President Trump on an Essential Church:
“I call on governors to allow our churches and places of worship to open right now. These are places that hold our society together and keep our people united,” he said. “The people are demanding to go to church and synagogue and to their mosque.”
“The governors need to do the right thing and allow these very important, essential places of faith to open right now, for this weekend. If they don’t do it, I will override the governors,”
Governor Newsom on an Essential Church:
Places of worship are currently limited to online services and won’t reopen until phase 3, under the Governor’s plan. The DOJ calls this a violation of first amendment rights.
Months after the original stay home order, Governor Newsom said; “We’re going back into modification mode of our original stay at home order,” . . . CDPH would not directly address what punishments Californians might face if they continue to gather to observe their faith through indoor religious services.
When people were outraged about not being able to go to church: Eric S. Dreiband, the head of the Justice Department’s Civil Rights Division responded by saying;
“Simply put, there is no pandemic exception to the U.S. Constitution and its Bill of Rights,”
Neil Gorsuch on an Essential church:
“In Nevada, it seems, it is better to be in entertainment than religion. Maybe that is nothing new. But the First Amendment prohibits such obvious discrimination against the exercise of religion. The world we inhabit today, with a pandemic upon us, poses unusual challenges. But there is no world in which the Constitution permits Nevada to favor Caesars Palace over Calvary Chapel.”

So, who are all those pastors who remained silent when they should have spoken up?
Thank you LORD! It’s about time. Bless Your people and bless all others who want and need to worship! We need You in our MIDST. It’s time to re-open, with responsibility. We have a responsibility toward keeping each other safe. Help us to be mindful. But … We need to worship with each other. We can’t spread Your salvation to those in need if we are not allowed to gather to worship. Corporate prayer and work have major benefits. Help us use what we have learned for YOUR GLORY, HONOR and RESPECT. YOU are sovereign and that needs to get out on the streets. Thank you Lord for Your Glory and our benefit. Amen.
