Here at IFA, we talk a lot about Israel. We do this not only because Israel is a close ally with the USA, but also (and more importantly) because the nation of Israel is important to God. God made a covenant with Abraham thousands of years ago, and Scripture proves throughout its pages that the Jewish people have a special place in God’s heart.

However, there’s a theory circulating in the Christian world that says Israel is not that important to God. And we want to debunk that theory today.

This theory, called “replacement theology,” says that God replaced the children of Israel (the Jewish people) with the Body of Christ, making Christians His covenant people instead of the Jewish people being God’s covenant people.

But friend, I would like to caution you today about this, for replacement theology is a lie from the pit of hell. And the enemy wants you to believe replacement theology so you will be cursed rather than blessed.

Here’s why the Jewish people were never replaced:

The Bible is full of story after story about how Israel loved God, then stopped loving Him. They were faithful to God, then they cheated on Him with idols.

This broke God’s heart over and over, but He didn’t abandon His children of Israel. That’s why He told the prophet Hosea to go marry a prostitute … then to go find her and take her back when she cheated on him. Through Hosea, God was showing the world a picture of how faithful He is to His covenant children, even when they were unfaithful.

So, when the children of Israel became unfaithful to God, He didn’t remove them from the covenant. (Just like you wouldn’t disown your children, just because they disobey you.) But,  He did use the situation to His advantage, to work everything out for His—and our—ultimate good.

When His people were unfaithful to Him, Scripture records that God did something about it. Yes, He disciplined them and corrected them. But, He also took a trick out of His sleeve that defeated the devil. God always has the last move!

Based on what the book of Romans tells us, it’s as if God said something like this (translated into my version of common, everyday English):

• “Look at My people. They’re in sin. My people don’t want Me right now.
• I created them with free will, so I’m going to let them make their own decisions. But, I’m going to work it all out for the best in the long run.
• In order to work it out for good, I will add additional people to this covenant who DO want Me. I have the legal right to do that, since My original people don’t care about My covenant and have not been faithful to Me!
• So as of right now, I decree and declare that anyone who puts their faith in My Son Jesus will be grafted into My covenant.
• Hahaha … This is going to be great. Because when I add all these other people to My covenant, it will make the Jews jealous.
• When the Jews get jealous, they will return to Me and will confess My Son Jesus as their Lord too.
• That way, ALL the people on earth who want Me can have Me, through My Son; and they can ALL have the benefits and blessings of the same covenant that I gave Abraham and his children.
• That way, I’ll get all My children as My inheritance, even though the devil tried to steal them. I’ll end up with more faithful children than ever before.”

I know that’s just modern-day vernacular, but that is basically a paraphrase from the book of Romans. The book of Romans tells us that we Christians are only grafted into the covenant of blessing that God gave Abraham. God didn’t get rid of the original covenant; He just added more people (us Christians) to it.

And it’s a curse to believe otherwise.

O friend, I caution you against replacement theology.

Replacement theology is a lie, and God’s Word shows us that you will be cursed if you believe it.

Here’s why I can make the shocking statement that it’s a curse to believe the Jews got replaced as God’s covenant people:

Have you ever had someone speak mean words to you, telling you that you AREN’T something that you actually ARE?

For example:

• If you’re a talented visual artist, have you ever had someone tell you that you can’t draw or paint?
• If you have ninja-level planning skills, have you ever had someone tell you that you AREN’T gifted in administration at all?
• If you’re a professional musician, have you ever had someone tell you that you stink at playing your instrument?

If you have had anything like that happen, those words hurt; did they not? It’s painful to be told that you’re not something when you actually ARE that thing. Why does it hurt so badly? Because those statements are actually word curses.

Yes, that’s right. When someone tells you that you aren’t something which you actually are, they are pronouncing judgment on you based on a lie. They are actually speaking a curse over you; and, unless you verbally reject that curse, refuse to come into agreement with it, and pray it off to break it, then you will be impacted by that curse.

Now, let’s take that principle and apply it to what we believe about Israel.

Read what God said in Genesis 12:1-3:

Now the Lord had said to Abram: ‘Get out of your country, from your family and from your father’s house, to a land that I will show you. I will make you a great nation; I will bless you and make your name great; and you shall be a blessing. I will bless those who bless you, and I will curse him who curses you; and in you all the families of the earth shall be blessed’ (Genesis 12:1-3 NKJV).

When God sent Abram–who later became Abraham–out of his homeland and into the land of promise, God spoke a blessing over him. He also appeared to Abram/Abraham on multiple other occasions to make him covenants and promises.

Those promises and covenants assured Abraham that he and his descendants were God’s special people, chosen and set apart as God’s inheritance. It was not a covenant of salvation, but it was a covenant of blessing. And through the covenant God made with Abraham, He assured Abraham that His covenant would continue through the line of Isaac, Abraham’s son of promise. God placed His blessing on His people forever through the line of Abraham. He said that He would bless those who bless Abraham, and curse those who curse Abraham.

And friend, if you believe, speak, or teach that the Jewish people are no longer God’s covenant people, you are speaking curses over the children of Abraham. And when you curse the children of Abraham, God will also curse you.

O friend, replacement theology is such dangerous territory. Even a lot of modern-day political propaganda (which is just that: propaganda) against Israel is absolutely cursed ground. Please, please, I adjure you: stay off that accursed ground!

Beloved, we must not forget that we are only grafted in.

If you are a Christian, God has made you a spiritual Jew. As the apostle Paul wrote under divine inspiration in Romans 2:29:

For he is not a Jew who is one outwardly, nor is circumcision that which is outward in the flesh; but he is a Jew who is one inwardly; and circumcision is that of the heart, in the Spirit, not in the letter; whose praise is not from men but from God (Romans 2:29 NKJV).

Jesus is still the only way to salvation. But we receive His blessings because we have been added into His covenant of blessing—the covenant He originally gave to Abraham. You were grafted into that covenant the moment you believed in Jesus. And while every person on earth can still ONLY be saved by believing in the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, as the apostle Peter preached in Acts 4:12:

Nor is there salvation in any other, for there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12 NKJV).

… and as Jesus specifically told us in John 14:6:

Jesus said to him, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me” (John 14:6 NKJV).

… The covenant God gave Abraham stands forever. And God still blesses those who bless Abraham, and curses those who curse Him.

So, my friend, I urge you today: be careful with your tongue.

Be careful whose narrative you believe. Be wary of propaganda and utterly reject replacement theology, for the enemy roams the earth like a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour. What better way to devour than to get people to bring curses down upon their own heads by convincing them to speak falsehoods against the children of Abraham?

The enemy is a liar, a thief, and a trickster.

And he is stealing, killing, and destroying many Christian’s lives because he has successfully gotten them to believe in replacement theology.

O friend, in the name of Jesus: I implore you to not be one of those people who yields to the enemy. Study the book of Romans in detail about this topic if you have ever adhered to replacement theology, or even if you aren’t sure. Let Holy Spirit speak to you and show you His truth from the pages of God’s Word.

And please, I implore you: if you haven’t already, begin this day to bless the biological children of Abraham, and let no curses come out of your mouth toward them ever again.
