I Prayed have prayed
Father, we ask You to bless this intercessor's outreach to NYFD. Bring NYC first responders into relationship with Jesus Christ. Show us how to help those around us suffering from trauma.

Please read this comment shared by an intercessor whose husband is a New York City firefighter who survived 9/11 but lost many friends and coworkers. She shared her thoughts in response to the IFA post Prophetic Word For September: What Is God Saying To Intercessors? She details the impact that 9/11 had and still has, 20 years later, on New York firefighters.

As the wife of a retired FDNY Firefighter still living in NYC, I too feel an ominous heaviness concerning September 11th. We will be attending a memorial mass in downtown Brooklyn for his firehouse families. They lost seven men that day and my husband personally knew and worked with half of the 343 firefighters who died that day, let alone the many more who have died since then due to 9/11 related illnesses. This is a largely unreached group.

They have for the most part been closed to full surrender to the Lord or relationship with Him. They have been overrun by false healing- as directly following 9/11 the City of NY allowed occult practioners into firehouses with transcendental meditation, reiki, acupressure…Many are still ensnared, confused, fearful, angry, self medicating with alcohol, isolation, and mammon.

Please pray for a powerful anointing for preaching accompanied by signs and power. They are hungry and lost, broken yet fearful of surrendering to the Lord. My husband is part of a FDNY retiree group of over 50 men on Staten Island. Only one has recently given his life to the Lord, and he is moving out of here to Florida. The fields are ripe for the harvest. Pray that the Lord of the harvest send laborers into the vineyard.

Please pray for me as I go forth to minister to these families as the Lord opens the way. These families do look up to me as a “spiritual person” as I’ve sung for many of these memorials then and over the years. Pray that my husband would surrender to the Lord as well. How I long for spiritual unity in my marriage and home.

Also I would ask for prayer as my friends and I have been ministering on the boardwalk in Staten Island, in worship, preaching and praying. We began at the beginning of the lockdown and are still out there on Sunday mornings. Please pray that we be protected and hidden from any who would try to interfere or prevent what the Lord is doing there. Thank you so much! – Carolann

Please share your comments and prayers on the anniversary of 9/11.

O God, the wall of hardness that these men have built around themselves in order to emotionally survive….I thank you that Your Word is “like a hammer that breaks the rock in pieces” (Jer 23:29).
We praise You for opening the eyes of their hearts to see Jesus. We praise You for “delivering them from the power of darkness,
and bringing them into the kingdom of Your dear Son; in whom they have redemption through THE BLOOD OF JESUS.”(Col.1:14)

We know we have the answer to our petitions, because we have asked this according to Your will, in the Name of Jesus ! Amen !

Thank you for sharing, so we can agree with you. We agree for Believers to move in the power of the Holy Spirit, imparting the love of God, performing signs and wonders, demonstrating the goodness of the one true living God. We ask for dreams, visions and radical conversions among firefighters and the people of New York City. Redeem, O Lord, all that the enemy has meant for evil. Thank you for the Believers called to New York City.

The Lord bless you for the work you are doing.
My heart goes out to you and to these brave men.
Firefighters are brave. They pride themselves on
this fact and rightly so. We are all indebted to
them. They are also smart and capable and have a
standard of conduct that is seldom replicated by
any other group of people. It is a privilege to
pray for these men. You do not need to fear that
you will not be effective in reaching these men.
God has invested in you the very things that it
will take to do this job. In regard to the vile
actions that were taken to instill false ideology
of satanic origin into the lives of these men, you
have authority in the name of Jesus to overcome that!
I stand in agreement with you in this regard and will
be lifting you up to the Lord as you go into these
fields of ripe harvest. What a blessing that is for
someone to be able to do for the Lord. I know from
personal experience that when we do the will of the Lord,
He takes care of those desires of our hearts that we can’t
even express to anyone else. Be bold to confess Jesus as Lord!
I will be delighted to keep you in prayer. In Jesus Name, Amen.

Father – we lift up our dear sister in Christ and thank you for the heart of ministering that you have given her! Lord, continue to fill her with your Holy Spirit power, give her strength when she is weary, give her vision to see her work for you is never in vain. Give her wisdom as she deals with people and discernment on how to reach them. Keep her close to you Lord, fill her hearts desire for her husband. Rise up more of us to reach out to people who are in such desperate need for you. We love you Lord and are so thankful for the encouragement this woman is in reaching others for Christ!
