The horrific events currently occurring in Israel are a clear example of the reality of evil in the world. The Bible tells us that it is Satan who comes to steal, kill and destroy. Wherever you see theft, murder and destruction you can know what spirit is controlling the hearts and minds of those who perpetrate such horrendous actions. The rational mind would find it difficult to think of any reason why one would resort to such horrific actions against other human beings. To understand such evil, one must look beyond the rational, beyond the natural, but into the supernatural, from where most of human activity emanates. There are two driving forces in this natural world: the force of good which derives from God, and the force of evil which derives from Satan. There are no other. So when one sees goodness, kindness, generosity, self-sacrifice and such it, derives from God, whether the individual knows Him or not. This is what theologians call common grace; that is God’s goodness shed abroad on people, even those who don’t know or acknowledge Him, personally. On the other hand, when you see atrocities, murders, violence, thievery and such, it derives from Satan and is executed through demons, who are in effect, evil angels. Satan and his demon minions always operate in darkness remaining hidden from even those under their control, lies being their primary weapon. Many of those under this demonic control fall to the delusion that they are their own master. They fail to realize that an invisible someone is actually pulling their strings. As Bob Dylan reminded us,
“You’re going to have to serve somebody.
Well, it may be the devil or it may be the Lord
But you’re going to have to serve somebody”

What’s important for us to understand is that demonic spirits have limited control of our natural world. Satan was cast down to the earth with one third of the heavenly hosts, and He roams about as a roaring lion seeking whom he may devour, (Rev. 12:9, 1 Peter 5:8). Demonic control is the natural atmosphere and power at work in this world in the lives of most people whether they realize it or not. Am I saying that people are possessed by Satan? I will not quibble over the meaning of the word, “possession,” but I will posit that without God, people are influenced to one degree or another, by demonic powers. Whether Satan is actually in someone, on someone or around someone, is not visually discernable, so let’s just call it “demonization” in one degree or another.
Just as individuals can be demonized in varying degrees, so can nations made up of those people. A simple survey of world cultures will show that the more the acknowledgement of God is absent from a culture the more demonic activity will be evident. The spiritual realm abhors a vacuum. This results in what may be called “goat nations,” that are mostly under the influence of godless, pagan and demonic powers. Sheep nations are those that still acknowledge God and Biblical values in their systems and institutions.
So, we see that the controlling demonic spirits that commit atrocities around the world are the very same spirits we see controlling the American left that advances such pagan and demonic rituals as child sacrifice, that is abortion, sexual immorality, lawlessness, and increasing authoritarian control.
As Christians engaged in spiritual warfare we must understand that there are only two forces at work in this world, and we must pray and act in such a way as to advance the forces and power of God upon a world, presently occupied by Satan and his demons. That’s precisely why Adam was given the charge to “rule over” or to take dominion over the natural world (Gen. 2:28). We all know that the first Adam failed in this mission, and so the second Adam came, Jesus Christ, to accomplish that mission through his Church, for he has given to his Church the authority to tread up serpents and all the powers of the enemy, until the enemy is made his footstool, (Luke 10:19, Hebrews 10:13).
Our spiritual warfare must be directed toward those demonic forces causing a living hell in the Holy Land today, with an understanding that it is the very same spirit that is energizing the American left. It must be defeated here as well as in Israel. We must pray like it all depends on God and work like it all depends on us, because “Everybody’s gotta serve somebody.”

