Rep. August Pfluger (R-TX) and House Republicans on Tuesday introduced legislation that aims to lower healthcare costs and fix the “disaster” that is Obamacare.
Pfluger introduced the More Affordable Care Act (MACA), the House companion legislation to Sen. Rick Scott’s (R-FL) bill, which Breitbart News detailed at the Breitbart Fight Club.
“America’s health care system is broken, plagued by skyrocketing costs and declining patient outcomes. The Democrats’ Obamacare disaster completely failed to deliver on its core promises, and Republicans must fix it,” Pfluger, the chairman of the Republican Study Committee (RSC), said in a statement to Breitbart News.
Representative Pfluger’s legislation would establish health savings accounts called Trump Health Freedom accounts that would give money to consumers instead of insurance companies. The legislation would also establish options for plans, options to allow Americans to shop across state lines, and codify President Trump’s executive order increasing healthcare price transparency.
Breitbart notes that healthcare price transparency “has been a cornerstone of Trump’s healthcare reforms.” Additionally, the President previously suggested giving money directly to Americans as a way to combat exorbitant healthcare costs. Now, it seems that plan may become reality.
As Republicans in Congress to pass legislation, let’s pray for more affordable healthcare for every American.

Excellent idea, hope it passes. And as usual, the Democrats create a boondoggle of disaster and Republicans are left to clean it up.
The More Affordable Care Act is a brilliant solution compared to Obamacare. Completely bypass the greedy insurance companies. Let us not forget the years the US citizens were penalized for not having a insurance carrier under the then president Obama with his Obamacare failure. If I’m not mistaken it was close to one hundred dollar penalty. Where did all that money the IRS recovered from the millions upon millions of people that were not able to afford healthcare insurance. The old greedy thief has been caught and must repay sevenfold of what was stolen. Proverbs 6 : 31.
Obamacare is just another scam aimed at the section of our citizens that do not have access to big group insurance programs. My daughter’s premiums were raised to 600.00 a month in 2026 from 200.00 in 2024. She cannot afford this so she will have no insurance. This is in no way affordable insurance. I am praying for the MACA insurance program be passed.
My son-in-law is a teacher. His big group insurance deductible for the family is $15,000! before the insurance kicks in! This is insane! The medical/insurance system is beyond broken! I pray that MACA will help in this situation as well.
There also needs to be Legal provision made for doctors to use functional healthy and natural alternatives to the big Pharma medications required to be the only choice doctors have to offer their patients with all its toxic and often fatal side effects (just watch the tv ads for these medications). Please pray with me that Father will give divine wisdom to our government representatives as the work hard to provide affordable health restorative care for all citizens.
i think the Obama Care Act should be done away with. It does not cover all citizens. Illegal alien’s are taking the privileges of American citizens
I believe that they should extend the ACA subsidies, it’s going to be much harder and more expensive the way trump wants it. I’m afraid that I will have to decide whether to get my prescriptions or food. Dear Lord, please help us all. Thank you 🙏
could our success in bringing USA back to our roots; cutting off the grafted branches of anti- USA ; and getting bills passed be dependent on not using “us and them” terminology or naming the leaders names ? what if the new health care system was just USA health care? or Care for Citizens?
