Lord God, we pray that the Maine governor will not sign these bills into law. We pray also that the truth about the use of aborted fetal cells will continue to be shared and religious freedoms preserved.

On May 14, the Maine Legislature approved two bills to be sent to Governor Janet Mills with a one, two punch that not only will require Maine businesses and taxpayers to pay for abortions, but will also require them to purchase products of abortion and inject them into themselves and their children. We have reported on this before, and are asking you to continue to pray about this subject: Is the issue of legal abortion in this country somehow linked spiritually to the utilization of products containing aborted fetal cell tissue and DNA?

The first bill the Maine Senate passed was LD 820, requiring “Abortion services that are not federally approved Medicaid services must be funded by state funds.” Further, “A carrier offering a health plan in this State that provides coverage for maternity services shall provide coverage for abortion services for an enrollee in accordance with this section.”

A small religious exemption is included for “religious employers,” defined as, ” an employer that is a church, a convention or association of churches or an elementary or secondary school that is controlled, operated or principally supported by a church or by a convention or association of churches as defined in 26 United States Code, Section 3121(w)(3)(A) and that qualifies as a tax-exempt organization under 26 United States Code, Section 501(c)(3).”

When signed into law, both state and private insurance companies must cover abortion services. Maine taxpayers will be forced to pay for the life-ending procedures, and business owners offering private insurance to their employees will be forced to provide abortion services regardless of their faith and religious beliefs.

That same day the persecution of religious beliefs continued as the Maine Senate then immediately turned to debate on LD 798, designed to remove the religious and faith-based exemptions from vaccines for Maine citizens and their children. Earlier this month, the Senate stood strong against the House by preserving religious freedoms, but reversed course this week and agreed to strip  them from the current law. The measure to preserve religious freedom was lost by one vote.

The bill removes the right to claim a religious exemption for daycare, preschool, K-12 (public or private), college, trade schools, online degrees (when campus visit is required), and those employed in health care. Even children with federally protected IEPs and 504s will be turned away from school if they are missing even one dose of the required vaccines. Home-schooled children can no longer play school sports or use local educational facilities without submitting to all vaccine mandates.

Every member of the Maine Legislature was individually notified during the legislative process by advocates that this bill would require that every child raised in Maine to be injected with the WI-38 cell line, developed from the lungs of a female aborted in 1962 and/or the MRC-5 cell line, developed from the lungs of a male aborted in 1966.

Governor Janet Mills is expected to sign both bills into law.

Similar legislative initiatives designed to strip religious freedoms related to vaccination have emerged in multiple states across the country this spring.  Most bills have been defeated, most recently in the Connecticut House of Representatives on May 16. Last month, lawmakers in Washington State preserved religious freedom in this area despite an outbreak of measles in their state.

The Church has been deceived about much of the truth about abortion, and how people everywhere have been led to participate in abortion. This truth is now in the open and we encourage you to continue to pray on this issue. You can learn more with our prayer guide.

Additionally, we encourage you to pray for God to move Governor Mills’ heart like a river to do His will as she decides whether to sign these bills into law. Pray also for us to learn the lessons regarding the outcomes of her decisions.  Pray for Maine and pray for the preservation of religious freedom in your state and in our nation.

  1. We need to pray for Maine, VA, NY, PA. They apparently do not know what they are doing. (What they are doing by approving abortion is killing off our own future US citizens, and it doesn’t seem to bother them.) Father in Heaven, please turn their hearts back to you. Please forgive us, as a nation, from straying away from your Word.

  2. Lord, I pray for the states that are not complying regarding abortion. May You change their minds, enlighten them, may preachers get out there and inform the people that abortion is not approved by You. We need You more than ever for the good of this nation. Please hear our prayers and answer them. We love you and want the USA to do your will. You changed this nation years ago and I am praying that you will change us now — may we have a real about face spiritual awakening unto You. Amen.

  3. I lived in upper state ME for 5 years. People there are often uneducated, poor and set in their ways. Having babies at a young age and going on welfare was the best a young woman could do. State of Me has been supporting decades of welfare families. That could be the reason for upholding Roe vs Wade.

  4. When the people of Maine begin feeling the effects of the vaccination ingredients like Formaldehyde, Mercury (causes retardation and autism), Acetate [fingernail polish], Aluminum (found in the brains of Alzheimer patients),just some of the ingredients. Vaccine Ingredients – Fetal Tissues
There is a religious refusal, Vaccinations are Sorcery.

  5. Heavenly Father, I come in agreement with the prayers being prayed for Gov Mills, the people of Maine, and our whole nation.
Let Thy Kingdom come & let Thy Will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Deliver us from evil. In Jesus’ Mighty Name. Amen

  6. I cry out for United States of America and ask You God to blow Your trumphet to Maine, VA, NY, PA etc. in this cause for the unborn child. II Chronicles 7:14 Lord this is a serious matter and there has been multiple prophecies regarding the judgement that You plan to render on us if we don’t repent of especially that of the unborn child. I remind You of the late John Paul Jackson and what he said You plan to do if America continues to destroy Your plans and purposes and not only kills life but aborts the destiny and what part of this country that child is called to do and perform. Lord I pray for the impossible and I declare the incrediable intervention of Your mighty hand and pray for mercy in holding back this judgement while we Your intercessors and burdenbearers storm Heaven in behalf of our country. I ask for Your sweeping of Your Word, fire and blood so no more blood will be shed in these least and most vulnerable citizens. In Jesus name Amen

  7. Praying for Maine and Mills-
Dear Father, you know what is best for your children. Lead us and government officials to make the decisions that honor and agree with your will, your character and your heart. As those who have witnessed the pain and damage from both these “elective medical procedures” heal us and our loved ones from
The emotional, spiritual and physical harm that has been done and restore in us your peace. amen 🙏

  8.    Declaring Psalm 7:14-17 ESV, “Behold, the wicked man conceives evil and is pregnant with mischief and gives birth to lies. He makes a pit, digging it out, and falls into the hole that he has made. His mischief returns upon his own head, and on his own skull his violence descends. I will give to the LORD the thanks due to his righteousness, and I will sing praise to the name of the LORD, the Most High.

  9. Jehovah Moshiekh, The Lord Your Savior; the enemy thought he could overcome you when he sought to destroy all of the newborns at the time Christ was born. He was unsuccessful. Then he sought to destroy Jesus on the cross at Calvary. But he was unsuccessful there too. I give you praise, for you are the ultimate victor over all, and you can save us from the evil now. I pray for Govenor Mills that she will not let the devil use her in signing these bills into law.
