Three Republican senators introduced amendments to ensure that COVID-relief funding doesn’t underwrite abortion providers or cover abortion procedures at taxpayer expense.
Both the relief bill passed by Democrats in the House and the plan proposed by President Joe Biden and Senate majority leader Chuck Schumer (D., N.Y.) include $50 million for Planned Parenthood’s slush fund, fail to add protections so that federal money doesn’t cover abortions, and allow abortion providers such as Planned Parenthood to obtain small-business relief loans through the Paycheck Protection Program.
Senator Steve Daines of Montana has introduced an amendment that applies the pro-life protections of the Hyde amendment to three pots of money covered in the bill: state- and local-government spending, foreign aid, and the provider relief fund.
Senator James Lankford of Oklahoma has offered an amendment that applies Hyde’s language to health-care funding under the relief bill’s HELP title.
Finally, Senator Roger Wicker of Mississippi has offered an amendment applies Hyde to rural-health funding under the bill’s agriculture title. . . .
Last month, Daines — who chairs the Senate’s pro-life caucus — led 47 of his Republican colleagues in the Senate in pledging to vote against any legislation that funds abortion or does not include Hyde-amendment protections. . . .
“Funding during a pandemic should save lives, not take lives. Abortion funding should not be in a COVID-19 pandemic bill, Lankford added. “This shouldn’t be controversial.”

Father, thank you for Senator Daine & Lankford who have taken the lead to protect unborn lives as the Covid relief bill is being moved through congress & those senators who are standing with them. Let your righteous cause prevail as they advance. Cover them & their families as they stand for human life. In Jesus Name Amen.
Since this pork filled bill was just passed narrowly, does anyone know yet whether these amendments were accepted as part of the bill??

Father in the name of Jesus! We pray that you would step in with divine intervention regarding this situation so that YOUR will is done here on earth as it is in heaven! Father for far too long our nation has suffered your righteous judgments due to evil laws such as legal abortion, and we can only pray that You step in now and Giveus the 5 smooth stones to overturn these giants! We thank you and we Praise you fir hearing our prayer and responding to it according to your word!
Dear Lord, I pray that any legislature that kills babies in the womb will not be passed. Give courage for those in public office, who are in agreement with my prayer, to speak out against the killing of babies in the womb: abortion!

Isn’t it time to prohibit all the “tacked on” pieces that have nothing to do with the subject of the bill? Planned parenthood funding should NOT be in COVID relief bill in my opinion. Funding for endowments should NOT be on COVID bill, etc., etc., etc.!!! Dear God we thank you that Congress people have people who go thru 1000’s of pages in one bill to see what is included. Thank you God for alerting all of us to things we need to be attentive to. Amen in Jesus’ name we pray!
I am grateful for those in legislature who still fight for the lives of these innocent children, who know how to circumvent the efforts of the left to promote death and sneak wording into these bills that have nothing to do with their intended purpose. Praying for the defeat of abortion and the dismantling of planned parenthood.
The COVID vaccine is not a vaccine it is a shot, vaccine’s have to have animal testing and the other only ones they did when exposed to the virus died 100 percent of them. That’s why the are already talking about having to give a third shot. With this shot you can still get Covid, still have to wear a mask and social distance. The side effects are harmful to deadly which goes along with their plan to control the population numbers. After 50 years in medicine I Thank the Lord for my clarity of the truth.
Heavenly Father,
I pray that more of our leaders would step up for the most vulnerable in our world and protect the life of the unborn. In Jesus name. Amen

Praise the Name of the Lord! We on the Island of Guam are encouraged by the decisions and actions of these three Republican Senators in proposing such Pro-Life amendments during the deliberations of the Covit-19 relief legislation. We have just met last week in the first-ever GOP Pro-Life Committee for our Island. We continue to pray for Judeo-Christian ethics to surface in our governanance on the local, state, and national levels.
Im thankful for the republicans who had the courage to seek alternatives to the covid 19 pandemic bill that does not include funding abortion. God bless all three and I pray for believers in Congress to continue to speak out for righteousness in our nation.
