The U.S. government has officially filed a pro-life declaration with the UN Secretary General. Joined by 34 other countries, the document enshrines the Trump administration’s pro-life diplomacy on the official record of the General Assembly.
“The United States strongly supports the dignity of all human beings and protecting life from the moment of conception throughout the lifespan,” Ambassador Kelly Craft wrote to UN Secretary General Antonio Guterres transmitting the Geneva Consensus Declaration on Promoting Women’s Health and Strengthening the Family.
Following the letter, the declaration was issued as an official document of the United Nations last week and circulated on December 11, after having been translated into all six official UN languages. . . .
While the declaration is not binding, the fact that it is now on the record of the General Assembly has legal significance. It officially documents the pro-life posture of the 34 countries who co-signed the declaration. . . .
The declaration states that “sexual and reproductive health,” a term often used by UN agencies as synonimous with abortion, “must always promote optimal health, the highest attainable standard of health, without including abortion.”
This statement of itself may not prevent future abuses by UN agencies who are likely to continue to promote abortion. But the declaration could help inhibit pro-abortion advocacy from the UN system as well as encourage UN member states who signed the declaration to hold the UN system accountable.
The Geneva Consensus Declaration was signed by 32 countries on October 22, 2020. . . .
The declaration reaffirms the “inherent dignity and worth of the human person” and that “every human being has the inherent right to life,” citing the Universal Declaration of Human Rights. . . .
The declaration even reaffirms that “the family is the natural and fundamental group unit of society and is entitled to protection by society and the State.” This is a prhase in several international human rights treaties, following the Universal Declaration of Human Rights. . . .
A Biden administration is expected to continue to oppose such statements, as the Obama administration did. Abortion groups are calling on Biden to withdraw from the declaration. But it is unclear what legal options he might have other than making more statements that run counter to U.S. obligations under international law.

The Trump Administration, in efforts led by Secretaries Pompeo and Azar, has been working on this international declaration for many, many months, as we reported in October (click here to read). Lord, We pray for our nation and for the pro-Abortion agenda. We show sympathy to animals but not to human flesh and blood. We have aborted baby’s due to inconvenience. We have taken the ten commandments and our history of judeo Christian belief out of our nations public places and schools. We have erected idol worshipping sanctuaries in our nation with the woke generation and political correctness. Lord, you have woken up from our spiritual sleep and slumber through Corona virus. We pray for a new young generation who are awoke in Christ Jesus. We pray for our churches. We are crying out to you & we are not worthy to stand in your presence without the blood of Jesus. We pray for courageous christian leaders to be appointed in POTUS and SCOTUS and in state and local level. We PRAY for a new social media and TV,News, Radio outlet that speaks the truth and not opinions. We pray for righteous movies and shows that is not promoting ungodly ideologies and families. We pray for NO MORE movies and music that is promoting ungodliness and erodes God’s family values. We pray for the new generation to be touched by the holy spirit and to act according to your will. I’m totally on board w/this declaration. What I question is that if the US is strongly supporting this bold move of anti-abortion why does the US continue to fund abortion w/in its own borders?

As I read this article earlier in the morning, I thought only 35? I was then reminded of “the loaves and fishes” which I have contemplated since. Our God does not waste anything good and despite the few number of countries having signed this declaration, I hold them up. Uplifted with the same thanks as our Savior Jesus expressed on that day when He fed thousands from a meager offering. I too ask that this number of countries be blessed and multiplied. We must not grow weary in the battles that face us, we must “be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might…For we wrestle not against flesh and blood…Grace be with all who love our Lord Jesus Christ in sincerity. Amen..”

I’m thankful for the administration that we’ve had for the past 4 yrs; a President who is pro life, pro American and our V.P. Pencewho has succeeded in defunding PP, an org. that should not be receiving tax $ from any prolife, Christian citizens who do not support that org. The prolife pregnancy ctrs. that offer free pregnancy testing and counseling, they don’t receive any gov. funds while they should.

It is an abomination that humans attack and kill the most vulnerable among both humans and animals. We are on this earth to glorify God by caring for, not abusing, all of His creation.
