After six years of legal battles, a win for religious liberty.

From CBN News. The largest faith-based professional healthcare association in the U.S. is celebrating a final victory in its federal court case to protect the religious rights of its members. They were fighting a government mandate that would have forced them to perform gender-transition procedures or abortions against their conscience and best medical judgment.

Christian Medical & Dental Associations (CMDA) was represented in its six-year legal battle by attorneys with Becket, a non-profit legal group.

Since 2016, the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services had pushed a controversial transgender mandate, threatening religious doctors and hospitals with penalties unless they perform gender transitions in violation of their conscience.

As CBN News reported in August, the case of Franciscan Alliance v. Becerra was brought by CMDA, a group of religious hospitals and nine states, and it appeared poised to head to the U.S. Supreme Court after a unanimous victory from the U.S. Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals.

On Friday, the Biden administration gave up on seeking a Supreme Court review of that case. The legal victory for religious liberty now stands as a powerful precedent nationwide.

Luke Goodrich, vice president and senior counsel at Becket, tweeted: “Great news! The Biden Admin’s transgender mandate–requiring doctors and hospitals to perform gender transitions against conscience and best medical judgment–has been struck down. AND the Admin has declined to appeal to #SCOTUS–meaning this win is FINAL.”

A related case is currently pending in the Eighth Circuit Court of Appeals. As CBN News reported in January of 2021, a federal court in North Dakota struck down the federal transgender mandate in the case of the Sisters of Mercy and several religious organizations against the provision of the Affordable Care Act. The Biden administration appealed the ruling to the Eighth Circuit. The 11-judge panel is expected to release its decision in the coming weeks.

Goodrich also tweeted the fight is not over due to that remaining Eighth Circuit case. …

“This key legal battle is a hard-fought victory that impacts and protects the rights of healthcare professionals across this country,” said CMDA CEO Mike Chupp, MD, FACS. “After more than six years of fighting this case in federal court, we have now set a national precedent and ensured we can continue to provide the best and safest care to our patients.” …

I am encouraged by this victory! but there’s more.. It is written that we all are created equal. We should give them a reminder: if we are equal, then why are you mandating me to violate my conscience, are you making yourself holier than me? Why are you imposing your lack of wisdom on me? If a homosexual needs a cake to be made for their “so-called marriage,” let a homosexual entrepreneur make it, don’t ask me or mandate a God-fearing Company to make it for you, violating my conscience! We are not going to placate an un-Godly, satanically inclined character to demand we bow down to your Godless dogma, in other words, kissing Satan’s butt!
It is written that every devout born-again Christian is a son of God, not “The” Son of God, but “a” son of God. We were raised and also made to be sit at God’s right hand, (in Christ), not in yourself. Jesus is the King of “us” kings, and Lord of “us” lords! We are not self-made “gods” like what New Agers claim to be. It is what God says we are! It is written in Psalms 82 and John 10:34. We have the power of attorney to use His Name, His Authority. Not some “Joe Schmoe.” Get Thee Behind Me, Satan!” Recall Matthew 4:8-10. Satan wants Jesus to “fall”-down (like first Adam) and worship him. Jesus did not bow to Satanic authority, wishes or mandates!
JESUS= JE(Jehovah{Father})- S (Son{Jesus}- US{Us, His People}. No man can come to the Father, except through His Son!

Yes, I pray for Christian Hospitals and Healthcare agencies to fight extra hard in this godless country we live in. Standing for Christ with these professionals and what they do is harder to find so support is greatly needed!

Father God, thank you for this victory. I pray that as it comes before the Eighth Court, that their decision would be the same. I pray the Biden administration will see the writing on the wall and not pursue this. Open their eyes to the danger to children and people of all ages with these procedures. As your Spirit brings revival to our nation, I pray that we would soon see the change of ungodly rule change. Bless our doctors as they stand for righteousness.

Yes indeed, and thank our heavenly father for this win!
However, it is worth noting that this particular group should not have had to spend the time and the money to defend their rights to freedom of expression and religious liberty. It is in the Constitution it should not be in question!