Thank you Lord for opening our eyes and giving us ears to hear what the Spirit is saying to the Church. Father, we repent for entertaining men’s arguments for evil in our nation. We ask you to awaken the Body of Christ to the power and authority of your Word. When you say it’s evil, it’s evil. What you call good, is good. Open the eyes of the blind. Draw us nearer to your heart. We thank you and praise you now, Lord that we are led up by your Spirit to proclaim the good news of the Gospel. We pray for our nation to be turned for your glory. We pray the peace of Jerusalem and we thank you that greater is he who is in us, than he that is in the world. Get the glory Lord as we pray, seek your face, and follow after hard after you. In Jesus name we pray. Amen.
Matthew-15-19 (AMPC) “ I will give you the keys of the kingdom of heaven; and whatever you bind (declare to be improper and unlawful) on earth must be what is already bound in heaven; and whatever you loose (declare lawful) on earth must be what is already loosed in heaven.” We decree the power and activity of the occult that is working against this nation is bound and rendered powerless in the name of Jesus! We break the curse of every curse, spell, and hex of every divination. We declare that all plans of evilness shall fall to the ground and have no control or effect on us in America. We bind the release of demons that try to intimidate or infiltrate our nations. We say that all demonic control crumbles and falls under our feet. We ask and say all symbols and images of false gods shall be tore down and removed. We condemn and reverse every curse already in motion that when we speak the name of Jesus it will become null and void. And will be replaced with Gods blessings and the peace that His blessings bring unto us. We loose angelic beings to war against demons in the Heavenlies and to bring about an outpouring of God’s love to cover this land and the land of Israel. WE stand firm and decree that all curses and hate are broken and removed over these lands in Jesus’ Name.! We must bring forth the words of our Heavenly Father to spread over this earth and unseen spiritual world that we cannot physically see! God open hearts and eyes that the demonized presence and the effects that the evil spirits has its effects on a nation. We see the hatred effects it has on Israel and the United States of America. Many people have little or no comprehension of the Demonic powers that satan exists. God gave us the Words of Authority against ALL spirits and the devil. ( Luke -4-6) says “ And he said to him, “I will give you all their authority and splendor; it has been given to me, and I can give it to anyone I want to.” These are Faith filled words and the power of Jesus name, we can use these words to break all evil communication against our Nations. Jesus – name is the Power to bind these demons from the influences over our great nations- they shall have no power against His Name and the blood 🩸 that was sacrificed for us – and they shall bow to the one and only True God! His name must be glorified and honored daily! He is our forever! His name is above every name: God says: Be still, and know I am God: 🧎♀️🇺🇸🇮🇱
Father in the name of Jesus i humbly agree with your word that i do not know how to pray effectively but the holy spirit does, so I ask the Holy Spirit to help me and your intecessors to intercede with the obedience, words, and or deep groanings of the spirit necessary to overcome satan, his hordes, his deeds, and his human cohorts, to expose and overcome evil with good, to overcome false religions and false doctrines religions, agnosticism with pure unadulterated truth, and to overcome spiritual errors, apathy, sloth, spiritual adultery, and slumber in your true church through your mercies, and the truth and power of your unadulterated word.Father let your will be done on earth as it is in heaven, expose and deliver us from all evil in the church, our government, our education system, entertainment, and media, expose and overcome all errors, false doctrines and traditions in the church which have contributed to the church become religious instead of having a true relationship with you, and become fearful instead of fearless, and become judgemental finger pointing phairsees instead of loving unconditionally and having the spiritual gifts to help expose deliver sinners in true love from their bondages. Father, raise up true servants of Jesus Christ and give them the deliverance gifts of prophecy, word of knowledge, healing, teaching and miracles, whom you can entrust these gifts with, believers who would not use them for fame or fortune, only your glory alone and the spiritual and physical deliverance and well being of others. Fsther thank you for hearing our prayers and answering them. In Jesus name.
Very well written with good sensical biblical understanding espoused through these words of explanation and enlightenment for those who “have ears that hear”! Help us remember who the true enemies are, Lord and live discerning, effective lives to Your glory!!
We must remember it’s not just the left in America under demonic influence but anyone who does not walk in Jesus ! It’s not a left or right issue but a spiritual one.
Excellent article! How sad that the church for the most part ignores Scripture regarding the demonic, because evil triumphs where not recognized and dealt with according to God’s instruction. The Greek word, translated in several different ways, should be as you stated, be translated “demonized” – meaning to be under the influence of a demon. It was used to describe the spiritual condition of the woman bent over to the man of the Gadarenes. The level of demonization and how it was expressed was definitely different, but the source of the influence was the same – and the way it was dealt with was the same. Ignoring what you fear doesn’t release you from it, but usually only results in greater bondage. LORD, I ask that You reveal to the body of Christ the truth – we have an enemy, but You have provided all we need to wage war effectively and be delivered. Teach and instruct us, Holy Spirit – that we may be that beautiful bride, without spot, wrinkle or any such thing – prepared for Your soon return.
Oh Amen, Mary Beth ! May our good Father and Captain of the heavenly host open the eyes of His peoples’ hearts to ‘see’ the true enemy of our souls in Jesus name and to Your glory, Lord. Amen.
Thank you for this article. It is so critical that we view our world and its events through an eternal Biblical perspective – God’s view – God’s truth – what God has to say about me and you and how we are to walk in this world as His servants, His stewards, His ambassadors, His children, as the Redeemed He came to rescue. This article makes things clear, it is simple yet profound – we have a choice – we have new choices every minute of every day. Nothing has changed since Joshua said to the Israelites –
“choose for yourselves this day whom you will serve, . . . But as for me and my household, we will serve the Lord. . . . ‘Now then,’ said Joshua, ‘throw away the foreign gods that are among you and yield your hearts to the Lord, the God of Israel.’ ”
Today and everyday, you and I have that same choice to make – it is still of vital importance in our day and time. Jesus said clearly – “No one can serve two masters. Either he will hate the one and love the other, or he will be devoted to the one and despise the other. You cannot serve both God and Money.”
“money”, also translated “mammon” meaning wealth or the things of this world – but the reality is, if we are not serving God, we are serving ourselves and being used by satan’s demonic forces which oppose God. As this article made clear the battle is between good and evil. Only God is good –
” ‘Why do you call Me good?’ Jesus answered. ‘No one is good – except God alone.’ ”
The battle lines are clearly drawn and Ephesians 6 makes this clear – “For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms.”
Thank you for the challenge “to pray like it all depends on God” (because it does) but also to work – although I don’t feel like that depends on me – just my choice to obey – the battle is the Lord’s – Jesus is the Vine – apart from Him I can’t do anything. But Lord may You find me faithful and firm in these days, following where You lead, doing what tasks You entrust to me to do. May Your Holy Spirit take precedence, displacing the demonic spirits of evil. 15 For this reason I too, having heard of the faith in the Lord Jesus which exists among you and your love for all the saints, 16 do not cease giving thanks for you, while making mention of you in my prayers; 17 that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give you a spirit of wisdom and of revelation in the knowledge of Him. 18 I pray that the eyes of your heart may be enlightened, so that you will know what is the hope of His calling, what are the riches of the glory of His inheritance in the saints, 19 and what is the boundless greatness of His power toward us who believe. These are in accordance with the working of the strength of His might 20 which He brought about in Christ, when He raised Him from the dead and seated Him at His right hand in the heavenly places, 21 far above all rule and authority and power and dominion, and every name that is named, not only in this age but also in the one to come. 22 And He put all things in subjection under His feet, and made Him head over all things to the church, 23 which is His body, the fullness of Him who fills all in all.

This is spiritual warfare. We need watch movie again called “War Room” and learn from that experience and understand deeply spiritual strategies of God through God’s Word/Holy Scripture through Books of Minor Prophets of God.
