U.S. Attorney General Pam Bondi was ripping things down on her very first day on the job.

She told Lara Trump on the latterā€™s new Fox talk show (The View with Lara Trump) that upon entering her new office, she was faced with portraits of former President Biden, former Vice President Kamala Harris, and Former AG Merrick Garland.

She promptly pulled them off the wall, lugged them down the hall, and deposited them in front of a staffer, who informed her that ā€œmaintenance is really slow here.ā€

Bondiā€™s reply, ā€œWell, it took me about 30 seconds to get them off the wall.ā€

Seems like Pam Bondi shares an affinity for action with her new boss.

In fact, the President wasted no time naming her for AG once former nominee Matt Gaetz withdrew from consideration. A couple hours after the embattled former representative stepped down on Nov. 21, President Trump announced his choice of Bondi for top lawyer.

It was four days after Bondiā€™s 59th birthday.

Conservatives and critics of the Biden Department of Justice (DOJ) are hoping for a gift in this nomination, too.

Sen. Chuck Grassley (R-Iowa), Chairman of the Senate Judiciary Committee, said prior to Bondiā€™s vote, ā€œWhen confirmed, Ms. Bondi will take the helm at a turbulent time and of a Justice Department infected with political decision-making, and its leaders refusing to acknowledge that reality ā€“ in other words, political decision making on the 7th floor of the Hoover Building.ā€

Bondiā€™s record bears out her conservative credentials.

She is a registered Republican and has spoken at GOP conventions, including the Conservative Political Action Conference (CPAC).

A fourth-generation Floridian, Bondi cut her teeth as a prosecutor in Floridaā€™s 13th circuit, battling domestic violence, murder, and drug running.

Determined to have a larger impact, in 2010, Bondi ran for Attorney General in Florida. Though it was her first foray into politics, she was not entirely unfamiliar with the process..

Her father, Joseph Bondi, was a city council member and mayor of her hometown, Temple Terrace, Florida, near Tampa.

Bondi became the stateā€™s first female Attorney General.

She won reelection in 2014 and served through 2019, when term limits prohibited another immediate run for the office.

In her position as top law gun in Florida, Bondi waged war on the illicit opioid trade that had earned the state the dubious moniker, ā€œthe pill mill capital of the United States.ā€

She secured hard-hitting legislation that shut down 98 top opioid dispensaries. She tracked dangerous synthetic drugs and ultimately helped draft a bill that enables law enforcement to enforce bans against such drugs.

The Florida Police Chiefs Association recognized her for “efforts to reduce prescription drug abuse and strengthen Florida’s Prescription Drug Monitoring Program through additional legislation via the ‘pill mill’ bill.ā€

In 2014, when gay marriage advocates sued Florida for not recognizing certificates from other states, Bondi fought, citing the fact that 62% of the stateā€™s residents defined a marriage traditionally. The June 2015 U.S. Supreme Court ruling on Obergefell v. Hodges rendered the issue moot.

As Floridaā€™s AG, Bondi fought for constituents, securing significant settlements in a range of fraud and other consumer cases.

Bondi is certainly qualified to be Americaā€™s top lawyer.

She holds a Bachelorā€™s of Science in criminal justice from the University of Florida (1987) and a Juris Doctorate from Stetson Law School (1990).

Bondi has served as Chair for the Center for Litigation, and Co-Chair of the Center for Law and Justice at America First Policy Institute. AFPI is peopled with many who served in President Trumpā€™s first administration and who align with his views.

Her list of achievements is long.

More recently, Bondi has been a lobbyist for Ballard Partners, of which Chief of Staff Susie Wiles has been a partner. There she has been able to act upon her passion to end human trafficking by lobbying on behalf of a Christian anti-trafficking organization.

Skeptics acknowledge Bondiā€™s credentials and charm but worry about her connections.

Some of Bondiā€™s other lobbying clients ā€” such as Qater and Kuwait ā€” cause eyebrows to go up.

But the biggest red flag for many are her tight ties to the Trumps ā€” in particular Lara Trump, the Presidentā€™s daughter-in-law.

