The U.S. war with Iran has now passed the six-month mark, and renewed attacks by both sides are raising questions about whether the conflict could once again intensify. As the Trump administration maintains military and economic pressure on Tehran, some lawmakers are urging the President to pursue an even more ambitious objective: the collapse of the Iranian regime.

The U.S. war with Iran has reached the 6-month mark. In Washington, some lawmakers are encouraging the White House to keep up the pressure on the regime.
As the fighting passed into its seventh month, Senator Ted Cruz (R-Texas) told NBC’s Meet the Press that many of the military objectives set by the White House have been met, but he’s encouraging the Trump administration to go further.
“I would like to see the longer-term objective be regime collapse,” Cruz stated.
The comments come as direct military exchanges between Washington and Tehran have resumed after a relative lull in American strikes inside Iran. U.S. forces recently struck two Iranian launchers on Larak Island near the Strait of Hormuz, reportedly after Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps forces prepared rockets capable of deploying sea mines into the strategically vital waterway.
The strike came shortly after the U.S. military finished clearing sea mines from international shipping routes through the Strait. President Donald Trump has emphasized that the United States remains in control of the waterway, telling Fox News, “It can be a nuisance, but we are in control of the Hormuz Strait.”
Iran responded within hours. Tehran launched missiles at American forces in Jordan on Sunday. Nearly all of the missiles were reportedly intercepted, and there were no immediate reports of significant damage.
Iranian officials nevertheless threatened further retaliation. Ebrahim Azizi, who heads the Iranian parliament’s national security commission, warned that the response would be “devastating, more painful, and instructive,” later writing, “Retaliation is coming.” The IRGC also condemned the American strike, calling it a “strategic and fatal mistake.”
The exchange marks a potentially significant development in a war that has increasingly focused on economic pressure and control of the Strait of Hormuz. Before the latest operation, the United States had not conducted a known strike inside Iran since late July. The renewed attacks demonstrate how quickly the conflict could return to direct military confrontation even as Washington attempts to economically isolate Tehran.
Meanwhile, Cruz is arguing that American policy should look beyond individual military objectives. The senator called Iran’s Islamic regime the world’s leading state sponsor of terrorism and urged the Trump administration to support Iranians seeking to overthrow it. Rather than putting American troops on the ground, Cruz advocated arming protesters and Kurdish forces and allowing the Iranian people themselves to bring down the regime.
Six months into this war, the stakes remain enormous. Iran’s threats against American forces, its efforts to disrupt the Strait of Hormuz, and its long history of supporting terrorism have made the conflict about far more than the immediate battlefield. At the same time, any effort to bring about regime collapse could have profound consequences for Iran, Israel, the Middle East, and the United States.
As this conflict enters its seventh month, let’s continue praying for President Trump, American military leaders, and all those making decisions that could determine the course of the war. Let’s also pray for protection over American forces and civilians, for wisdom in confronting the Iranian regime, and ultimately for the people of Iran to experience freedom from tyranny and encounter the truth of the gospel.

Heavenly Father, I thank You for the men and women serving in the Armed Forces of the United States of America. Protect them as they defend freedom at home and abroad. Strengthen them physically, emotionally, and spiritually. Guard their families who wait for their safe return. O Lord, guide military leaders with wisdom and integrity. Lord, I pray there will be no funding given to Kurd’s or anyone who is not following you. There are many Christians in Iran. You can and have in the past raised up few or many to topple the enemy, and I beseech You to raise up and make known the army of the Lord to topple this current Iranian regime. Give them Godly leaders and truly free the Iranian people and protect Israel. You alone receive the glory, in the mighty name of Jesus, amen.

