PRAYING FOR DISCERNMENT

In these days of confusion and turmoil, we must seek to discern things by the Spirit and not by the flesh. As believers, we have been given the mind of Christ (1 Corinthians 2:16), the heart of the Father (1 John 3:1), and the gifts of the Holy Spirit (1 Corinthians 12:1-11) in order to know Truth. Here are some scriptural keys in knowing how to rightly discern between that which is of the Holy Spirit and that which is not. May our prayers reflect the full counsel of heaven and God’s eternal purposes.
Keys to spiritual discernment:
Walk in love. And this I pray, that your love may abound still more and more in real knowledge and all discernment, so that you may approve the things that are excellent, in order to be sincere and blameless until the day of Christ. (Philippians 1:9-10)
Know the fear of the Lord. And He will delight in the fear of the LORD, and He will not judge by what His eyes see, nor make a decision by what His ears hear. (Isaiah 11:3)
Know God’s Word. Teach me good discernment and knowledge, for I believe in Your commandments. (Psalm 119:6)
Distinguish the underlying spirit. This is what the Sovereign LORD says: Woe to the foolish prophets who follow their own spirit and have seen nothing! …Their visions are false and their divinations a lie. They say, “The LORD declares,” when the LORD has not sent them; yet they expect their words to be fulfilled. (Ezekiel 13:3-7)
Live by a higher standard. And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, so that you may prove what the will of God is, that which is good and acceptable and perfect. (Romans 12:2)
Recognize the trap of man-made ideas. See to it that no one takes you captive through hollow and deceptive philosophy, which depends on human tradition and the basic principles of this world rather than on Christ. (Colossians 2:8)
Learn from practice. But solid food is for the mature, for those who have their powers of discernment trained by constant practice to distinguish good from evil. (Hebrews 5:14)
Yield any personal agenda. But the wisdom from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, open to reason, full of mercy and good fruits, impartial and sincere. (James 3:17)
Pray in the Spirit. We have not received the spirit of the world but the Spirit who is from God, that we may understand what God has freely given us. This is what we speak, not in words taught us by human wisdom but in words taught by the Spirit, expressing spiritual truths in spiritual words. The man without the Spirit does not accept the things that come from the Spirit of God, for they are foolishness to him, and he cannot understand them, because they are spiritually discerned. (1 Corinthians 2:12-14)

Our president should probably read more into the word of God. Lead by his word.
I will be sending prayers his way so God can put Love into his heart and take all the hate he has in his heart away. a Leader should lead by Love and GOD. Not HATE and fear. I will pray that GOD stands by his side and forgives him for all sins. GOD BLESS AMERICA.

Unless Holy Sprit open the spiritual eyes of the churches. They can’t discern right from wrong. Today there is a spiritual blindness in the churches. Therefore we have to pray for the churches and for our leaders. Now a days the sprit of division is working in our nation, we can rebuke the sprit of division from the senate from the Republican and from democrat. We have to pray for the unity of our nation in the name of Jesus.

God bless you Mr. President there are more of us who love you then speak lies and give out fake news. We may not have loud voices like the media but we are enraged with them for their cowardice and hiding behind words. God is on our side, which is the winning side.

President Trump, et. al. are constantly bombarded with negative, “fake” news, false ideologies that I think it is extremely important that we send him, VP Pence, and members of Congress, the ideas, ideals and Scriptures in the above article to constantly uplift, encourage, uphold, pray for, and combat the negative forces TOO prevalent in today’s society.
