After promising multiple times that he would not do so, President Joe Biden pardoned his son Hunter this past weekend.

From The Daily Wire. President Joe Biden announced on Sunday that he signed a pardon for his son, Hunter Biden, despite repeated denials that he would ever do so.

Do you want state prayer alerts?

The pardon was issued before Hunter Biden, 54, was expected to be sentenced for gun and tax evasion crimes later in December. …

“No reasonable person who looks at the facts of Hunter’s cases can reach any other conclusion than Hunter was singled out only because he is my son – and that is wrong,” President Biden said.

The elder Biden and the White House had denied on multiple occasions, dating back to last year, that the president had intended to give his son Hunter Biden a pardon. …

In June, jurors in Delaware convicted Hunter Biden on three felony counts of lying on paperwork for a revolver and owning the firearm while being a drug addict in 2018.

A couple months later, in September, Hunter Biden pleaded guilty to several federal charges related to tax crimes right before a second trial was to begin in Los Angeles. …

POLITICO’s Kyle Cheney pointed out on X that President Biden’s pardon was “sweeping” as it covered crimes Hunter “committed or may have committed” for an 11-year period dating back to 2014.

With that extensive time frame, as noted by former House investigator and journalist Jerry Dunleavy, any potential crimes related to “foreign lobbying etc. can’t be prosecuted now.” …

What do you think of President Biden’s decision? Share your thoughts and prayers below.

For a president to misuse his power to pardon his own son is absolutely a miscarriage of justice. However, let us not demonize either the soon-to-be ex-president or his son, but rather hope that God (the Father, Jesus His son and the Holy Spirit) will use this to bring them to repentance and salvation.

I think biden is and has always been a criminal. For him to act like his son was being singled out after what he and democrats have done to President Trump and to the American people who disagree with them is laughable. The democrats and the deep state are communist in their governing and have no respect for the constitution and the American people. The last 8 years they have openly shown their true feelings and so sad that so many have bought into their demonic plans. I pray that God give me the strength to resist the urge to judge them and that bring His justice to the USA. I trust in God.

I think that Joe Biden pardoned his son Hunter, so that nothing would blow back upon him regarding Hunter’s misdeeds. Plain and simple. Lord Jesus, we know, that through You, perfect justice will be served. Our trust and hope remains in you. Thank You, Jesus, may Your will prevail.

It’s a clear abuse of power and was done, in my opinion, to also cover up the entire “Biden Crime Family’s” many years of graft and corruption. While justice may not be served during their earthly lives, the Biden’s will surely see justice done at some point in the future.

Joe Biden did this to cover his own backside, as much as for Hunter. Very self-serving IMO.

President Biden has one chance to deliver his son from serious impending legal challenges. It costs him nothing to pardon him except some unfavorable press, which will be forgotten by the time he leaves office. Most Presidents would say they wouldn’t do this – but most fathers would do it.

I tried to post earlier this morning, but interestingly others have touched on most of what I wanted to say. Something no one else has mentioned, and it concerns me – is that while we are to forgive our enemies for wrongs against us – that does not mean we should not press charges and prosecute criminal acts. YHVH has tasked earthly government with that responsibility, and it is a reflection of His just and righteous character. Forgiveness does not necessarily equal pardon. Even when He forgives us of a particular sin, it doesn’t mean He lifts the appropriate consequences of that sin. Sometimes in mercy, He does, but not necessarily.
My other concern is that so many think they would do the same, if it was their son. No wonder there is a plethora of enabled and unrepentant people – and we are experiencing such an unjust society. I’ll just let Scripture speak to the issue of Godly parenting, for YHVH is the perfect parent – our Abba.
Hebrews 12:5  Also you have forgotten the counsel which speaks with you as sons: “My son, don’t despise the discipline of YHVH or become despondent when he corrects you. For YHVH disciplines those He loves and whips everyone He accepts as a son.”
Regard your endurance as discipline; God is dealing with you as sons. For what son goes undisciplined by his father? All legitimate sons undergo discipline; so if you don’t, you’re a mamzer (illegitimate) and not a son!
Furthermore, we had physical fathers who disciplined us, and we respected them; how much more should we submit to our spiritual Father and live! For they disciplined us only for a short time and only as best they could; but He disciplines us in a way that provides genuine benefit to us and enables us to share in His holiness.
Now, all discipline, while it is happening, does indeed seem painful, not enjoyable; but for those who have been trained by it, it later produces its peaceful fruit, which is righteousness.

