President Trump has limited Elon Musk’s power, instructing him to work with department heads in shrinking the federal workforce.
From The New York Post. President Trump revealed plans for cabinet secretaries and other high-level administration officials to hold more sway in the Department of Government Efficiency’s push for personnel cuts.

Cabinet officials will meet with DOGE every two weeks until the administration has wrapped up its efforts to revamp the federal workforce, Trump announced, while lauding special government employee Elon Musk’s efforts as “an incredible success.”
“Now that we have my cabinet in place, I have instructed the Secretaries and Leadership to work with DOGE on Cost Cutting measures and Staffing,” Trump announced on Truth Social.
“As the Secretaries learn about and understand the people working for the various Departments, they can be very precise as to who will remain and who will go. “ …
“We say the ‘scalpel’ rather than the ‘hatchet,’” Trump emphasized in his post. “The combination of them, Elon, DOGE, and other great people will be able to do things at a historic level.”
Trump’s announcement comes on the heels of a closed-door meeting that most cabinet secretaries attended with Musk.
“It was a very positive one,” Trump said of the meeting. “It’s very important that we cut levels down to where they should be, but it’s also important to keep the best and most productive people.” …
Musk later followed up on X and hailed it as a “very productive meeting,” downplaying the fact that the president had seemingly limited his powers. Trump later reiterated to reporters that DOGE has “done an amazing job.”
“I want the cabinet members to keep good people. I don’t want to see a big cut where a lot of good people are cut,” he reiterated to White House reporters on Thursday.
“I want the cabinet members go first, keep all the people you want, everybody that you need,” he added. “I want them to do the best job they can where we have good people, those that’s precious.”

I pray for the salvation of Elon Musk’s soul, the renewal of his family & personal life, and the restoration of all his fortunes.
Even when the world scoffs at and rejects him, unappreciative of all the good he is doing — LORD, please remind Elon of YOUR validation, YOUR unconditional love for him, and YOUR anointing and power that no man can take away.
Surround him with true friends. And believers who will encourage him with Your Word.

Heavenly Father, thank You for the tireless work done by DOGE with Elon Musk at the head. This was not his mess to clean up. The complete lack of oversight by many years of bureaucrats does not fall on him. He stepped in and exposed the abuse Why were so many willing to look the other way on taxpayer funded misuse? Real leadership must be in place in order for our deficit to be reduced, that is the hard truth of it. Employment is “at will” by both the employee and employer. Let innovative, efficient, trustworthy employees and managers move forward in and through this. There should be proof within each department that funds and administration of duties is being appropriately managed and executed. Thank You Lord for exposing the egregious misuse of taxpayer funded monies both locally and abroad. Let sound judgment and wisdom now become the only standard. In Jesus’ mighty name. Amen.

We know this is necessary, but we pray for YOUR guidance, wisdom and direction. Be with the ones making decisions and with those who lose positions. Help us Father to move with WISDOM and help those who need Your love and peace.

Praise the Lord! He has heard our prayers! This is the approach that should have been taken from the beginning, so many lives destroyed because a “hachet” was used instead of precision decisions. Sadly, I believe that the handling of this has hurt Trump tremendously with many voters. May we pray that wise decisions ground in actual facts and knowledge of the jobs & personnel will be made. May we also pray for the workers that have been let go, will be let go and those who remain employed to find peace amongst the chaos that has happened and that all will find employment that will support their families.
I think all of us in every line of work need to seek God’s will for our economic priorities and outlooks in these last days.
That our labors and time be aligned with the true purposes for our lives that God has placed in our hearts.
That we measure ourselves, not by short term pragmatic concerns, but by how we serve the greater good of the Kingdom.
That as we seek first the Kingdom, we can entrust all our financial burdens to the LORD’s provision. In Jesus’ name.
