Intercessor, have you heard of EPIC City? This 400-acre “all-Islamic” community in Texas has attracted criticism from around the nation.
Join others crying out to the Lord day and night.
In a recent article, the Association of Mature American Citizens (AMAC) shares more about this community:
According to EPIC CityāsĀ website, the development, which the East Plano Islamic Center (EPIC) announced in 2024, will be āa community aimed at serving the needs of the Muslim communityā that ābrings Islam to the forefront.ā It will feature 1,000 homes, a K-12 Islamic school, a mosque, apartments, health centers, commercial shopping, and even a community college ā in theory, residents wonāt ever have to leave the compound.
While EPIC City initially garnered little media attention, local residents and online influencers have thrust it into the spotlight. Amy Mek, founder of the organization Resistance Against Islamic Radicals (RAIR), has been a particularly vocal critic, posting footage from community meetings of Texans opposed to the project.
In oneĀ clipĀ Mek posted on X earlier this month, a woman who identifies herself as the daughter of a Guatemalan immigrant explains why she believes it is wrong that the developers of EPIC City are aiming to create an Islamic compound separate from the rest of the community.
āWe didnāt come here to build a Guatemalan Catholic compound,ā she said. āWe assimilated. We became American. Why is EPIC building a city where everything is Islamic ā the school, the mosque, the fitness center, even the medical clinic? Thatās not diversity. Thatās ideological takeover. This is not okay with the American people.ā
As AMAC notes, concerned citizens and elected officials alike have taken issue with this community. Governor Greg Abbott, Attorney General Ken Paxton, and Senator John Cornyn have all spoken out against the community.
The biggest fear for many is that EPIC City will adopt Sharia law, a harsh “system of Islamic religious principles derived from the Quran,” according to AMAC. Sharia law has been used in Islamic nations to harm or even kill those who run afoul of Islam’s moral code, earning condemnation from human rights organizations around the world. Some are reporting that EPIC has already created a “Sharia-controlled enclave.”
Additionally, as AMAC notes, EPIC City seems to be the “antithesis” of the “nation of immigrants” and “melting pot” that is America. The articles notes that:
Assimilation and integration are critical for the successful migration of peoples to America. The melting pot only works when all Americans, no matter how long they have been here, embrace being part of one shared society.
EPIC City should concern all who value America’s Christian identity and heritage. Let’s pray that Sharia law and Islam would have no place in our nation!

I just spoke with my daughter and son-in-law in Dallas and they assured me this is now old news since the EPIC City development plan got blocked by the Housing Authority there. They know Jet who writes Christian songs down there who lives very near there and he said almost all his neighbors are Muslim but he also confirmed that that development will not happen.

To my understanding, Governor Abbott has stopped this EPIC development. If this is not true, the Christian community must rise up and stop the building and development of this Islamic city.
We need to keep repenting as a nation before God. What He did to Israel when they did not follow Him.. Handed them over to their enemies. AND to be CLEAR we are NOT Israel. But I can not help feeling the same rules apply. There are other Islamic communities in our nation up north.. MN, MI, WI, ..They have strong holds N, S, E, W and within our nation. I saw an Islamic study center near Martinsville, VA (south central). Let’s face it they are in Gov’t already. More than the “Squad”.. Repent before God and pray for their salvation.

I am praying that the Almighty would demolish EPIC City ā and the principalities driving it from the unseen realms.
That’s about as plainly as I can pray.
Around the world many political leaders have adopted a passive stance toward an aggressive Islamic ingression into their particular nation until one day they find the resulting encroachment too advanced to resist and must acquiesce to Islamic demands. Thanks to the Obama administration we already find such enclaves in the United States along with loud, belligerent adherents to the cause. In Europe, countries were enticed by a “feel good” sense in “saving the poor oppressed Islamic oppressed” from their oppressive leaders and welcomed them to their respective countries and began to lose control to these so called rescued people who instead of being grateful, demanded more and more, became a financial burden to the Host Nation and added to the crime rate and at the same time demanded more and more autonomy (Sharia Law?). I agree with the Guatemalan daughter cited above; we cannot yield to an Islamist invasion whereby immigrants demand the right to enter the country then seek to separate themselves and establish a governance separate to what we have rather than assimilate to OUR society.
How can America allow such Islamic communities to put roots down here! Their hatred of Israel and Americaās Christian-Judeo Foundation is very clear. Would we expect Israel to allow an Islamic Community to put down roots on its own soil! Of course not! Wake up America and defend our God-given heritage! Letās shut the door to such an intrusion on American soil.
Actually, Jamie, that is exactly what the world is expecting of Israel – to allow an Islamic community to put down roots on its own soil. That is what a two-state solution would require. That is what the Gaza strip and sections of Judea and Samaria have been. That is why we need to support Israel’s effort to annihilate Hamas, and to rid itself of terrorists within its own borders.