Hunter is not a child. He was not innocently swept away by youthful ignorance. In addition to that, he is a lawyer. He surely knows what is a punishable offence . His father pardoning him makes a mockery of law in this country since it is applied so differently to the non-Hunters in society.

On September 2018 Hunter pleaded guilty so there would be no motions for discovery for the tax crimes, which would have exposed all of the Biden Crime Family members to incitement and prosecution for numerous felonies. Joe Obiden then pardons Hunter for crime he committed or may have committed dating back to 2014. Obviously this is intended to further protect Joe Obiden and his extended crime family from connections to Hunter acting as the bag man for the family selling influence to actors in Russia, Kazakhstan, Ukraine, China and elsewhere, setting up multiple money laundering LLCs, avoiding taxes and other crimes yet to be discovered. This might backfire since Hunter can no longer hide behind 5th Amendment self incrimination protection if he is called before a Grand Jury. It will be interesting to see how this plays out. Hopefully the entire crime family and others involved will be taken down and see actual justice. Let us all pray that the truth will be made know to all, that justice will be served and those involved in this criminal activity will have an epiphany, face God and truly repent.

We live in a sinful world and sadly, America can not trust our DOJ with the truth. This pardon seems as though it protects President Biden as well as Hunter’s corruption over the last 14 years. The world heard Vice President Biden on TV bragging about how he threaten Ukraine’s legal system to stop investigating or America would with-hold support. All of this is so very corrupt and Joe Biden’s family of crimes will now seemingly not be investigated and wrongfully go unpunished by our justice system. But thankfully we can cling to the fact that vengeance is the Lord’s and God, not humans, will ultimately prevail and justice will be delivered! Deuteronomy 32:35, “Vengeance is mine, I will repay, says the Lord.” Romans 12:19, “It is mine to avenge; I will repay,” says the Lord. Please pray for the Biden family to have their hearts, minds, and eyes opened to Jesus.

Last night, President Joe Biden pardoned his son Hunter Biden after repeatedly saying that he would not.
Trump-appointed Special Counsel David Weiss charged Hunter Biden on firearms and tax charges, but as former U.S. Attorney Joyce White Vance made clear in her Civil Discourse, Hunter Biden would not have been charged if he had been anyone other than the president’s son. He was charged with possession of a firearm by someone who is addicted to illegal drugs, a charge that prosecutors do not usually bring. Biden owned a gun for eleven days and apparently lied on the paperwork for it by saying he was not a drug addict when he was, in fact, in the throes of addiction.
The other charges stem from Hunter Biden’s failure, while dealing with addiction, to pay about $1.4 million in federal income taxes, which he has since paid in full plus interest and penalties. Vance explains that the government usually handles cases like his with administrative or civil penalties rather than criminal prosecution, as it did in the case of Trump henchman Roger Stone, with whom the government reached a settlement in 2022 for more than $2 million in unpaid income taxes, interest, and penalties without criminal charges.
But President Biden’s pardon covers not just those charges, but also “those offenses against the United States which he has committed or may have committed or taken part in during the period from January 1, 2014 through December 1, 2024.” The pardon’s sweeping scope offers an explanation for why Biden issued it after saying he would not.
Ron Filipkowski of MeidasTouch notes that Biden’s pardon came after Trump’s announcement that he wants to place conspiracy theorist Kash Patel at the head of the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI). Filipkowski studies right-wing media and points out that Patel’s many appearances there suggest he is obsessed with Hunter Biden, especially the story of his laptop, which Patel insists shows that Hunter and Joe Biden engaged in crimes with Ukraine and China.
House Oversight Committee chair James Comer (R-KY) spent two years investigating these allegations and turned up nothing—although Republican representative Marjorie Taylor Greene of Georgia used the opportunity to display pictures of Hunter Biden naked on national media—yet Patel insists that the Department of Justice should focus on Hunter Biden as soon as a Trump loyalist is back in charge.
Notably, Trump’s people, including former lawyer Rudy Giuliani and his ally Lev Parnas, spent more than a year trying to promote false testimony against Hunter Biden by their Ukrainian allies. Earlier this year, in the documentary “From Russia with Lev,” produced by Rachel Maddow, Parnas publicly apologized to Hunter Biden for his role in the scheme.
As legal commentator Asha Rangappa noted: “People criticizing the Hunter Biden pardon need to recognize: For the 1st time, the FBI and Justice Department could literally fabricate evidence, or collaborate with a foreign government to ‘find’ evidence of a ‘crime,’ with zero accountability. That’s why the pardon goes back to 2014.”
The above is a better explanation than the article by IFA

