Following President Trump’s threats of tariffs, Mexico has decided to assist the United States in securing the border and stopping the flow of fentanyl. Will the other nations facing tariffs follow suit?
From The Daily Wire. Mexican President Claudia Sheinbaum said on Monday that she is moving 10,000 members of the country’s National Guard to the U.S./Mexico border to stop drug trafficking.

Sheinbaum made the announcement after speaking earlier in the day with President Donald Trump following his decision to hit the country with 25% tariffs for not doing more to stop the flow of fentanyl into the U.S.
“Mexico will immediately reinforce the northern border with 10,000 members of the National Guard to prevent drug trafficking from Mexico to the United States, particularly fentanyl,” she said in a statement. …
She also said that the Trump administration agreed to pause the implementation of tariffs for one month. …
From National Review. President Donald Trump on Saturday followed through on his threat to impose tariffs on imports from Mexico, Canada, and China in an effort to spur those countries to do more to curb illegal immigration to the U.S. and to stop the flow of illegal drugs.
Trump announced that he was imposing 25 percent tariffs on imports from Mexico and Canada, though the tariffs on Canadian energy imports will be limited to 10 percent, according to news reports. He also added an additional 10 percent tariff on imports from China.
The tariffs are slated to go into effect on Tuesday, according to the New York Times. They can be escalated if any of the countries retaliate — heightening the threat of a trade war and increasing the likelihood that prices for American consumers and businesses will rise. …
The White House told reporters that there would be no process for companies to get special exemptions from the tariffs. The most important metrics to determine if they tariffs could be removed would be if fewer Americans die of fentanyl and if there is a reduction in the amount of drugs recovered at the border, according to the Times.
Before Trump officially announced the tariffs on Saturday, Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau vowed “a forceful and immediate response” if they were imposed. Canada exports about 75 percent of its goods and services to the U.S.
Trump threatened on the campaign trail to place retaliatory tariffs on the three countries to ensure their cooperation in halting illegal immigration and combating the smuggling of precursor chemicals used to produce fentanyl. …

The conditions of these tariffs are a reflection of someone that cares about his country; willing to take measures to protect it and its people as any good patriarch would do. I don’t understand the frenzy from the American people expressing fear over increased prices when these measures are a trade off for men women and children Dying from the drugs coming across our boarders.WE ARE SO VERY CONVENIENCE oriented.

Most people with their eyes open have seen and understood how the tragedy of open borders has been an open door to those who only want to take advantage of what we have here, and possibly even do their best to destroy it.
Even Canada has now agreed to reinforce her border with the U.S.!
I believe that President Trump has a pretty good idea of how weak or strong his opponents are. So far, he has been proven prescient.
I think this is what true leadership looks like. THIS is what it looks like when a President truly loves his country and will do whatever it takes to protect its citizens. This is what it looks like when POTUS puts his country’s interests before his own personal interests & popularity. I think this President knows the mission AND how to get it done. I think he needs our prayers every day!!!!

I believe whatever chaos might occur in the stock market will be corrected as Trump sees his plans through. The expectations are high and his window of time is short. He’s a very smart negotiator. Give him a chance.
If Mexico already had 15K troops on the border, we could reasonably question what they were doing there. They certainly weren’t protecting the US from all the evil coming in.

Lord, I praise and thank you for the new Mexican president, Ms. Sheinbaum. She has already proved to be very intelligent and competent by capturing and incarcerating the head of the Sinaloa cartel (largest drug traffikers) and confiscating tons of fentanel. I was so grateful to hear that Mr.Vance is negotiating with her. Please continue to strengthen the cooperation between our countries and bless Mexican leadership who promote your purposes for their nation. Amen
