Jeff Landry was sworn in as the 57th governor of Louisiana on Sunday and officially became governor at noon on Monday!

This is a historic inauguration, as a clean sweep of Louisiana’s top governmental positions in October was made, and pro-family, pro-life candidates were voted in for a new era in the “boot” state.

IFA Louisiana has been praying weekly for 19 months as a unified state group with over 142 intercessors for righteousness across all 64 parishes. Our weekly prayer conference calls and regional gatherings have been a tool in God’s hand to assist in a Nehemiah-like reformation and rebuilding of our state’s spiritual gates and walls.

Lisa Townsend, IFA Louisiana state prayer leader; Janie Harris, assistant leader; and other IFA intercessors  had the privilege of joining Landry’s hope-laden inauguration, which was saturated by biblical prayer. The ceremony went into the evening, which is the scriptural start of a new day, and it ended with a fireworks display on the lawn of the Capitol. This beautiful light show was a prophetic sign of the light of the Lord breaking through the darkness of Louisiana’s past politics, plagued as that has been with both evidence and rumors of corruption.

An intercessor praying over seats

As Lisa and the intercessors traveled to Baton Rouge, a bald eagle heralded their arrival, soaring over the highway, while they drove into the capital city. The IFA intercessors prayer-walked the capital, were given access to the inaugural site hours before the event, and prayed over the seats of newly elected officials. Top state officials were prayed for in person at the inaugural luncheon by IFA leaders, and in turn they offered their appreciation and assistance to IFA Louisiana for past and future endeavors.

Landry, previously the law-and-order attorney general of the state, reaffirmed his commitment to public safety, acknowledging Michele Anglin and Cortez Collins, two parents in the audience who had tragically lost their children to acts of senseless violence.

I sadly hear the victims of crime whose compelling voices have gone unheard for far too long, squelched by the misguided noise of those who had rather coddle criminals than live in peace,” Landry said.

“We owe no higher obligation as public servants than to fix this,” he said of Louisiana’s high crime rate.

Landry also addressed education, saying students must be protected from “unsuitable subject matter” and that schools should promote “wholesome principles, not an indoctrination behind their mother’s back.”

“Our people seek government that reflects their values,” he continued. “I believe the most important voice in a child’s education should be that of their parents.”

Louisiana’s future is in good hands, as evidenced by the inaugural ball where Landry and his bride slow-danced to Lauren Daigle’s “Hold On To Me”. Daigle concluded the evening with another Landry theme: “Come Back Home.”  The Landrys chose Daigle as the main music artist for the inaugural event, to highlight their faith and the power of worship.

Louisiana has seen a great victory for Christian values! Share your prayers for this state as it moves into a new era of leadership.

What wonderful encouragement I received as I read all this article reported about how God is moving in Louisiana. Our nation is in dire need of hope for turning our nation back to being “ one nation under God”. I pray that Louisiana will be a light to every other state, empowering those who fight for righteousness in our leaders. Almighty God may this be a turning point in America, bringing you back as head of our hearts, our homes and our government. We praise You for your mercy and goodnessness.

““True faith” is to say Amen with your entire being.” Jonathan Cahn

AMEN and AMEN

Matthew recounts in 14:18: “Bring them here to Me,” He said. And He directed the people to sit down on the grass.
Taking the five loaves and the two fish and looking up to heaven, He gave thanks and broke the loaves.

Almighty God, Yahweh Yireh – the LORD will provide: You are an awesome multiplier, I look up to You and thank You for your steadfast love and presence in my life, Father multiply this nation’s government seats and leadership with born again Bible believing men and women who stand on Your Word, principles and precepts.

Multiply them as You did with the loaves and fish as only You can do.

All glory and honor is Yours.

Emun.

Hallelujah and praise You God for this victory!!! Thank You Father, for hearing the prayers of Your saints! We ask You Lord, to put a hedge of protection around Governor Landry and his family and let them be a light unto the nation, to lead other men and women who honor You, to stand and run for office. Isaiah 2:21 says, “And He changes the times and the seasons; He removes kings and raises up kings; He gives wisdom to the wise And knowledge to those who have understanding.” We thank You God for what You have done and what You are doing. As we humble ourselves and repent Oh Lord bring revival to our land! In Jesus name, amen

Almighty, Eternal God and Father, we thank YOU for the new leaders which YOU have risen up; we thank YOU for god-fearing men, such as Tom Arceneaux, Mayor of Shreveport, Louisiana, Jeff Landry, the 57th Governor of the State of Louisiana, and Mike Johnson, U.S. Representative from Louisiana’s 4th Congressional District and Speaker of the U.S. House of Representatives. LORD, we pray for these three Louisianians who have humbly themselves before YOU. Almighty God, we are encouraged when men such as these, publicly pray, thank YOU, and acknowledge the work of YOUR hand in their selection. Father, we declare in the name of Yeshua, the nation is turning back to YOU, the people are hearing YOUR Holy Spirit’s Call to Arms, and America, shall be saved. Amen.