And yet, much of American media today has been consumed not with the story that Trump has appointed a deeply problematic candidate to run what could be considered the nation’s most important department, overseeing about 3 million personnel and managing a budget of more than $800 billion, or with the reality that Biden’s distrust of our legal system under Trump is a profound warning for all of us.
Instead, they have focused on President Biden’s pardon of his son, many of them condemning what they say is Biden’s rejection of the rule of law.
Some have suggested that Biden’s pardoning his son will now give Trump license to pardon anyone he wants, apparently forgetting that in his first term, Trump pardoned his daughter Ivanka’s father-in-law, Charles Kushner, who pleaded guilty to federal charges of tax evasion, campaign finance offenses, and witness tampering and whom Trump has now tapped to become the U.S. ambassador to France.
Trump also pardoned for various crimes men who were associated with the ties between the 2016 Trump campaign and the Russian operatives working to elect Trump. Those included his former national security advisor Michael Flynn, former campaign manager Paul Manafort, and former allies Roger Stone and Steve Bannon. Those pardons, which suggested Trump was rewarding henchmen, received a fraction of the attention lavished on Biden’s pardon of his son.
In today’s news coverage, the exercise of the presidential pardon—which traditionally gets very little attention—has entirely outweighed the dangerous nominations of an incoming president, which will have profound influence on the American people. This imbalance reflects a longstanding and classic power dynamic in which Republicans set the terms of public debate, excusing their own objectionable behavior while constantly attacking Democrats in a fiery display that attracts media attention but distorts reality.
The degree to which the media endorsed that abusive power dynamic today does not bode well for its accurate reporting during Trump’s upcoming term. It also leaves the public badly informed about matters that are important for understanding modern politics.
Among other stories that received less attention than Biden’s pardon of his son was that today right-wing activist Dinesh D’Souza publicly apologized to a man depicted in D’Souza’s film “2000 Mules.” That film claimed the 2020 presidential election was stolen, and Trump used it to push the Big Lie that he was the true winner of that election, a lie that by 2023 close to 70% of Republicans believed.
While he continued to stand by the lie, D’Souza admitted that the film’s claim that the “mules” shown delivering ballots to dropboxes had been located through geolocation of their cell data was false. Earlier this year, after a man depicted in the film sued, the publisher of the film and the book on which it was based withdrew the book and the film from its platforms and issued a sweeping apology.
On X, D’Souza’s own comment about Biden’s pardon pointedly illustrated the partisan double standard: “No one is above the law—except my son Hunter!” he wrote above a picture of Biden and his son. This prompted progressive journalist Brian Tyler Cohen to reply: “You were literally pardoned by Trump.” Cohen was right: Trump pardoned D’Souza in 2018 after his conviction for committing campaign finance violations.

