God used IFA to save an Afghan family!

On Dec. 13, 2022, IFA posted the article, “Afghan Refugees Still Need Help and Hope.” This article featured Marty Angell’s work helping Afghans who aided the U.S. before the Taliban took over. We also prayed about it that day on Headline Prayer Live.

Our prayers bore fruit! Two days later, we received this text from Angell:

Top [department aiding the U.S. before the Taliban took over] husband/wife team under Taliban threat — who hid for 15 months moving from place to place — safely evacuated to [one of the few nations receiving Afghan refugees]!! Got the whole family out.

We thank God for this answered prayer!

Have you taken your place on the wall?

Thank you for keeping the targeted Afghans and their families in your prayers!

The Afghan family Angell was able to evacuate

Though this family is out of harm’s way, because the Chinese Communist Party is so heavily invested in Afghanistan, we hid their identities from facial-recognition software that could be used to locate them.

Another commenter, Penny, expressed concern that it is men who are being freed and not families: What I have trouble with throughout the Afghan rescue mission is, why is it so often the men who get out, leaving the women and children behind? Even in this article [Angell] speaks of getting two men out because being with their families it was no longer safe.

Angell’s response gives us discernment in intercession: What happens is they [the Taliban] kill the fathers in front of the wife and kids and leave.  The men are often removed in order to get them out of harm’s way.  I have many women and children needing help right now.

So, we praise God and thank Him for the deliverance of the family pictured above, but we continue to pray for the many families and individuals still in danger.

Another way the Lord is at work through the article is that Dana M. posted this in the comments:

My son has a friend who is an Afghan…he is now in Pakistan trying to meet with the International Office in order to get him and his family to the U.S. He was very supportive with the Army base; this is how my son met him. We are friends on Facebook and we talk almost every day with the WhatsApp. If you can do anything to help them please let me know. The Taliban took his business and destroyed his home and has listed him as a spy for the U.S. He fears for his life. Please help.

IFA contributing writer Rich Swingle contacted Angell about Dana’s comment, and Angell wrote back:

The needs are very great. But I have been able to help through some very well-positioned friends’ critical help.

Let’s pray that this connection saves another life!

While the situation in Afghanistan is dire in so many ways, the amazing thing that is happening is that people are seeing the truth about Islam and are running into the arms of Jesus. I personally know people there–many–who have had exactly that happen to them. They are believers who are growing day by day in their faith and are sharing Jesus with others. Romans 8:28 is on display as He words all things together for good. Genesis 50:20 is also at work as the Taliban means all of this against the people for evil, but God is using it for good as many are saved for eternal life even in the face of such hardship. Pray for MANY to come to Him!

My prayer is that Afghanistan will be cleaned up from the evil government and the evil forces which are causing the citizens to suffer so they can return to their country and have their own Constitutional Replican form of government as set up by the Founding Fathers in the USA. I pray this in the Holy Name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth. Amen!☦️🎄

“We pray for eyes to see and provision for the least of these.”

Thank you for helping me to declare from the rooftops that this is our modern day holocaust. Let’s be Dietrich, Bonhoffer’s iand Corrie Ten Booms. The opposition and enemies are great. The harsh winter storm that few are ready for with the lack of clothes, money, jobs, fuel, or wood to keep them warm. Additionally, there’s a brutal force trained to kill. They make up their own laws and rules and they take all the food the UN and the US Govt sends. And on top of that, the US Govt is slow-walking the visas giving the impression they don’t want freedom-seeking, law-abiding Afghans here. The world is very dark right now for our Afghan cousins and friends. 100% of donations goes to the Afghans. If your church or family can sponsor an Afghan family, I’m happy to make an introduction.

Thank You, Jesus, for Your saving grace for those in danger. Please bring them all to safety and into Your salvation.

I also pray that You bring to justice Joe Biden and everyone complicit in the humanitarian crimes they committed in leaving these innocent people vulnerable. I also pray for full-on exposure of every way that Joe Biden, his family, and his regime are in cohorts with China (China’s influence is heavy in Afghanistan and Biden did what he did=nefarious connection.).

Thank You, Jesus, that you are a God of mercy, but You are also a God of justice.

I God please provide a way of escape for the Afghan families left behind. Please protect them, protect the men also. Keep them safe so they all can escape and come to the US. Guard their lives O Lord, help them in their time of trouble. Provide people who can strategically help them to escape.
🙏🙏🙏

Father of all, thank You for Your help in saving people who assisted the U.S. Lord, let there be many more lives saved from destruction. Make a way where there seems to be no way. Open doors that seem closed. Light the path. And I give You all the praise and glory. In Jesus’ Name. Amen.

Upon reading this I quickly offered up prayer and was surprised to hear coming out of my mouth: “Lord, create tunnels of safety for them.” My brain wasn’t picturing underground tunnels or tunnels of any kind. The words were not from my own intellect. So Father, You know why I was lead to pray that way. Thank you for the tunnels of safety You are creating for the Afghani people needing to escape whether tangible or spiritual. Bring families together and make Your name great among a people who need salvation. In Jesus’ name, amen.
