Father God, thank you for our free market economy and the many freedoms we enjoy as Americans. Help us understand and explain the problems with socialism.

Generation Z has a more positive view of the word “socialism” than previous generations, and — along with millennials — are more likely to embrace socialistic policies and principles than past generations, according to a new Harris Poll given exclusively to Axios. . . .

Gen Z and millennials are projected to make up 37% of the electorate in 2020, and what they’re looking for in a presidential candidate is shifting.

The top three voting issues for Gen Z, according to the Harris poll, are mass shootings, racial equality, and immigration policy and treatment of immigrants.

Millennials’ top issues are access to health care, global warming/climate change and mass shootings.

Gen X’s top issues are: access to health care, terrorism/national security and the national debt — the same top issues for boomers and older.

Here are some great, shareable videos on socialism:

  1. Father God, please open the eyes, ears, minds, and hearts of Generation Z and the Millennials to the truth about socialism and communism. Do not allow them to be deceived, LORD God. Reveal and expose the lies. Expose those who are lying and their motives. I ask that You place a great anointing on those who are proclaiming truth. Empower them to be voices that people cannot ignore. I ask You to do this in the name of Jesus for the sake of Your people and this nation.

    Amen! 1
  2. Prov 1:14-19

14 Throw in your lot with us [they insist] and be a sworn brother and comrade; let us all have one purse in common–

    15 My son, do not walk in the way with them; restrain your foot from their path;

16 For their feet run to evil, and they make haste to shed blood.

17 For in vain is the net spread in the sight of any bird!

18 But [when these men set a trap for others] they are lying in wait for their own blood; they set an ambush for their own lives.

19 So are the ways of everyone who is greedy of gain; such [greed for plunder] takes away the lives of its possessors. [Prov 15:27; 1 Tim 6:10.]

    Amen! 1
  3. Heavenly Father, I pray for Pres. Trump and all the leaders of the USA that You would send Christian men and women into their paths to share the Truth of the Gospel and encourage those who are already Christian. Father, You tell us in 1 Timothy 2:1-6 to pray for all who are in authority “that we may live peaceful and quiet lives in all godliness and holiness. This is good, and pleases God our Savior, who wants all men to be saved and come to a knowledge of the Truth.” Father, we desire to see this peace, holiness, and godliness among the citizens of our nation. May people of different races learn to love You first and each other as You have taught us.
Father, we have not seen socialism work very well in any country. Your Word also says that a if person refuses to work, they should not eat. ( 2 Thessalonians 3:10) It seems like some leaders feel like everything should be taken from those who have worked hard and given to those who haven’t worked at all. That is not Your way. Everyone is to use the talents that You have given them. I ask for wisdom for our leaders to seek Your face and Your way to lead the USA. Let Thy Kingdom come & let Thy will be done in the USA. Thank You, Father, for hearing our prayers. Amen

    Amen! 1
  4. I grew up with the story of “The Little Red Hen.” None of the barnyard animals wanted to help with making the bread, but they all wanted to eat it. Also, I heard of the ant and the grasshopper. The sad part is that the people I know who are looking to their family, friends and the government to support them are missing out on the fulfillment of contributing their God-given talents to the world. I pray that the slackers have their eyes opened to the folly of their selfish and lazy choices. Amen.

    Amen! 1
  5. Lord, I pray that you open everyone’s eyes so that they may see. I pray that you will forgive them, O Father, for they no not what they do. I pray that you would help them to see that this isn’t the way you wanted it, and I pray that you would show them the way you wanted, and I pray that they will know you and your great power, O Lord. In Jesus Name, Amen.

    Amen! 1
  6. I am praying for God to bring a GREAT AWAKENING to America which will bring this nation back to its roots as our forefathers understood them. I thank God for the shift I see coming in regard to this issue. Thank you Father for the reprieve you have given this nation and will continue to bring as long as we your children intercede on behalf of this Nation. In the Name of Jesus Christ our Lord I pray, Amen!

    Amen! 1
  7. If anyone thinks you can get something free through redistributing wealth then that person should study all the socialist governments and what happens to the people governed by such policies. It never bodes well for the people in the short run or the long run. Unfortunately there has been a strategic effort through our educational systems in America to brain wash students to believe you can and should get something free that was provided by someone else who went to work. Common sense advises that it is a foolish and unwise thing to remove the incentive from those inclined to work hard and apply their skills to provide for those who refuse to work.
That kind of system leads to more governement control of the people trying to redistribute wealth instead of letting the free enterprise , free market system to most efficiently distribute wealth in proportion to individual investments of time, capital, risk, and effort.
There is no free lunch and freedom is not free.
I pray that the Lord will begin to shake everything that is shakeable so that the unshakeable will remain. Socialism would not pass that test for sure.

    Amen! 1
    1. Dear Don,
What you have written reminds me of the T.V. commerical playing around now, which goes like this, “I Want It All I Want It Now” No real incentive to “work hard for what you get. Sad to say I saw this principle being taught as a public high school teacher. We have a big problem that requires a BIG GOD to fix it. Pray, pray and pray.
