I Prayed

On a recent First Friday Prayer Conference Call, David Kubal gave an eloquent prayer for putting on the Armor. It was similar to one in Warren Wiersbe’s book “The Strategy of Satan.”
I received a short prayer 25 years ago from the Holy Spirit that is easy to remember and print off on a size that can be carried in a billfold from a letter-sized MS Word or PDF file. I have sent it to quite a few people – (mostly Grandmothers whose Grandsons were entering the military and Chaplains).
Putting on the Armor
First the helmet of Salvation purchased with Christ’s precious blood
Then the breastplate of Righteousness woven with His love
Next the belt of Truth to keep me safe from satan’s vicious lies
And the shield of Faith from the tomb my Savior did arise
Then the shoes of peace so I may run where the faint have never trod
To carry forth my two-edged Sword the awesome Word of God

There are seven pieces to the armor of God, the seventh is prayer:
18 With (through) all prayer and petition pray at all times in the Spirit, and with this in view, be on the alert with all perseverance and petition for all the saints, 19 and pray on my behalf, that utterance may be given to me in the opening of my mouth, to make known with boldness the mystery of the gospel,, Ephesians 6:18-19 KJV
I just lifted Putting on the Armour of God, Ephesian 6, 10-17, and sent it to all on my email lists.
