas to nothing in your time, by the means you choose. I trust you to do that. I pray in Jesus’ name for the people of Israel to have their eyes opened to know their Messiah, including many people in government. I pray that they will seek to fully know God – Father Son and Holy Spirit. And that they turn to you with all their hearts and surrender to you. THEN we will see what true peace in the middle east looks like, as you have always promised in you Word, both old and new Testaments, to show them.
