Council member Eunice Dwumfour of Sayreville, New Jersey, was found shot multiple times in her vehicle just outside of the apartment complex where she lived, according to WABC-TV.

Police said that the vehicle crashed after Dwumfour was shot. She was pronounced dead at the scene.

“Eunice was a dedicated member of our borough council who was truly committed to serve our residents,” Mayor Victoria Kilpatrick said in a statement, according to NJ.com. “The fact she was taken from us by this despicable criminal act makes this incident all the more horrifying.” …

From The Western Journal. Russell Heller, a 51-year-old GOP borough councilman in Milford, was shot to death in the parking lot of a building owned by the public utility provider PSE&G where he worked, NJ.com reported.

Police said the victim was targeted by a disgruntled former employee, according to the report.

The suspect, identified as 58-year-old Gary Curtis, later took his own life while sitting in his vehicle in nearby Bridgewater, New Jersey, police said.

The Somerset County Prosecutor’s Office said in a news release Wednesday the attack occurred just after 7 a.m. ET that day and Heller was dead when first responders arrived at the scene. …

Father, in the name of Jesus my only hope of righteousness and salvation, and the only reason i can can come boldly before you, i pray first and foremost for the lawless in the church, the professing Christians who in their ignorance think Christ’s death somehow did away with the law, when He clearly said he came to fulfill it not abolish it, may you reach them and teach them properly, and i pray for the rebellious who are knowingly breaking your law in their weakness to sin. Convict and teach them, strengthen theim with a righteous resolve to solve you in holiness and show them the way
of escape from their temptations. next i pray for lawlessness among our political servants in all branches of government national, state, city and county councils, Father convict, expose, it is sad that some will not repent or some even realize their error until they are caught, exposed, corrected, so do whatever necessary to bring this to pass, lastly we pray for lawless citizens, convict, pour your spirit out, send laborers to pray fir these to witness to these, prepare hearts minds and consciences to respond tenderly to you and your servants pleas. in Jesus name i thank you fir hearing and answering my prayers.,

Father I pray that you would protect the lawmakers in America from the plans ands schemes of the enemy that they may fulfill the plans that you purpose for their lives. I pray that they would all have a personal relationship with You. I pray that they will be sensitive to the leading of Your Spirit as you guide them safely through their day. Abort the plans of the enemy. I pray that they would be able to leave the cares of this world behind as they have family time with their loved ones.