You can’t say that anything I included above is false so you just say that I am lost.
All above that I wrote is 100% true, unlike most of the posts on here accusing Joe Biden of crimes. IFA says it just wants us to pray for our leaders, concerns about corruption but says nothing about the following. Sheer hypocrisy. Jane Mayer of the New Yorker reported that Trump’s choice for secretary of defense, Fox News Channel weekend host Pete Hegseth, had been forced to leave previous leadership positions at the advocacy groups Veterans for Freedom and Concerned Veterans for America because of serious allegations of “financial mismanagement, sexual impropriety, and personal misconduct.”
Under his direction, Veterans for Freedom ran up huge debt for what appears to have been inappropriate expenses; the group’s donors squeezed Hegseth out of his job and then shuttered the organization. He moved to Concerned Veterans for America.
A whistleblower for Concerned Veterans for America reported that Hegseth was repeatedly so drunk at events that he had to be carried out, and that he once tried to join dancers on stage at a strip club to which he brought his work team. Their report said that Hegseth and other members of his team divided the female staffers in the organization into “party girls” and “not party girls” and sexually pursued them, leading to allegations of sexual assault. Another complaint said that at a bar in the early hours of May 29, 2015, Hegseth began to chant drunkenly: “Kill All Muslims! Kill All Muslims!”
An email from one of the whistleblowers to Hegseth’s successor at Concerned Veterans for America said that “[a]mong the staff, the disgust for Pete was pretty high.” The letter detailed Hegseth’s “history of alcohol abuse” and said he had “treated the organization funds like they were a personal expense account—for partying, drinking, and using CVA events as little more than opportunities to ‘hook up’ with women on the road.”
By 2016, Hegseth was out at Concerned Veterans for America but had joined the Fox News Channel as a contributor. It was during this period that he appeared in October 2017 as a speaker at the California Federation of Republican Women’s convention, where he allegedly sexually assaulted a woman.

As a Christian and follower of Christ, I, as a mother, would do what Joe Biden did. Our political oppositions against each other is heart wrenching, especially if one is a Christian. Jesus taught us to forgive, love our enemies and pray for them. Look for the best and Joe’s son has been 5 years beating his addiction! It is really difficult to react the ways we were taught to react, but our goal is to love them to Christ. To forgive as we are forgiven.

It is hard for me to warm up to Biden and Harris and so many who are way off the mark…..but that has always been and when Jesus walked the earth it was pretty awful place, but with His Holy Spirit within them, they truly loved their enemies, loved the worst of worst, and actually saved many people through their ministries of Agape.

I believe the wide pardon was not only to protect Hunter from other known crimes but to also prevent the extent of Joe’s involvement of some of those crimes. I pray that even if he cannot be punished for any of those crimes the truth gets exposed showing how corrupt the Biden family truly is. And of course Joe has not been pardoned so is open for prosecution, he couldn’t pardon himself for anything without openly admitting his guilt.

When asked if he would pardon Hunter, President-elect Trump said he would likely pardon him because that is would be a loving gesture. I think Trump was making chess moves by stating that. Not at all surprised at this. The “big guy” not only got Hunter off the hook, he (thinks he) has protected the entire Biden crime syndicate. I do not believe that Hunter should have been pardoned. It looks to me like an act of co-dependence. Dad fixing things and enabling son to act poorly without consequences. On the other hand, this decision has very little impact on the nation as a whole. I fully expect that Trump will do the same for all of the January 6 folks. While I realize that some of these folks should not be behind bars, I am convinced that there are many who should be. I believe that pardoning these is apt to have far wider reaching negative impact on our nation. Paul told us to submit to government authorities at a time when Nero was Rome’s dictator. Neither civic nor religious freedoms are given a very high level of importance by Jesus or any of the NT writers.

It’s interesting that Biden has drummed up reasons of unfair treatment towards his son, but has never admitted to the severity of Trump being wrongly persecuted, along with evil plots to end his life. Any person, especially of such high ranking authority, who makes a public vow on such serious charges and then reneges on it, exhibits very little character…son or no son.

This is a good reason that presidential pardons should not apply to family members. With what the president has pardoned Hunter for and the length of time it covers you know he is guilty of the crimes he was prosecuted for and many others that just hasn’t turned up yet. Also, President Biden is involve in alot of them. Pardoning Hunter stops all investagating so show how the president was involved will not show up. Both of them are as guilty as hell and need to be sent to prison. PERIOD

it is unrighteous. It would one thing if Hunter was tried and found guilty, but this has not had time to happen. The thing about court cases (hopefully) is that additional things are divulged. It is unrighteous to say ahead of time that Hunter is innocent, when we do not know fully as yet.

