Recently, the American Medical Association announced it would no longer recommend transgender surgeries for minors, becoming the second prominent medical organization in the nation to push back on the lies of transgenderism.

“The evidence for gender-affirming surgical intervention in minors is insufficient for us to make a definitive statement,” the American Medical Association told news outlets in a statement.
The association added that “in the absence of clear evidence,” it agrees with the American Society of Plastic Surgeons that surgical interventions in minors should be generally deferred to adulthood.
The American Society of Plastic Surgeons announced on Feb. 3 that it recommends surgeons not carry out “gender-related surgeries,” such as the removal of breasts or genitals, until a patient is at least 19.
The American Medical Association has, up until this point, staunchly defended transgender surgeries for minors. The group even promised in 2024 to “oppose laws and policies that criminalize, prohibit or otherwise impede the provision of evidence-based, gender-affirming care.”
As mentioned above, the American Medical Association is not the first group to change its stance on transgender surgeries. As IFA Contributing Writer Belinda Brewster reported on Thursday, the American Society of Plastic Surgeons became the first major medical group to oppose these surgeries for minors earlier this week. This comes amid a larger push in our society against trans surgeries, which are supported by little evidence, according to an HHS report from last year.
Across America, many are finally waking up and seeing the truth about the lies of transgenderism. As this pushback continues, let’s pray for children everywhere in America to be protected from these harmful, irreversible treatments and surgeries!

Are the people saying this now the same people or this a different group in charge. If it is the same people they are just waiting for evil to gain control of the government so they can go back to the evil. I pray that Jesus take care of this evil.

I praise you for this decision. We humbly ask for the American Pediatricians Medical Association and American Psychiatrists and Psychologists Association to come out against the treatment of Transgender surgery and Cross-sex hormones on minors. We ask that any physician that recommended or performed these treatments on minors would lose their licenses and would be subject to criminal justice and civil penalties. We ask for justice to be done for the mutilation of our children. In Jesus Name Amen
My question for the AMA is this: Why did you have to wait until the political pendulum has clearly swung on this critical issue in order to change your tune? Let me suggest the answer that you have already confirmed for us: It is that the AMA is primarily a political organization that is pro surgery no matter on whom, devoid of considerations that should serve as protection for childhood. The damage done under that policy cannot bear the weight of the millstone around your neck, can it.
It “changed its mind” right after a detransitioner won a huge lawsuit, does that tell you something!!!
