On Thursday, both Democrats and Republicans failed to get their healthcare plans through the Senate. Amid the chaos, however, Speaker Mike Johnson suggested to reporters that he’s working with Republicans to craft a new plan.

Senate Democrats and Republicans each rejected the other’s healthcare plan Thursday, as dueling votes on extending enhanced ACA subsidies and expanding Health Savings Accounts both failed amid leaders declaring the opposing plans “dead on arrival.” Johnson spoke briefly to reporters in the Capitol, saying that he and his conference are crafting a plan that goes beyond the Democrats’ push to extend enhanced Obamacare subsidies.
“I‘ve spoken to all my colleagues. We‘ve all worked around the clock to try to come up with a solution that satisfies the needs of all of our constituents,” Johnson said.

“We‘re working on a package of legislation that will reduce premiums for all Americans, not just 7% of them,” Johnson told Raju. “And I‘ve been talking to every one of these colleagues in tough districts about that. So, stay tuned, there’s more to come.”
Democrats had initially sought to extend soon-expiring Obamacare subsidies for another three years. Republicans, meanwhile, had hoped to pass the Health Care Freedom for Patients Act, which would have allowed the Obamacare subsidies to expire and instead steer around $1,000 into Health Savings Accounts tied to Bronze or Catastrophic ACA plans.
Republicans, including the President, have rallied behind the idea of giving money directly to Americans instead of insurance companies. While we don’t yet know what kind of plan Speaker Johnson is working on, we can assume it will incorporate this core aspect as well.
Let’s pray for Speaker Johnson and for all our lawmakers as they work to lower prices and fix American healthcare!

1. for this privilege and freedom to come to you in prayer, and
2. that this healthcare issue is being addressed by our legislators, even if only for legislative reasons, and, ever-sadly, as a political ‘football’ (even ?weapon?).
Please bless this opportunity to their spirits, hearts, souls, minds and bodies for them to obediently, responsibly, compassionately and agape’-lovingly do YOUR will, YOUR way, to GLORIFY YOU in every way possible.
Without your astounding merciful and grace-filled loving omniscience, omnipotence and omnipresence, they/we cannot (and apparently WILL not):
– clearly discern all of these healthcare complexities (uncontrollably mired in runaway legalese)
– humbly/meekly resolve the real and important objectives (affordable and optimum health choices) and
– submit/extend them-/our-selves (minds, hearts and wills) to each OTHER’S painful and/or stressful health needs. (very survival, elusive at-least-tolerant-level comfort, affordability and trust-worthy/reliably-effective care).
YHWH, please help us to keep our focus on YOU, especially when this and ANY worldly issues compete so fiercely to distract us from you. Please hear our cry and answer continually, for our good, but ESPECIALLY for YOUR MOST-DESERVED GLORY and to rescue SO many other souls. Amen.

Although I also appreciate Speaker Johnson’s sincerity and dedication, I can’t help but feel strongly that, if both parties and houses were genuinely familiar with how horribly Obamacare affects ALL of us on all need levels, effective solutions would look magnanimously clearer. Unfortunately, I don’t think that will EVER happen until THEIR health insurance options are exactly the same as our health insurance options. Only then will it begin to cease to be a partisan political football/weapon of any fashion. So, I also agree: Constant. Fervent. Prayer. Socialized medicine is not in the best interest of the people in this nation. Lord, give our leaders your mind.
God give them a Miracle for this construction of the Health Care.
Since when does the government owe it’s citizens health care? Socialist countries are going broke trying to pay for social medicine and the service is terrible. The Medical industry has destroyed the public confidence in the system because of their trillion dollar scheme during the COVID scamdemic.. Who profited most was China. Now you have a bunch of Welfare handouts that has doubled the national debt. The politicians simply want votes and to profit from the crisis (to the tune of how many trillions?) One doctor I heard of in Laredo, Texas makes $10,000 a week. Is he really that good or just milking the system?????? While the working people have a hard time affording housing they pay these wolves in doctor’s clothing.
Father, in the name of Jesus, I pray that you will grant the Republicans and the Democrats wisdom to get health insurance that will be useful to Americans. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
Every day at morning Mass when the prayers are said “For world leaders to…..”, I pray for President Trump and his entire Cabinet, even Elon Musk, that they are led to make decisions that honor our citizens and America, and also the entire Trump family.

Jesus, I thank You that You are our Healer. There is no health program needed beyond You. With the Advent of your coming to us, you healed everyone of every disease. I am not going to go to the US Government for answers that Jesus has already given us. His healing power is as alive and active today as in the days Jesus walked this earth. I am witness to so many healings, I can’t even give you a number. He has healed me a number of times. The Church has work to do which will heal people completely and in more ways than any government program could ever think about. And it is FREE!