All have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God. Hunter Biden is no exception. However his sins have been made public. His father’s pardon is only temporary. What Hunter needs is the pardon that Jesus Christ came to give as He died for the sins of the world. Praise the Lamb of God Who takes away our sins when we confess them to our Heavenly Father in Jesus Name. Accepting Jesus gift of salvation is then given and we have a full, eternal pardon that only God the Father through our LORD JESUS CHRIST CAN GIVE. With His pardon comes the power to repent and live a life worthy of the calling to become God’s Child obeying our Holy Holy Holy Father, Son and Holy Spirit through His indwelling Holy Spirit! I pray Hunter will repent and receive God’s eternal gift of life in heaven where there is no sin! Praise God from Whom all blessings flow of repentance and salvation! Where sins abound, God’s grace abounds more!!!

Pardon for criminal acts on earth, is a totally separate and different issue from pardon received from YHVH for our sin. The cheap pardon which Hunter Biden has been granted wasn’t bought and paid for – it was just a “get out of jail free” card for which no one paid. And it was an unjust act. The pardon that is offered as a result of repentance for our sin, was bought and paid for with the precious, atoning blood of Yeshua – it cost Him far more than we can ever comprehend. And because of His willingness to be the substitute sacrifice in our place – it was a just act. When people don’t suffer as a consequence of their sin here on earth, they often don’t consider the serious nature of the eternal consequences of their sin.

I believe that President Biden lied to us and had his staff lie to us about Hunter Biden. However, Hunter’s pardon could be used to try Joe Biden for crimes he committed while vice president and after. Since Hunter now has complete immunity, the DOJ should be able to compel him to testify about any illegal activity he is aware of and put him in jail for contempt of court. This may get more people punished than if he did not get pardoned.

However I don’t see as how the IRS Taxes owed whether deemed legal income or illegal income can be absolved/forgiven-it’s not in the tax code to do so !!! If you remember the Feds / IRS put Al Capone in prison for not paying his taxes on illegal monies received! Joe Biden is a career liar. This just another example.
The sooner the White House is free of his influence the better.

There are many people in Michigan and across this country who have been falsely accused and wrongfully convicted due to the “no evidence needed” civil law. In Hunter Biden’s case there was plenty of evidence. I pray that our new administration will put an end to all the unconstitutional law. Please push your legislators to address the prosecutorial misconduct and abuse of power from the top down to the states. Laws must be changed! God knows!

I need to detach my emotions from news of all the double standards, lies, corruptions. None of this is surprise. I have to trust God will respond to “these people” in whatever way is right & His will. My only consolation is what Revelation describes in multiple chapters as His wrsth being poured out on the evil doers.

Heavenly Father, we pray that you will continue to expose the evil corruption in our government, that justice will be served, that your will and purposes be carried out. Please give perseverance and protection to those you are putting in place to clean it up. Let us persevere in prayer for them. Thank you, Lord, that righteousness and truth are the foundation of your throne. In the precious name of Jesus, we pray. 🙏🏼

Hunter will once again commit a crime, but the next time he want have his father to bail him out. Without salvation, Hunter is doomed to continue on his self-destruction path.

This just proves his unwillingness to be found out for anything. He thinks he’s above the law. And his family. There are other things that could have been found that hunter did. He for sure needs praying for

Pretty typical for those in politics. Hillary got by and now Hunter and the clan. Sad to think that in US this can happen, but just shows that there is no fairness in politics.

I expected no less from a man who believes his lies are reality and the people of the country should condone the lies. The whole family needs the salvation of God. God’s mercy has saved us from evil this time and it’s now time for the church to repent be grateful and lead national revival. I pray for Trump’s wisdom, knowledge to be God focused and if he does not know Jesus as Lord that he receive Him.

