I Prayed have prayed
Reading Time: 2 minutes

Tomorrow on May 3, we celebrate the National Day of Prayer. Consider this perspective and prayer from Germaine Copeland in her new book, Prayers That Avail Much for America.Ā

“Somewhere along the way, due to compromise andĀ prayerlessness, the American Church digressed into aĀ powerless position. As a result, reverence for God wasĀ exchanged for political correctness and the tolerance ofĀ sin. Our nation now reflects the political, economic, andĀ cultural deterioration from that spiritual decline.Ā But a revolution has begun. Believers are rising upĀ who agree that this state of affairs will not be toleratedĀ any longer. Across all denominational, ethnic, and socioeconomicĀ line, believers are banding together to pray inĀ agreement with the Word of God for a spiritual awakeningĀ in our land.”

“Are you expecting theĀ works of God to be displayed in our nation? Then takeĀ your place now in prayer; for it is prayer that will produceĀ the spiritual awakening our nation so desperately needs.Ā God is moving and America will be saved if Godā€™sĀ people who are called by His name will seek first His righteousnessĀ and pray in the Light of His Word. Jesus said, ā€œIĀ tell you for certain that if you have faith in me, you will doĀ the same things that I am doing. You will do even greaterĀ things, now that I am going back to the Father. Ask me,Ā and I will do whatever you ask. This way the Son willĀ bring honor to the Fatherā€ (John 14:11-13 CEV).”

Father, in the name of Jesus, thank You for theĀ United States of America that You ordained forĀ Your purposes. We renounce all forms of globalism,Ā freemasonry, and the occult in the name ofĀ Jesus and declare the Lordship of Jesus over ourĀ nation. We choose to arise and shine for the LightĀ has come and the darkness is exposed. Jesus hasĀ been given all authority in heaven and on earth,Ā and He will be with us here in America even untilĀ the end of the world.

Thank You for calling andĀ anointing men and women to be Your representativesĀ in the land and around the world. Father,Ā we earnestly pray for leaders who will maintainĀ the intent and purposes of our founding fathersĀ and who will uphold the Constitution as it wasĀ written so freedom might continueā€”not theĀ freedom to violate divine laws but the freedomĀ to do whatā€™s right. Without a vision this nationĀ will perish. Grant unto Your representatives aĀ boldness to speak truth on behalf of the people.Ā We ask for wise counselors, public servants, militaryĀ attachĆ©s, cultural attachĆ©s, and diplomatsĀ for every manner of work in our government andĀ around the world.

Thank You that our nation isĀ a republic, one nation under God, and that weĀ have more than enough to meet every situationĀ and everything we need to carry out Your greatĀ commission. Thank You for hearing our prayer.

Until Christians stop rejecting the Bible’s unchanging triune moral law (the Ten Commandments and their respective statutes and judgments) as society’s standard, their prayers are little more than window dressing, no different than the Ten Commandment monuments that adorn state and court houses that inside legislate and adjudicate contrary to those same Commandments.

“He that turneth away his ear from hearing the law, even his prayer shall be abomination.” (Proverbs 28:9)

“Not everyone who says to Me, ā€˜Lord, Lord,ā€™ will enter the kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of My Father who is in heaven will enter. Many will say to Me on that day, ā€˜Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in Your name, and in Your name cast out demons, and in Your name perform many [a]miracles?ā€™ And then I will declare to them, ā€˜I never knew you; depart from Me, you who practice lawlessness.ā€™” (Matthew 7:21-23)

*What makes government secular is its rejection Of Yahweh as it’s Sovereign and thus His law as supreme.