However I find that many churches no longer teach on healing. One pastor said from the pulpit he doesn’t pray for ppl, it was our own fault if we were sick.
That was my last day there.
Very true – however, it is crucial to teach people to care well for their Temples. Should a continual smoker ask God to heal his lung disease? Likewise, will He heal someone insisting on use of pharmakia (sorcery) rather than His Farma? Jesus does heal – but tells us to cease from what brings recurring illness. He is the Great Physician!

We need people in our Government who believe in taking care of its people. Stop your
fighting politically, health care is an issue that involves all. Government workers are very
well taken care of with their insurances covered, but what about the ordinary people who have to rely on you for decisions. If you don’t want to make American Citizens first, you have no business in governing us. Insurance costs have become crucial as it is making the insurance companies rich beyond measure while bankrupting citizens. We all need to vote accordingly.
Obviously the corruption of Obama care is not a realistic system. The biggest problem is because of Obama care many Insurance programs went sky high. It will take time for them to level out. On top of that, the prices of healthcare has skyrocketed making health care insurance will never see reasonable prices again. It will be hard to get Dems to help solve the problem because most are a party of NO with out scruples to help Americans only their Dem party. It will be important to get health care providers and Insurance companies to come to a reasonable solutions and the best care is with “Family Doctors” and break up the corrupt big conglomerate health care monopolies. Dems make lots of money off of those so that will be difficult. Congress needs to pass term limits, that will help breakup congress so they get new blood and get a group to work together to solve problems.
I agree that term limits are badly needed; however Congress has become a body of self-serving career politicians who cannot be relied on to pass them. The writers of the Constitution, anticipating our current dilemma, provided an amendment that allows the people to bypass a stalemated partisan Congress using their authority under the Article 4 Convention of States which is in the process now of being convened for the purpose of passing amendments to the Constitution requiring, among others, term limits and a yearly balanced budget
My prayer partner and I are deeply committed to praying for our government leaders. We pray continually for HOLY SPIRIT’S wisdom, for their salvation, for the exposure, and uprooting of corruption federal and state, for Divine protection for each person. We love this country! And are profoundly grateful that we are so privileged to live here. I am a supporter of IFA, if only in a small amount. I know that provided me with a Divine connection to you and your mandate.
Lord – guide our leadership not only in the area of serving the people and their needs (not wants) but also guide our leaders in unity and working together. Far too many of our leaders are selfishly motivated by their own personal and party decisions. Speak to many of them and give them the strength of character to serve, not to be served.

Thank you, Lord, that our senators are taking up the issue of healthcare. Please guide them. Please help them to see the complete picture and the reality of the solutions they propose.
A $1000 subsidy does not make insurance affordable if an individual is paying $500+ each month for insurance. Please also give them the wisdom to foresee the unintended consequences of any legislation and to plan carefully. Please bring to their attention that many are not covered by employer plans, due to self-employment or other factors. Please make sure they take into account pre-existing conditions.
Please make the new plan work for healthcare providers as well. Some of the payments I see on my explanation of benefits are tiny! Please also bless and provide for the many Americans enrolled in cost-sharing ministries. Thank you for providing us with this option.
We definitely need wisdom in healthcare legislation and reform. Father, please help our leaders, give them wisdom, insight and discernment. I believe that our Healthcare should go back to the way it was before Obama Care. Those who are on Social security with Medicare should not have to pay any Medical cost because a monthly fee is taken out of their Social security check every month.
Praying for the GOP to come up with a helpful healthcare plan is praying for a miracle, which is a fine prayer nonetheless. The latest Bill from Cassidy and Crapo was a $1000 check for your HSA tied to junk insurance, higher premiums and huge deductables. The end result, Americans losing healthcare altogether. Lets pray for some honesty, real solutions and a real pro-life healthcare policy where Americans don’t die or go bankrupt for want of care. Any pray has to first acknowledge the need, cast off politics and begin with compassion for all human beings.

I Pray he and all of those who will be voting on what ever package he comes up with, through ‘Your guidance’ will craft a plan that first, will work correctly, that means will be financially viable and also will work well throughout the whole of the medical system and second, will be accepted by as many as possible so as to get voted into service. I’m praying that the Republicans get their act together and realize they work for us. They MUST come up with a plan that works for ALL Americans, and not just Trump’s supporters. I have absolutely no confidence in them due to their outrageous performances so far. They have a huge credibility issue. Tell them to get to work instead of just talking about it.
