I Prayed have prayed
Father, we thank You for how You are using the Trump administration to bring an end to transgenderism. We pray districts like Loudoun County would work with the administration to protect women and girls, not against it!

Loudoun County, known as the richest county in America, is going to war with the Trump administration. Earlier this week, the county’s school board voted to spurn the Department of Education’s Title IX order.

From Just the News:

Loudoun County Public Schools is endangering its federal funding by spurning an Education Department order for the second time in four months, this time the July 25 demand to rescind its affirmation of gender identity over sex pertaining to “intimate facilities” and sports and define “male” and “female” by biology in Title IX-related practices.

The Tuesday night school board meeting, which wrapped up overnight, drew a “huge turnout,” according to a local reporter. “The only trans policy you don’t promote is transparency,” one parent testified among the dozens who lined up for public comment, WJLA.com reported.

The parents and activists outraged by the 6-3 vote to reject the DOE demand, some of them close to the Trump administration, promised to fight on.

This is not the first time Loudoun County has found itself embroiled in controversy. Just the News notes that the district has a history of “reported sexual assaults stemming from the gender identity policy.” The county also resisted the Trump Administration’s demand earlier that it not adhere to DEI practices.

At the same times, there are signs of positive change in Loudoun, located just outside of Washington in northern Virginia. Just the News notes that the board just recently dismissed a teacher’s lawsuit, certifying that its Policy 8040 does not require teachers to use students’ preferred pronouns.

So where does this leave Loudoun County, a district that, according to one school board member, is using “taxpayer dollars to violate the law and push ideology?” The Education Department does not appear to have responded to the county’s spurning yet, but is has opened investigations into four districts in Kanas that have similar pro-trans policies. Unless Loudoun changes its ways, it seems like it is only a matter of time before the Trump administration drops the legal hammer on the district.

As Loudoun fights, let’s pray. Let’s pray for the members of the county’s school board to hear from the Lord, and let’s pray for His will to be done in northern Virginia!
