I Prayed have prayed
Father, we thank You for all You have done in our nation. As we celebrate America's 250th anniversary, we pray our nation would rededicate itself to You.
Reading Time: 2 minutes

Our vision for 2026 is not just to celebrate America’s 250th anniversary, but to celebrate the miraculous works that God has done throughout our nation and invite Him to do it again.

Do you want state prayer alerts?

That vision has become reality with the brand-new American Spiritual Heritage Project.

The American Spiritual Heritage Project is a grassroots, interactive online initiative designed to collect, preserve, and share stories of faith, historical religious influence, and spiritual experiences across the United States.

Most importantly, it is to build faith and mobilize an army of intercessors, rededicating our nation to the Lord.  By seeing God’s hand upon our nation over hundreds of years will spur Believers to be history makers themselves and cry out to God, “Would you do it again!”

A Digital Archive of Spiritual Stories

At its core, the project provides a map-based platform where users can explore and contribute spiritual heritage stories from every state, county, and community. Intercessors are encouraged to share historical accounts of how faith impacted their area—whether through church milestones, religious revivals, community service rooted in faith, or other significant moments that reflect spiritual influence.

These entries become part of a visual, searchable archive, creating what is “the most significant spiritual document in the history of our nation.”

Whether someone wants to discover what God has done in their own locale, search for heritage accounts in another part of the country, or submit their own narrative, the site’s interactive tools make the process accessible. Many spiritual heritage stories have already been catalogued through the platform, and this number continues to grow as more people participate.

Three Pillars: Recount, Reclaim, Rededicate

The project is structured around a three-step process:

  • Recount — Dig into the faith history of your community and record stories of spiritual impact.
  • Reclaim — Reflect on and reclaim the promises and principles drawn from those spiritual accounts.
  • Rededicate — Participate in personal or community prayer and dedication to renew commitment to God’s principles for the nation.

These steps are meant not only to document history but to inspire reflection and prayer, encouraging participants to see their local stories as part of a greater national spiritual legacy. The site even offers custom prayer resolutions and a downloadable National Prayer of Rededication to help guide intercessors through the rededication process.

Beyond Stories: A Movement of Rededicating our Nation to God

The American Spiritual Heritage Project is more than a static archive; it’s a participatory movement. As individuals submit their stories and engage with the map, they become part of an ongoing effort to breathe life into the spiritual heritage still shapes American identity and future.

Whether you’re seeking to learn how religious faith shaped your hometown or you want to be part of a nationwide spiritual dialogue, the American Spiritual Heritage Project blends technology, storytelling, and devotion in a uniquely American context.

You can be part of this national movement and submit your spiritual heritage here: rededicateamerica.org

Dear IFA,
I am an historian at Washington Crossing State Park in New Jersey and would like to contribute an entry to your spiritual archive and map of Mercer County in New Jersey. How do I do this? This site only allowed to search for information and the map, but not to contribute.
It is an exciting account of Reverend Elihu Spenser, the Presbyterian minister in Trenton, trying to escape the Hessian Occupation of Trenton with his 2 daughters and household on December 8, 1776. He is led to Johnson’s Ferry, operated by New Side Patriots. The account includes actual primary source quotes from daughters Margaret and Lydia here at the Ferry where I currently work and serve. I believe this account is worthy to be added to your archive and map
Sincerely,
Nancy Ceperley Deal HRIS, Johnson Ferry House WCSP NJ

I thank you for your acknowledgement and kind words. I’m not sure my message posted to Van S. if not, after miraculously finding my blood family I’m a member of The Bois Forte Band of Ojibwe in Virginia, Minnesota. I’m actually a “Findian”. half Finnish and half Chippewa.

I was born in Nashville, TN in 1954. I was brought up in a sort of Christian home. My home was embattled and as a child, I sought the Lord to intervene, but I did not know how. I sought the Lord for 8 1/2 years until the evening of 4/3/72 when I confessed to the Lord that I was giving ALL to Him. At that point, the Holy Spirit entered me to such an extent that I felt empowered starting with my feet and finally to my head…I was totally His. I have faithfully followed Christ and then in 1980, I thankfully married my beloved and we have walked together with Christ coming upon 46 years. The Lord has given us 4 children who are all walking quite well with the Lord and all but one is married. I served as elder in our NYC church for 3 decades until we moved to TX.

Brothers and sisters, please read post by Shari Morningstar and my comment below. Again I write not as political statement but as a believer. I am not highly involved in this need but please note per John Dawson book below and comments by ApostlecJay Swallow how Biblically such injustices bring curses on a land, So as we pray for America’s healing and restoration– again aside from divisive political rhetoric-:I strongly am convicted this issue of vast injustices against Native Americans –unlike other ethnic groups– is very grievous sin which is a deep and serious wound needful to address to restoe our nation.

