By a mostly party-line vote, the U.S. Senate on Wednesday rejected the Democrats’ attempt to impeach President Donald Trump, putting to rest the inquiry and trial that has dogged his administration the past few months. The number of guilty votes on both articles of impeachment fell far below the 67-vote threshold for removal from office. Forty-eight senators voted to convict the president of the charge in the first article, abuse of power. The second article, obstruction of Congress, garnered only 47 votes. . . .
The Trump campaign said the acquittal means the president is “totally vindicated.” “This impeachment hoax will go down as the worst miscalculation in American political history,” said Brad Parscale, Trump’s campaign manager. But Democrats might not be finished in their investigation into the president’s dealings with Ukraine. CNN reported Wednesday that House Judiciary Committee Chairman Jerrold Nadler, D-N.Y., said he likely will subpoena former national security adviser John Bolton. Bolton recently went public with allegations that Trump told him he wanted to withhold military aid to Ukraine until the country agreed to announce corruption investigations against Democrats, including former Vice President Joe Biden’s family.

I am praising God for showing certain people in congress you can not lie and get away with I have always backed President Trump I got a loan when he first ran for the Presidency now that is depleeted I am probably the poorest conservitive here , but I tell you why and do not feel sorry for me my wife and I are disabled do not ask me why the medicaid because she was 2 points shy of getting her medicare benifits but i believe they gave her money to an illigal who did not give in to medicare she worked hard all of her life and all she gets is $199 a month but every year she gets a raise of up to $215 then they knock her back down to$199 in medicaid , I am a Vetran and for many years I tried to push my claim for major depression through the VA but they say it has been to long but I was doing this since 1979 right after I got out but now I am totally disabled and only draw 998 dollars a month i never got a hearing before the board they tore up my paper work or conviently lost it any o how I ran out of money to help support our President but I am paying for the loan to my Son it also went to pay taxes on our house my father left me when he died no one in the family helps us pay these taxas but my son we have to get a lone of 1600 dollars a year to do this but if i had it i would help support our Presidentfor the next term but as you can see we live way below poverty line and try our best to do what we can and now the Doctor at the VA does not even order my hydro and morphine even though i order on time he has done this several times i belief he does it because of the new law but I have degenerative bone desease hurts every day and my nerves system is all messed up. But I praies God He gave this country a second chance to turn back to Him and rededicate this country unto Him Yeshua our Messiah Again through the Presidentlet us never forget God made this country for us to have religious freedom, free speech and a right to live our lives in peace always put God first in everything . I ask you to pass this on to the President He has asked me why I can not help support him as before this is why but Like I said I am broke can not keep on giving May the Grace of God surround us all because I would fight to my last breath to keep us free here in the USA Amen.
I am SO in agreement with the prayers for Trump and all our leaders! And thank you for the reminder to pray for our enemies. It is so easy to rail against them, but that certainly isn’t what we are called to do as the children, ambassadors, and army of God is it! Lord, I do pray for continued protection, wisdom and peace for President Trump and his family and co-workers–and for Your mighty hand to reach out and open the eyes and hearts of his opponents. May they find You, align themselves with You, and learn to work respectfully together to build our wonderful country into the light on a hill that You would have us be!

While I love the fact our President was acquitted I keep hearing the scripture in my head in Micah 6:8 that says; He has shown you, O Man what is good. And what does the LORD require of you? To act justly and to love mercy and to walk humbly with your God.

After Reagan’s term in office, their was a divergence from a Jesus centered Theocracy to a man centered official government approved religion called Humanism, followed by a further divaricating into the religion of Atheism, Socialism, homosexuaIism, and even Mid Eastern religion. However Jesus being the foundation of our “Constitutional Republic” & even the “Federalist Papers,” we must return to our original theocracy, where the government/state is divided from the 1st Amendment power of the church [the real Thomas Jefferson of division of Church & State]. A return to a government centered in the creator of the universe, which is Jesus, the highest form of governing in the world [far above all others], which made America the number one economy on the earth, that is until the religion of Humanism eclipsed it, and we began the downward cycle of entropy, fast becoming 3rd world county. Now we have an apostle in the white house and a hope [a spiritual excitement and expectation greatness again] of returning to Jesus as a nation.

Lord, I thank You for what You have done regarding the acquittal of Pres. Trump. I ask that Pres. Trump would recognize that YOU are the One that vindicated him. That he would give you the Glory and Honor that is due YOU! I pray that this will be a revelation to him and then he will FULLY trust YOU with his life and in the way he honors You in the office as the President of our Great Nation!

I agree with Mr. Unger. I also pray for healing on the men who stood strong with our President. I pray for healing of the heart and mind. I bind all anger and resentment from getting into their hearts. I pray that they do not participate in retaliation in any way. I pray that justice be done on the side of the people who tried to persecute what I see as the man that God has chosen. I pray a hedge of protection around them. I pray that their hearts stay compassionate and caring. I pray healing for the heart of the President and his family. Lord comfort them as they recover from this tragedy that never should have happened. Give them strength to stand in their time of need, stand in your strength and not their own. Lord please let justice be done in this. Help them to not harbor anger and hate, but wisdom and strength that only your can give. I disagree with some of what you say here. I believe God does take sides! He takes the right side. The side of His Word! He is not for those who do evil in his sight and he will defend, protect, honor and deliver those who do what he says. I will not be deceived.
I believe that the Impeachment should be expunged from the President’s record. I pray for the House and Senate to once again return to Republicans so that this never happens again. I pray that illegals and dead people no longer can have their ballots counted and that any manipulation of voting machines, software, and unlawful ballots and misreporting of tallys be exposed and the true results prevail in every primary, caucus and election from now on.