Why are so many people surprised about this? It’s been happening for a long while now. Check out VA. They’ve allowed a Islamic community that is a no go zone for non-muslims. Muslims come over, latch onto the welfare system, take advantage of it, then out breed the native population while converting and coercing the natives into their religion. And if that doesn’t work, it’s violence. This is what has and is happening in the UK and Europe. It doesn’t help that politicians and leftists are in on it as well. Part of the reason Islam spread like a wild fire in SE Asia because they would send out scouts to towns and villages. Then, when they were sure that they could take over the town or village, they would come back with more men and r*pe, pillage, and delete the people, force the surviving women into “marriages”, and force the surviving men to either convert or die. So anyone who supports Islam, is woefully ignorant of what Islam is really about. If America is to survive and combat Islam, she needs to repent and turn back to God. Christians need to repent for not being salt and light in their own countries, turn back to God, put Him first and do their jobs of being salt, light, and preaching the Gospel.

This is the first step and test of having inroads into our communities. If this type of complex is allowed, more will spring up around our country. It is one thing to serve out Muslims citizens. It is quite another to have probable INDOCRINATION CENTERS FOR RADICAL TEACHING and RADICALS THEMSELVES.
There should not be allowed a community that would have laws contrary to United States laws. Sharia laws are from the dark side. I pray the state and surrounding community would stand against this community. We pray for deception come off the Islamic community and Truth come alive in them.

An isolated Islamic community should not be carved out on American soil any more than Chinese immigrants nursing a communistic mindset should be allowed to develop a strictly isolated communist community on American soil. Immigrants come to America because of the advantages it holds for them. This Islamic community seems to want to reap the advantages but forego our American way of life. America must be accepted as a whole, not just certain parts. If you want to come to America and infiltrate instead of assimilate, DON’T COME AT ALL. We don’t want immigrants that don’t want to BE Americanized. We do not want, nor should we have to, change for you. This country belongs to full blooded Americans and needs to remain so. Anything less is an affront and insult to our forefathers and all who have fought to create America and sustain it before, during, and after her fight for independence as her own nation. To that end, the building of this Islamic city in Texas is fodder for opening a Pandora’s Box of exponential magnitude from every side, while leaving many great American patriots rolling over in their graves.
We have many great Christian evangelists living in Texas, not to mention, Dallas Theological Seminary. We have great Christian American patriots representing We the People in Congress and House of Representatives? How has this been allowed to evolve for so long in Texas? Where is the Church???????
Some of those churches closed when covid appeared. Otherwise embraced social issues like lgbtq, instead of embracing GOD’s word. So I would say some are dormant but the word of GOD lives forever.

Excellent question, Gail – but this isn’t only happening in TX. It might be wise to research whether it is happening in your own state. The church nationwide has largely been silent, but it may be because they were first apathetic, then asleep, and thus blinded. Church awake!

My greatest concern is that this is nothing new, and yet many seem surprised by this report. The warnings have been going out for a long time. Perhaps, Abba, since the smoke has not been given attention, the rising flames will be. Where there is smoke there is fire. We cry out for Your intervention, in humility and repentance we ask forgiveness for not listening sooner. There are strategies available – may we rally to discover them and apply them wherever we live.

I believe people should assimilate. Yet during life I have seen time and time again peopleās desire to be separate, my immediate thought is they should be allowed to make their compound but should be shunned from the country in all forms as they can go back to their beloved country and live their in a different area if they fled war. Barbara, there are many who have come here not because they value the very freedom that they then take advantage of, to enslave us to the religion of Islam. Their values are in direct opposition to our Constitutional Republic, and they are enemies.

I have heard of a similar plan from an acquaintance, in Tampa. Fl. It’s one thing to come to America, but comming here to radicalize closed communities is another; lets put an end to their hidden agendas; Beware faithful God loving Americans who stand against the antichrist spirit.

This is dangerous and certainly not pleasing to God Almighty! We need to stand firm against this in our prayers. This is America which was founded by Christians wanting religious freedom. Anything that opposes what God instructs in His Word and through the Holy Spirit should be resisted strongly in our prayers. If we give an inch, Islam will take a mile. Pray, pray, pray against this.

Soon we will have to make little communities of America again.
Those people should be stripped of their citizenship and deported. When they come to America they are supposed to assimilate into the American Culture. They are not supposed to create a city separate from Americans and establish their own culture and schools. This is 100% against the Constitution of the United States.
