I felt led today to invite you to pray with me for the safety of our military bases. In recent days, we have seen multiple incidents of terrorist attacks against U.S. military bases. Even when the attack was performed by a lone shooter, lives have been lost. If the Enemy has any repeat performances planned, I believe the Lord will use our prayers to avert disaster and keep those wicked plans from coming to fruition.

Without further ado, would you join me in praying for the safety of our American military bases today?

Let’s pray as follows:

Dear Heavenly Father, we come to You in Jesus’ name.

You are the Lord of hosts — the God of angel armies. You are the Commander of the hosts of Heaven, and Your forces are indomitable. Nothing can harm You or destroy Your army. Thank You; we praise You for that.

Lord, because You are the original military genius and strategist, You know how important safety and security are for our troops. You desire to keep them safe, for Your word says that no evil will befall those who dwell in You, nor shall any plague come near their dwelling. Thank You.

Father, we first ask that our troops would meet the conditions You have laid out in Psalm 91:

• that they would dwell in the secret place of the Most High;
• that they would abide under the shadow of the Almighty, accepting Jesus Christ as their personal Savior, one and all;
• and that they would say of You that You are their refuge and fortress; their God, in Whom they trust.

But Father, even if they do not yet know You, we ask also that You would hear our prayers and cries of intercession on their behalf, and that You would afford them these protections for our sakes.

In the mighty name of Jesus, we ask today that You would put up a hedge of protection around every American military base at home and abroad.

• Do not allow any evil thing to approach our bases.
• If anyone has evil intentions on base — or even approaching the base — then expose and reveal the dark plots.
• Avert and destroy every trick, plot, plan, and conspiracy of the Enemy.
• Sharpen the senses of every U.S. soldier, sailor, and airman.
• Give every military person Your gift of discernment of spirits, so that they can smell it if any demons or other evil things come against them — long before the attack even tries to manifest.
• If someone has seen or heard something suspicious that needs to be reported, put it in their spirit to report it to the powers that be — and give them no peace until they do.
• Give base commanders and leaders the wisdom for what to do and how to act upon every potential threat.
• Make a way for every right-acting U.S. military person to have appropriate weapons and armament when they need it, even on base, in order to defend themselves if needed.
• Give security personnel extreme wisdom for what to notice and what not to care about. Highlight in their vision, in their senses, and in their spirit anything that could bring harm to our military bases or personnel.
• If defense becomes necessary, help every military person to defend himself or herself appropriately.
• Let there be no lives lost or even any injuries sustained by our troops who are loyal to America.

Father, if any person on a U.S. military base is compromised towards the Enemy — whether towards an enemy nation or towards our enemy Satan — then expose that and bring them to justice.

Let Your justice be swift and Your actions sure. Work through the justice system if You need to, but work supernaturally through Your angel armies and Your own mighty hand as well.

Father, we call on You as the God of angel armies, and we pray:

• that You would encamp around those who fear You, and deliver them;
• that because we fear You, You would encamp around our military bases, even if only for our sakes;
• that You send angels to watch over every base. Let them link arms around each base and allow no evil to pass through;
• and let Your angels do warfare on our behalf, fighting for us and defending us in Your strength and in the power of Your might.

Abba Father, no matter who plots evil against the U.S. and our military, we thank You that “those who are with us are more than those who are with them” (2 Kings 6:16 NKJV). We thank You that Your horses and chariots of fire are all around us. And we thank You that Your mercy and protection are upon us and upon our military in response to our prayers.

Thank You, Father. Thank You, Lord Jesus and blessed Holy Spirit. We love You, and we give You all the praise. In Jesus’ mighty and precious name we pray, amen.
