I Prayed have prayed

Tomorrow on May 3, we celebrate the National Day of Prayer. Consider this perspective and prayer from Germaine Copeland in her new book, Prayers That Avail Much for America.

“Somewhere along the way, due to compromise and prayerlessness, the American Church digressed into a powerless position. As a result, reverence for God was exchanged for political correctness and the tolerance of sin. Our nation now reflects the political, economic, and cultural deterioration from that spiritual decline. But a revolution has begun. Believers are rising up who agree that this state of affairs will not be tolerated any longer. Across all denominational, ethnic, and socioeconomic line, believers are banding together to pray in agreement with the Word of God for a spiritual awakening in our land.”

“Are you expecting the works of God to be displayed in our nation? Then take your place now in prayer; for it is prayer that will produce the spiritual awakening our nation so desperately needs. God is moving and America will be saved if God’s people who are called by His name will seek first His righteousness and pray in the Light of His Word. Jesus said, “I tell you for certain that if you have faith in me, you will do the same things that I am doing. You will do even greater things, now that I am going back to the Father. Ask me, and I will do whatever you ask. This way the Son will bring honor to the Father” (John 14:11-13 CEV).”

Father, in the name of Jesus, thank You for the United States of America that You ordained for Your purposes. We renounce all forms of globalism, freemasonry, and the occult in the name of Jesus and declare the Lordship of Jesus over our nation. We choose to arise and shine for the Light has come and the darkness is exposed. Jesus has been given all authority in heaven and on earth, and He will be with us here in America even until the end of the world.

Thank You for calling and anointing men and women to be Your representatives in the land and around the world. Father, we earnestly pray for leaders who will maintain the intent and purposes of our founding fathers and who will uphold the Constitution as it was written so freedom might continue—not the freedom to violate divine laws but the freedom to do what’s right. Without a vision this nation will perish. Grant unto Your representatives a boldness to speak truth on behalf of the people. We ask for wise counselors, public servants, military attachés, cultural attachés, and diplomats for every manner of work in our government and around the world.

Thank You that our nation is a republic, one nation under God, and that we have more than enough to meet every situation and everything we need to carry out Your great commission. Thank You for hearing our prayer.

Until Christians stop rejecting the Bible’s unchanging triune moral law (the Ten Commandments and their respective statutes and judgments) as society’s standard, their prayers are little more than window dressing, no different than the Ten Commandment monuments that adorn state and court houses that inside legislate and adjudicate contrary to those same Commandments.

“He that turneth away his ear from hearing the law, even his prayer shall be abomination.” (Proverbs 28:9)

“Not everyone who says to Me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter the kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of My Father who is in heaven will enter. Many will say to Me on that day, ‘Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in Your name, and in Your name cast out demons, and in Your name perform many [a]miracles?’ And then I will declare to them, ‘I never knew you; depart from Me, you who practice lawlessness.’” (Matthew 7:21-23)

*What makes government secular is its rejection Of Yahweh as it’s Sovereign and thus His law as supreme.
