Lord, we ask You to use the many layoffs and changes to reform the mainstream media. Let the media once again provide the news and only the news, and let all lies and manipulations of facts fade away.

Mainstream media outlets are laying off staff and restructuring, especially after the election. Is this the reform we’ve been praying for?

The firings are claimed to center primarily on production staff, and reporters and others will be expected to fill in the gaps. …

CEO Mark Thompson is expected to implement the changes, which will attempt to make the network more competitive after ratings plummeted under former CNN head Chris Licht. …

Licht’s tenure as head of the network saw ratings decline to 800,000 in prime time. Under CEO Jeff Zucker, whom Licht replaced, the network saw highs of 13.3 million viewers in prime time. CNN is now one of the lowest-rated news networks on cable and could only manage 5.1 million viewers on election night …

From The Gateway Pundit. The owner of the Los Angeles Times has fired his entire editorial board as he seeks to return the paper to its journalistic roots.

Posting on the X platform, the paper’s owner, Patrick Soon-Shiong, said he was proud to have posted a letter opposing attacks on white women for voting for Donald Trump and that the paper would be undergoing some major changes moving forward …

Soon-Shiong, a billionaire who invented the cancer drug Abraxane, had previously responded to Trump’s victory by stating that the “American people have spoken” and pledging to provide “factual and balanced coverage” to help heal America’s political divide.

Last month, Soon-Shiong confirmed that the paper would not be endorsing a candidate for this presidential cycle, despite having previously endorsed Biden, Clinton and Obama. …
