On August 24, 1991, Ukraine became a free and independent nation. Now, 34 years later, believers around the world are gathering to pray for the nation’s freedom once again.

This Sunday, on August 24, Global Prayer for Ukraine is inviting believers, pastors, and churches around the world to join in a “global prayer chain for Ukraine.” As this nation struggles under Russian oppression, the organizers of this initiative, endorsed by the President of Ukraine, Intercessors for Ukraine, and IFA, are recognizing that “prayer has the power to change hearts, destinies, and even the course of history.” As the website says, “when we kneel together, God raises His mighty hand!
But what exactly is a prayer chain? Much like IFA’s Prayer Wall, Global Prayer for Ukraine is asking churches or organizations to pick a 15-minute time slot on Sunday, so that all 24 hours might be saturated in prayer. Dozens of groups from the U.S., Europe, and Africa have already volunteered. And, if you’d like to sign your church up, you can do so by clicking here.
You can also visit the website at prayforukraine.org.ua, which features information about the war and details the need for prayer. The website also includes seven prayer points designed to help guide your intercession. We’ve included these prayer points below:
- Pray for a just and lasting peace—that God would stop the war and that light would overcome darkness.
- Pray for the protection of Christians in the occupied territories and for all those who minister under persecution.
- Pray for the return of abducted children and healing for wounded families.
- Pray for comfort for those who have lost loved ones and for emotional and spiritual restoration.
- Pray for the protection and defense of Ukrainian cities, villages, and people from bombing.
- Pray for global support — so that the world does not grow weary of standing with Ukraine against evil.
- Pray for wisdom and courage of world leaders in the fight against the dictatorial coalition of evil.
This day of prayer could not come at a more critical moment. President Trump just recently met with Russian President Vladimir Putin. Then, earlier this week, he met with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky and other European leaders. Peace is close than ever before, but it has proven to be evasive in the past. Let’s pray boldly, remain steadfast in intercession, and ask the Lord to finally bring an end to this horrible war!

Lord, in the midst of all this hate, I lift up a people who are fighting against overwhelming odds with no country willing to back them like North Korea and China have backed the much larger Russia! Put a wall of protection around them! Block the hundreds of drones and missiles directed at them! Put a wall of protection around Zelensky to protect him from all the evil spoken about him and the witchcraft directed at him by pretend Christians. You do the impossible! You do what men are unwilling to do! Stand with them! Cause the Russian to withdraw from Ukraine land! Release the prisoners!

It is difficult to know which country you are referring to based on what you say because biological experiments take place all over the world including in the United States and Russia as well as money laundering with money laundering perhaps being more prevalent in Russia because of the merging of government with criminal activities. Since you are posting this is a thread about Ukraine, one has to assume that you associate Ukraine with biological weapons. Russia has promoted the idea that Ukraine has been developing biological weapons which are funded by the UNITED STATES. These claims have been widely debunked by international scientific organizations, independent experts, the U.N., and media outlets. No credible evidence has been presented to support the existence of a Ukrainian biological weapons program. The UNITED STATES and Ukraine, however, did co support some labs which were working on infectious diseases. (Are you accusing the UNITED STATES of developing biological weapons???)

RJ, remember Wuhan Lab? We know what the official name of the lab is. You can google it. We also know what city it is in. You can google pictures of it taken from multiple, creditable sources. You can google and find the names of individuals from the West who visited the lab. Before all the publicly surrounding the lab happened, you could find by going to research sites posted research which was conducted at the lab. We can also google who the manager of the lab is.
In Ukraine, there is no travel restrictions. Our military moves freely through the country. Press from all over the world is there, hot on the trail of news stories. Westerners are there and move freely. So, what is the official name of the lab you refer to? What city is it in? Do you have pictures of it? Whenever a professional journalists makes a claim that is not previously proved, he has to prove it. He has to provide multiple items of proof from creditable sources. What are the names of creditable individuals who have been in the lab? Can you give details of the research being conducted there which crosses the line into being a weapon?

Tucker Carlson said he had no creditable proof to back up his claim that Ukraine sold American weapons. This is actually a fact as well. You can google it. Any professional journalist who posted a claim like that with no proof would have been fired by his or her news source and their career ended.

In 1992 I was sent by God to Russia and Ukraine to minister in His Name. There I saw and heard a Ukrainian man tell me that after we left Russia would come again and take over. I was in Donetsk at the time. My prayer is that Americans would see TRUTH again and not fall prey to Russian disinformation. Ukrainians are the victims and Russia is the aggressor. I prat God would send a spirit of remorse to the people of Russia in order that they stop their evil and Repent and truly come to Faith in Jesus. To not only stop fighting but to become people who Live God more than their wicked murderous leaders.

Whenever a professional journalist makes a claim that has not been previously proved, he or she should provide proof from multiple reliable sources. Tucker Carlson provided no proof that Ukraine was selling American weapons and when pressed admitted he had no proof.
Since he has done this multiple times, made claims and provided no proof, his reliability is questionable. His degree, by the way, is in art history but any person majoring in history is required to take a course in building an understanding of events or people based on evidence.
Please do not start posting that parts of Ukraine should be turned over to Russia because of an unproved claim by an unreliable social media personality.
Please let us focus on intercession and not repeating hateful, groundless lies.
Before someone starts posting something about Ukraine elections:
The Ukraine constitution does not allow for elections during war.
Election polls because they would be well advertised ahead of time and a gathering place for hundreds of people would be targets for drone attacks.
Something like 25% of Ukraine is under Russian control so it would be impossible to hold ‘fair’ elections there.
Millions of Ukrainians have fled the country and it would be impossible to track them all down and get them mail in ballots whose legitimacy would, moreover, probably be questioned.
Thousands of men are fighting in trenches and getting ballots to them would be next to impossible.