Granted I believe most US believers are not aware of tbe situation. SO PARDON THE CAPS FOR EMPHASIS NOT ANGER. BUT MAY I URGE THAT THIS MATTER BE LIFTED IN PRAYER BY INTERCESSORS–NOT JUST A MOMENTARY PRAYER CALLS. BUT IF PERHAPS IFA COULD DELVE INTO AND RESEARCH SPECIFICS AND TAKE ON AS A VITAL PART OF IFA’S IMPORTANT PRAYER MISSION IF NOT BEING DONE ALREADY?

PRAYER UNTIL WE SEE ACTION ADEQUATE TO REMEDY THE PROBLEM IN PROCESS..Thanks fellow intercessors!

Shari, so so sorry for all the pain and suffering you and fellow Native Americans have endured. And I know words can be easy to say and be empty. But Ibpray you find peace and comfort in all those memories.
For now will be brief. But yes many, many injustices unquestionably been done against Native Americans.

And I say this not politically but spiritually, I believe may have been the late Native American apostle Jay Swallow who mentioned at least three injustices the Bible condemns that brought curses on our nation: the shedding of innocent blood, breaking of treaties and trying to recall third.

And perhaps 20:or so years ago Christian author John Dawson (from New Zealand so part indigenous himself) wrote a book Healing America’s Wounds which dealt more specifically with this.Widely recognized then but I need to check the latest.

And I have a Christian friend who is trying to help a Native chief help his tribe. I know a growing number of Christians, including Native American Christians are working to redress and remedy much of that. And others.

Yet, I suspect many Christians are just not aware. Shari if I may be hopefully true but I really strongly believe that Jesus weeps over the treatment of First Nations peoples and wants to bring healing and restoration to First Nations peoples so He can fully restore and heal our nations wounds.

And as tragically slow as it’s been, I really believe Jesus is raising up a movement to remedy that.

Shari, are you on here regularly? May I ask you if you feel comfortable sharing what tribe you are a part of or at least what part of the country?
I’d like to check some things.

Thank you for you,’re having the courage to share.

Lord Jesus, You know that apostacy has become a major issue in America. People, including our leaders, have turned away from You and Your precepts, and turned to their own limited, evil ways of thinking and of doing things. I pray, Lord, that You would have mercy on them, and give them ample reason to repent of their ungodly actions. personally, it means that I need to depend on Your mighty provision, guidance, and grace. This means dying to self. It means that I need to give the same grace to others that You have given to me so freely.. Please. give me what I need to truly be Your servant. Thank You Jesus.

The most important point is neither Recount, Reclaim, or Rededicate — it is:
REPENT!
REPENT AMERICA!. For all the murder of babies in the womb: Repent!
Jesus tells the Daughters of Jerusalem, “weep for yourselves and for your children,” highlighting the seriousness of sin. Other passages, like Ezra 10:1, show collective weeping and confession before God, emphasizing deep repentance.

I am 77 and an Elder of a large tribe, born on the rez, taken away from my very poor, but loving Grandparents at the age of 3 and put in dreadful, mean white foster homes. oh yes, I remember that time. I was adopted by a white family 1 month before I turned 5. To say that this Country, founded by Freemasons, savagely stolen by invading people from other Countries, are Christian, is rather curious, to me. The way the indigenous peoples of this Country are still treated, is reprehensible. it’s now happening again, the millions of Illegals and islamists. it’s scary, isn’t it? I’m surprised, not one Christian correlates what is going on now, to what we have endured from white Christian invaders, for years. By the way, Our Father, has protected me from evil, countless times. Jesus is real. I don’t know how I could have prevailed and existed without Him.

Dear Shari, your story is so very, very sad.
You are only 77, so that is all recent history! I am shocked!
Then, like now, people claim to be Christian but are not:
*Matthew 7:16 “Ye shall know them by their fruits. Do men gather grapes of thorns, or figs of thistles? 17 Even so every good tree bringeth forth good fruit;”
King James version of The Bible.

    Sheri,
I am soo very sorry for what you’ve been forced to live through.
My Mother’s family came to America on tge Mayflower. But, along the way, one did marry an Indian. I have always had a soft spot towards our Native People.
Please accept my apologies for the way you were treated.
My family has produced several Preachers. My youngest son is our newest.
I’m asking God for comfort for you. 🙏

What a fantastic resource! I was able to look up the current area I live in and gather prayer points…as well as go back to the state I grew up in and read about the Jesus movement that led to my parents salvation! What a great tool!