Alternating between diplomacy and war then back is a loosing strategy. Trump is frankly over his skis on this thing. He has given Iran an exaggerated view of themselves, disheartened Iranians who thought the regime was through, caused thousands more to be murdered, given Iran a world stage, given them time to regroup and pushed into semi alliance with Arab and other Islamic states that are just using him to keep Iran in check. Qatar is not our friend. Oman is not our friend. Turkey is definitely not our friend. And Saudi Arabia funded and trained the 9/11 terrorists. Here is the ending from a poem by Rudyard Kipling:

Politics is not about good vs. evil. It’s about the lesser of 2 evils. Obama and Biden created a terrible mess in the Mideast. However war is not meant to alternate with talk. War is for when there is nothing left to talk about. That’s the very nature of war because it will drown out and crush any tool used in conjunction with it. Apparently we haven’t learned anything since
Korea. Or Vietnam.
Or Iraq. Or Afghanistan.
It s truly a shame that President Trump allowed this mess to last this long. He should have had intel that told him that trying to negotiate with Iran was a total waste of our time and resources. All that this accomplished was to give Iran time to find new sources for getting weapons- rocket launchers, missiles, mines, etc. We need to finish the job, get their enriched uranium, and leave. I truly hope that we don’t think that we need to give them money to rebuild. We simply will be seen as big-time chumps by the rest of the world if we do so. Lord Jesus, please, by Your mercy and grace, give our leaders, President Trump in particular, the guidance and wisdom that are needed. This is a spiritual battle, and, apart from Your direction, nothing will be accomplished. Please, give President Trump the ability to listen to his advisors, and may they all exercise their influence, not merely being yes men. Thank You, Jesus.
The late Pres. Harry Truman knew how to end wars quickly. And he ended World War II quickly. No one can deal with madmen running Iran. Pres. Trump, look to the late Pres. Harry Truman and finish Iran once and for all. Iran was never adequately punished for taking American hostages in 1979; the Harry Truman method would send a message to other hostage taking countries quickly.

I pray LORD GOD in Heaven for the final collapse of the godless Iranian Regime. They had and are putting innocent Iranian civilians at risk and danger. I think Lord about the little Children who have no fault of their own. This war needs to come to an end. Let it be decided on Your Will and ways. But bring peace to the region and the Ayatollahs end of power. Protect American and Israeli Forces and forgive and give Mercy to the Iranian populace. May they all be Saved. Technically, we have only been at war against the IRCG for 57 days so, we must get our news information from credible sources. We look to our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ for His protection, direction and favor in this ongoing attempt to eradicate dictators from harming innocent citizens. Thank you Almighty Father for your intervention into this situation and we rely on our faith in you that we will be successful in this long overdue victory over tyranny. Father, grant our leaders great wisdom, supernatural military intel, strategies and plans to set the Iranian people free from this brutal regime led by the Prince of Persia. Bring a final resolution to shipping oil and goods safely through the Strait of Hormuz. Show the U.S. a way to resolve the problems so we can leave the area. Let Your Kingdom come upon the Iranian people and all the Middle East that they may know there is a God in heaven above, the Lord of all. Amen.

I will try to pray similarly to how I prayed for Ukraine, since that worked when I prayed that God would use the weather to help protect Ukraine, since they didn’t have enough air help protection covering. I also prayed God would help soldiers on both sides to live longer so that they had more time to decide to trust Jesus as their Savior. Then I saw couple weeks later an IFA article, “Miracles in Ukraine” containing one story (out of 4 stories) how a Ukrainian soldier told parents to tell many to to pray about intelligence they received that Russians were going to drop paratroopers in their area. When Russian soldiers dropped from planes and parachutes opened, immediately a big gust of wind blew the Russian paratroopers behind their own enemy Russian lines instead of in the Ukranian soldier’s area.
I pray a lot for the people of the wars and persecutions in various countries, especially as I’m singing hymns and choruses at church that remind me of characteristics and purposes of God that are basis for why God would answer such prayers. I pray most for people’s eternal long-lasting salvation.

I agree with each of these prayers, and I trust The God of all creation! He has promised what will happen to anyone who comes against Israel, His chosen land!

AMEN! Pray for the collapse of the Iranian Regime and the freeing of the Iran people that are being held captive by their tyrannical government!! AMEN!! Pray that the gospel of Christ would go forward and liberate all Iranians from their darkness and extreme oppression!! Pray for wisdom for President Trump and our military leaders to bring an end to this terrorist regime!!
