After months of threats and escalation, the conflict in the Middle East has reached a new level. Israel has now directly attacked Iran. This, after the Islamic Republic fired a host of missiles toward Israelis earlier this month.
According to a statement issued by the Israel Defense Forces “In response to months of continuous attacks from the regime in Iran against the State of Israel – right now the Israel Defense Forces is conducting precise strikes on military targets in Iran.”
This attack will likely come at a great cost. The nations of the world, who have already largely abandoned Israel, will likely put more pressure on God’s beloved people. However, this attack also puts Israel one step closer to victory in its battle against terror.
It is all but certain that Iran will respond decisively to this attack. In the meantime, IFA will keep its readers updated on the latest from the Middle East. Until then though, we encourage intercessors to pray through the following prayer points.
How to Pray into the Israel-Iran Conflict
- Pray for the peace of Jerusalem. Pray that God would give His people peace, whatever that peace may take. Pray for the peace of Jerusalem:
“May they prosper who love you” (Psalm 122:6). - Pray for protection. Pray that the IDF and the people of Israel are protected from Iran and its allies and proxies. You are my hiding place; You shall preserve me from trouble; You shall surround me with songs of deliverance. Selah (Psalm 32:7).
- Pray for confusion in the enemy camp. As Iran seeks to mount a response, pray that their plans against the people of God would come to ruin. “I will send My fear before you, I will cause confusion among all the people to whom you come, and will make all your enemies turn their backs to you” (Exodus 23:27).
- Pray for America. Our leaders have not always been kind to Israel. Even if every other nation turns away, pray that America would courageously remain a strong ally of Israel in its time of need. I will also gather all nations, and bring them down to the Valley of Jehoshaphat; and I will enter into judgment with them there on account of My people, My heritage Israel, whom they have scattered among the nations; they have also divided up My land (Joel 3:2).

Dear Heavenly Father, You are the Eternal One of Israel and thanks to Jesus Christ, in all the nations of the world, You are called Lord and Father. You drove out great and powerful nations before Your people. You say one can put a thousand to flight, because You fight for them…just as You promised. You say, You will cause the enemies who rise up against Israel to be defeated before their eyes. The enemy will march out against Your people in one direction but flee from them in seven. Lord God, we thank you for Your unending love and that You are our ever-present help in time of trouble. Surround Your people Israel and protect them on all sides. Let hearts and minds be turned to you Yeshua, as you rule and reign, bringing peace to Jerusalem.
Convict those who hate and war against Your chosen people and bring them to repentance. Crush Your sworn enemies and remove all leaders that blasphemy You and work evil against Your children.
Raise up leaders who truly love You and Your people – who honor You and will stand with the Nation of Israel as allies. Leaders who are strong, wise and Godly, who will point others to You and uphold Your Word.
We thank you Lord that You and Your people have the ultimate victory – help us to remember that and live with eternity on our minds.

I repent for USA leaders who have cursed Israel with various attempts to divide Israel or otherwise undermine her efforts to defend herself! Please forgive these persons and the USA, Dear Lord, for not obeying Your Word related to how we must treat Israel! In Jesus’ Mighty Name, I pray!🙏 Amen.
Abba Father, I commit Your chosen people Israel to You. Surround them with Your favor as with a shield. Let Israel’s enemies repent of their sins, but if they remain stiff-necked, let Your judgment fall upon them. No weapon forged in hellfire against Your people shall stand or prosper.