Since proof exists that the 2020 election was fraudulently stolen, the Biden administration was a fake from the beginning. Shouldn’t that fact be enough to declare all executive orders, declarations, etc., made by this phony administration null & void,?

I’ve been thinking the same thing. It also goes for Obama. And we would have the same problem if Harris had won. She didn’t meet the legal requirement to be president according to the law, but nobody bothers to look at the law anymore. All the garbage we’ve been going through with these illegitimate leaders shows that they have an underlying agenda to destroy this country. Shame on us for not discerning between good and bad, and for not asking God to give us discernment.

. I agree. ” Shame on those who lack discernment. Other side of coin, I am praising Triune God in Jesus’Holy Name the election proved many, many Americans had been awakened, turn back to Triiune God’s truth, and went to the polls and voted out of office those
who wanted to destroy America. Praise, honor, glory to our Triune God by power of Holy Spirit
to deliver America from Powers of darkness. Help us Jesus to be ever vigilant, and seek Gods will for His glory!!
      Spirit to
Triune God desires we pray for our enemies as He would have all saved for His glorious eterenal Kingdom. It is really hard for me to pray for those who have done such evil things, but I must ask
Holy Spirit to help me pray for them to come to saving knowledge of Jesus Christ as their Savior.
      God bless all Intercessors!!

Except no such evidence exists and it is shameful that Christians have such a low standard for evaluating truth. Lawyers have faced consequences, Giuliani was disbarred for trying to push this agenda. Truth is established by God, it is not what I wish for, hope for, not what I believe because people I support tell me. I am not God, I have to accept the truth as it exists, not create some reality that I want to believe. I have to allow God to reveal truth, not simply assert that what I wish or hope for is truthful.

I believe Biden thought that he, himself, would remain in office and control the legal process for his son, so a pardon wouldn’t be necessary. His promises on this were always hollow. Digging into Hunter’s past crimes would also expose the whole Biden family, so there is no way that could be allowed from their point of view. I doubt anyone has the appetite to go legally after Biden. I pray that the Lord would continue to shine His light in those very dark places and that the Bidens would throw themselves on the mercy of the only court that truly matters.

Hunter should have been treated like anyone else who have committed the same crime and he was not, he is set free with nothing on his record. He got a slap on the hand, money talks.

1 Sam 2:12 is the written example of what we are seeing today with this corruption and that is exactly what it is. A corrupt liar of a father, who, by admissions written by his own daughter, may very well have abused his children, and lead them into corruption. Joe Biden’s own words during an interview with Oprah was, “Don’t assume I am not corrupt.” I will not pray for this to be an awakening of ‘tender mercies.’ Christ Himself drove out corruption from the temple with whips, are we any better than Him? Can God show mercy to corrupt people such as this? Certainly, He is sovereign and will have mercy on whom He will have mercy it is His right alone. But corruption, like cancer, spreads when it is untouched, unmitigated, untreated, or goes without excision. What was shown was NOT mercy, it was corruption, a la 1 Sam 2:12 regarding Eli’s sons – this situation is clearly no different. This is NOT God’s mercy, I am convinced of that, this is just more lawlessness from lawless corrupt mean towards their “wicked sons.”

Psalm 103:13-“As a father has compassion on his children, so the Lord has compassion on those who fear him.” When I saw this tender picture of a father and a son I was reminded of God‘s tender mercy to his children. Let’s just pray for President Biden, and Hunter that this tender mercy would be reflected of God‘s mercy he extends to them.

Yes, God is merciful, but even in King David’s sin their were consequences, The death of his son. Even with much fasting, weeping did not change God’s heart for the payment of his sin. I pray for President and his sons salvation and confession of the sin they have all committed before God and to a country for the sake of power and money. How short sighted! May they come into a PURE AND HONEST RELATIONSHIP WITH THE LIVING GOD and prepare for there future with HIM .

I think the reference to having compassion on your children is a real stretch in this case. I feel sure God is not talking about pardoning your 50+ year old adult children from crimes against their country. And the reality here is the ten plus year pardon is not only for his son but trying to protect the whole Biden family. There is so much corruption there. And mercy is available but we need to hear some admission of wrong doing.
