NORTH KOREA—WAR OF WORDS
NORTH KOREA—WAR OF WORDS
Pray for U.S. leaders to speak wisely to and about foreign nations. May our leaders have wisdom in dealing with the foolish speech of Kim Jong-un.
The tongue of the wise adorns knowledge, but the mouth of the fool gushes folly. (Prv 15:2)
“North Korea threatened South Korea and the United States on Tuesday with ‘merciless retaliation’ over their ongoing joint military drills.
Pyongyang warned both countries they ‘should take the whole responsibility for catastrophic results from (a) reckless war game,’ according to comments by the North’s military published by the state-run Korean Central News Agency (KCNA).
South Korean and U.S. troops began 10 days of joint military exercises on Monday. About 50,000 South Korean forces and 17,500 U.S. military are taking part.
Pyongyang views the annual drills as an invasion rehearsal. South Korea and the U.S. describe them as defensive in nature. This year’s drills come amid a war of words between North Korea and the U.S. over the former’s threat to launch missiles into waters near the U.S. territory of Guam, although tensions have eased in recent days.”(Excerpted from USA Today, reporting by Kim Hjelmgaard.)

I trust in the Lord for His promises are true. The government is on His shoulders. Great is His faithfulness and morning by morning His mercies are new. Let us come in prayer together to restore our hearts unto Him who knows its desires. May His glory endures forever and ever. Thanks be to God through Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior. Amen.
I am in agreement with Felicia:”Lord God, i thank you for the stand China made against a first strike from North Korea. I thank you that the UN has unanimously stood against this nuclear tirade coming from NK. Praise you for this Lord. We ask that you would keep this in check Lord, and that you would continue to give wisdom and discretion to our leaders. In Jesus name, Amen
