(Fox News) – Sen. John Fetterman broke with Democrats on Sunday, siding with Republican Sen. Lindsey Graham as he accused members of his party of embracing antisemitic rhetoric after a deadly terror attack during a Hanukkah celebration in Australia over the weekend.

Appearing on “Sunday Morning Futures,” Fetterman, D-Pa., said he agreed “with virtually everything” Graham, R-S.C., warned about earlier in the program. Graham had raised concerns about empowering Hamas by moving toward Palestinian statehood.
“It’s an absolute betrayal for Israel and for the worldwide Jewish community,” said Fetterman.
“Whether it’s France or Australia or any of these nations, our Western allies are now calling for a two-state solution when Hamas refuses to disarm and are actively trying to kill Jews. I can’t imagine why anybody would do that at this point,” he added.
On Sunday, Graham condemned Western nations that recognized a Palestinian state, accusing them of “rewarding killing Jews” with that decision.
Australia, France, the United Kingdom and Canada formally recognized a Palestinian state earlier this year. In a statement, Canada’s Prime Minister Mark Carney clarified that their support was not meant to legitimize terrorism in the region but to promote future reconstruction following the devastating Israel-Hamas war.
The United States has not formally recognized a Palestinian state.
Fetterman also criticized Democrats for embracing what he called openly hostile, anti-Israel rhetoric, saying it is now “becoming more and more part of my party’s platform.”
“I can’t imagine why so many parts of people in my party continue to back away or to kind of deflect… condemning these kinds of horrific acts of terrorism,” said Fetterman.
The Pennsylvania senator has been staunchly pro-Israel and has called on his party to tone down their criticisms of the Jewish state. He blamed the growth of antisemitism in the United States on social media.
“The young people in our nation have turned their back entirely against Israel, and that’s the social media, that’s the scourge, that’s where antisemitism breeds,” he said.

What about all the thousands of Catholic and Christian people being murdered daily in Nigeria and Syria? No one cares or notices. They are just forgotten! Press ignores them but their murder cries out to God!
I applaud Sen Fetterman for standing and supporting Israel. We need to pray for this Senator. I pray for his protection from his own party and I pray that he accepts Jesus Christ as his Savior so that he can minister to his fellow Democrats.
I am appalled at what is happening, with the tacit approval of so many people around the world and state actors. In case anyone has forgotten, when the Allies carved up the world and recreated Israel on part of their ancient land, they also created Jordon for Arabs and Egyptians who felt they were displaced too. Israel has repeatedly said they don’t want the West Bank back, but they also don’t want the violence.
We can love and support the Jewish people and revere the Holy Land without getting caught up in current politics surrounding it, or agree with everything the Israeli government does or doesn’t do. Israel is accused of dragging the US into wars that don’t serve US interests. I don’t see how. Israel didn’t drag us into WWI or II and WWIII isn’t their idea either. The regime change wars we started serve no Israeli interest that I can see. Bombing Iran? Our government has been saying for DECADES that we can’t let Iran have nuclear bombs.

America got into WW 1 because of threats to American Sovereignty. America got into WW2 for the same reason after American Pearl Harbor was bombed by the Japanese. Israel did not “drag America into anything!” President Franklin Roosevelt believed if England fell then Hitler would come for America. So President Roosevelt, through the Lend/Lease program gave England supplies to withstand
Germany’s assaults. Then when Pearl Harbor was bombed by Japan, we entered WW2. So Israel was pulling us into WW2, HOW? Please do your own research and stop blaming Israel for everything. FATHER GOD please continue to bless YOUR people Israel and us YOUR people all over the world that have accepted JESUS as LORD. Please send YOUR angels to surround and protect all of us in JESUS MIGHTY NAME! Amen.
The entire Western World is suffering under an invasion of largely islamic displaced persons. To our shame the leaders of our Western World appear determined to niether see nor defend the borders from this invasion. We are talking about people in terms of Millions – not just the odd few sneaking through our porous borders.

Draw our youth to listen to You, teach them and show them awesome and wondrous things. Show them the pleasure in righteous living and for those who do live Godly lives, may they know Your goodness throughout long lives. Keep their tongues from evil and their lips from deceiving talk; turn them from evil to do good; to seek peace and to go after it with zealousness! You say that evil will kill the wicked and those who hate the righteous will be condemned. Redeem the youth in our nation LORD so they serve You ALONE. May our confused youth be drawn to You, may they take refuge in You and may they know Your salvation. I stand totally for Israel. The Bible NEVER SPEAKS TO A TWO STATE solution to the land that Almighty God gave to Israel and Israel only. As Christiasn we must stand firm for Israel!
I think if all the “adults”, particularly the media and the lawmakers, both statewide and federal would get off social media, the kids would turn around. They’re setting very poor examples.
