Immediately after being confirmed, Education Secretary Linda McMahon announced her plan to lead her department’s “final mission.” Will we finally see education return to the states, just as IFA intercessors have prayed for decades?
From Fox News. Linda McMahon, in her first act as Secretary of Education, is informing all employees that she will lead a “momentous final mission” toĀ send education back to the states, according to a letter obtained by Fox News Digital.

McMahon is sending a letter to all Department of Education (DoEd) employees on Monday evening, informing them of a “new era of accountability” as she oversees PresidentĀ Donald Trump’sĀ promise to dissolve the department.
“Our job is to respect the will of the American people and the President they elected, who has tasked us with accomplishing the elimination of bureaucratic bloat here at the Department of Educationāa momentous final missionāquickly and responsibly,” McMahon wrote to employees in the letter that was shared first with Fox News Digital. …
Under McMahon, the department will work from three base convictions, according to her letter: that parents are the primary decision makers in their childrenās education, that taxpayer-funded education should refocus on “meaningful learning in math, reading, science, and historyānot divisive DEI programs and gender ideology,” and that post-secondary education should be a path to a well-paying career aligned with workforce needs. …
Trump has said that his goal is toĀ “immediately” close the DoEd and that, in the process, he wants McMahon to “put herself out of a job.” …
The Trump administration would need congressional approval in order to eliminate the federal department, and McMahon said that she will be partnering with the legislative branch “to determine the best path forward to fulfill the expectations of the President and the American people” …

I’m hopeful that there will be guidelines that please you and make our nation’s children competitive like they were generations ago. May all the foolishness that we hear about in the State of California be thrown out and values brought back to a godly people, so these vile programs become illegal and never surface again. Please protect our children in the new educational program. The little ones confused, and their bodies abused by medications be undone through prayer and compassion. Hopefully, the parents will share in this goal and help the children by drilling them and reading with them so they can share in conversation what they all learned. Lord Jesus, You alone know what needs to happen regarding the Department of Education going forward. I pray for Linda McMahon as she navigates the processes of the “final mission” of this federal agency. I firmly believe that the Department of Education needs to be dismantled, and the educational decisions need to be dealt with on a state and local level. Please protect Linda and her family throughout this endeavor. May Your will be accomplished in this, and in all of the measures that the Trump Administration takes in reducing our bloated bureaucracy. Thank You Jesus.
Praise God for this answer to many years of prayer. I was a public high school teacher in my early career (back in the 80’s and 90’s) and refused to join the teachers’ union because of their politicization and disrespect for my Christian values. I have been praying for a turn-around for five decades, and the three points in McMahon’s letter express perfectly those things for which I have been praying.
Father, thank You for hearing and answering our fervent prayers to return the education of our children to what is essential for them to be contributing citizens of this wonderful nation. Please protect and guide Linda McMahon as she faces a daunting task. May we continue to intercede for her strength, wisdom, perseverance, and patience as she addresses forces that are aligned against her and You. We love our children, and we desire for them to know and love you. May our educational system foster, not hinder, this goal. With the de-federalizing of education, I pray also that the national teacher unions will become defunct. Far too many teachers felt compelled to join, and/or they joined because they were not aware of their evil agendas. YHVH, please prepare people at the state and local level to take this hand-off, and run with it – but with a Godly and common sense agenda – to quote āfocus on meaningful learning in math, reading, science, and history . . . and that post-secondary education should be a path to a well-paying career aligned with workforce needs.” And I might add, please re-establish or restore meaningful trades education even at the secondary level. College education is appropriate for certain career goals, but it is not necessary to be an intelligent and productive member of society. May it be put in it’s proper place.