Though Bondi did not serve in an official capacity in the first administration, she did step in to litigate for President Trump in his first impeachment trial. She also supported President Trump in the disputes about the 2020 presidential election.

She and the Trump organization first connected during her stint as Florida AG. Though not herself implicated, some question her involvement as Florida AG in the Trump University settlements about alleged fraud.

But Bondi has a strong support network.

She attends Radiant Church in Florida and included her pastor in the group of friends and family who attended her swearing in ceremony.

In a video interview, her pastor said Bondiā€™s faith undergirds her work.

Bondi is now married to John Wakefield, who has three children from a prior relationship, after two earlier divorces.

Bondi has no children of her own, but she loves dogs. Her staff recall that she often brought canine friends to office meetings to encourage their adoption.

Prior to being tapped by President Trump, she was considering running again for Florida Attorney General having sat out the required amount of time. She told Ms. Trump, ā€œI love helping people, and that was my plan.”

Bondi faces immense challenges at the DOJ.

Among them:

Bondi needs our prayers.

Please pray:

I guess I don’t understand how a website can call itself Christian or moral when it consistently takes the side of the rich and powerful like Trump and Musk. (Luke 1:46-55) I don’t understand how you can call this Christian to lift up this woman, Bondi, who got to her position by accepting a bribe from Trump. That is Biblical? How is it Biblical to stand against diversity, equity, inclusion, all Biblical issues because Trump says they are bad. Trump is more authoritative than scripture? Oh, no, wait, we are against that because incompetent people might get hired. But then we remain silent while Trump places inexperienced, not qualified people to all kinds of positions on his cabinet and hires a general who legally not qualified to be in the position of joint chiefs of staff. This week, one of Trump’s spiritual advisers was found guilty of sex crimes with a child. SILENCE here. Would we expect the same if a Harris spiritual adviser or Biden spiritual adviser had been found guilty of the same crime. No, they would be vilified.

Father in Heaven, most of all we pray that AG Pam Bondi and every Senator, Representative and Judge in authority in our government would know You through Jesus our Savior and Lord. We pray that they would be filled with Your Holy Spirit and be men and women of prayer. Give each of them a love for Your, Your Holy Word, and Your precepts of how to govern in a way that pleases You, Lord. In the Mighty Name of Jesus we ask these things. Come and reign over U.S., Lord!

Precious Lrd, please look with favor on your servant General Pam Bondi. Give her wisdom and make her effective in her decisions and in how she applies her time for the best outcomes. I pray your protection on her and every person in the DOJ that they would support the equal distribution of justice. Thank you, Lrd, for your favor. We completely rely on your guidance and submit ourselves to your holy will.

Father, may Ms Bondi ask for Your position on key strategies and prioritizing workloads. Give her the key staffers she needs to secure the boundaries of her department and be worthy of their loyalty at all times. May she seek You with all her heart and lean not on her own understanding. In all her ways acknowledge You to direct her path.

Miss Bondiā€™s plate is so very full of so many responsibilities that this verse came to mind:

Psa 23:5Ā Ā Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies: thou anointest my head with oil; my cup runneth over.

We declare and decree this over a Pam Bondi, in the name of Jesus!

I agree with the prayer above, and with your prayer points Joyce, for our AG Pam Bondi. As those pictures came off the wall in her office, may their influence and ungodly heritage be removed from our Department of Justice. May it reflect it’s name, and become just through her leadership.

Lord of all justice and righteousness, from her resume, we know you have already given promotions of ponderous responsibilities to Ms. Bondi and she has risen to each challenge with wisdom and grace. We ask you to continue to supply her with your just solutions to the many legal challenges she faces, but most of all, keep her prayerful connection to you equally strong. Grant her your favor to overcome the many obstacles and challenges by your strength. Keep her focused on your designs for true justice and righteousness to flow like a river, washing away the many deceptive practices of the recent past. Help her to know how to overcome and dismantle every demonic sex trafficking and slave labor promoting criminal organization at our borders. Unveil every source of criminal funding and bring them all to justice. In your Holy name, Lord of Life and Truth. Amen
