Recently, the New York Times published an article depicting a malnourished child from a starving Gazan family. The picture was quickly scooped up by other mainstream news sites, who used it as proof that Israel was allegedly starving children in Gaza.
Let the IFA community know how to pray for you.
There’s just one problem: there’s no evidence this child or his family were starving in the first place.
The Daily Wire explains:
“Within hours, almost every major outlet was using the image to tell the same story,” investigative reporter David Collier noted. “Sky News, CNN, The Guardian, Daily Mail, New York Times, and The Times (UK) – they all ran with it, reinforcing the message: Gaza is gripped by mass starvation.”
“Except this image proves none of it,” he said. “Wider and unpublished pictures show Mohammed’s healthy brother Joud, who was born on 18 April 2022 and is 3 years old. Mohammed was born on 23 December 2023, just two months after October 7. What we can see from the pictures is that both Mohammed’s mother and his older brother, look healthy and are not suffering from any type of starvation that would be necessary to cause the thinness suffered by Mohammed.”
The New York Times did announce a retraction on social media. You can see the Time’s post below:

Many, however, insisted that this retraction was too late. According to The Daily Wire, activists and influencers insisted that it would do little to alleviate the damage caused by the Times’ initial reporting.
This is yet another example of the mainstream media’s bias against Israel. As lies abound, it’s important that we remember to pray for God’s people and nation!

Lord thank you that nothing escapes your knowledge! We ask that you continue to expose the lies of the enemy against Israel and your people! We cut the head of leviathan and say no longer will you operate in our social media in Jesus mighty name!
The New York Times used to be a reputable media outlet, but now the editor should be fired and all others should be thoroughly reevaluated to determine if they really are equipped to work for any media source that understands the value of reporting the truth.
If you all actually paid attention- you would see accounts from all over Gaza and Israel is INDEED starving not only children, but women men and children alike. They intercept aid constantly and imprison the people trying to provide it. No weapons- just aid. Mothers are having to scrape their own babies off the floor. They have been bombing people waiting in line for food! I have seen them begging with their own eyes on TikTok. You think they are propaganda?! While they sit in the rubble of their once neighborhood and cry so desperately for their dead relatives?! You think they are faking?! Stop listening to this garbage and do your own research- I beg of you. Children and adults are most definitely being starved to death.
Please remember, as sad as it, war is bad. Israel is defending herself. Gaza is the enemy so I have very little compassion on those who have caused such great pain for Israelis.
As reported by Al Jazeera, Hamas Ministry of Health, NYT and USAID? Might the common denominator for all these be deception?
Paul’s advice to Timothy (I Tim 6:20) is as appropriate today as it was 2,000 years ago: “Turn away from godless chatter and the opposing ideas of what is falsely called knowledge, which some have professed and in so doing have wandered from the faith.”
Israel is not perfect but before one condemns them, it would be wise to consider the report’s source. All of the above engage liberally in propaganda more so than reality.

The retraction stated that he “Also Had” a pre-existing condition (which they don’t tell you is cerebral palsy). Another words, they are not retracting what they said, they are doubling down on the lie. “Also had” means they are saying that Israel is also starving them.
Lord help the people who call themselves by your name not to be deceived by the lying media. May we remain faithful to you and your word. All Israel Will Be Saved! We are not the replacement of the Jews in your eyes, we are grafted into the commonwealth of Israel and made brothers. I will pray for the Salvation of Israel and the fulfillment of every scripture as long as I draw a breath.
I think this is an example of the news media rushing to get a “scoop” without verifying their source. They want to be first to report on a story. This has bitten so many news outlets lately so you would think they would verify the story before publishing it. Most news outlets have no shame these days.
Please be sure that President Trump and his team see this article now. Thank you for publishing this. Lord Jesus, send your Holy Spirit to open eyes that have been blinded and ears that have been stopped by Satan’s lies in our media.
I am shocked that the media gets anyone to believe their lies. Open your eyes and see the true story that the satan driven media won’t tell. In any issue concerning the Kingdom, especially Israel, I give any and all controversial or not matters over to God in prayer. It is not for me to mind God’s business. I trust God to do what He needs to do is right for His Kingdom and His Chosen people. God has been leading and directing the Israelites for a very long time……think thru slavery, thru the Red Sea, the pillar of cloud, the pillar of fire, manna from Heaven, the Ten Commandments and Moses……..been going on awhile…….i will continue on as an intercessor……..
Psalm 83 clearly declares that those who hate God conspire against Israel, to seek to destroy Her. Confound them O God, shame them for their evil lies. The UN, Hamas, the “media” , Godless politicians, and gullible people are all choosing the wrong side of this battle. The starvation in Gaza is undeniable. The deception of the NYT is also undeniable. That said, which one grieves Father God more?

Ok maybe that child wasn’t starving, does not mean kids aren’t starving in Gaza. There are kids starving in Gaza. God please put food in those kids bellied and I pray for an end to this horrible war and not only this one God I pray for world peace and a end to all war. In The Mighty Name of Jesus I pray.

Is it any wonder that Fox News, Newsmax and other alternative sources are surging in popularity? We are daily betrayed by the NYT and other such outlets. Lying and obfuscation are their norm, yet they self-righteously present themselves are paragons of virtue and champions of journalistic integrity!
It is biblical to pray for the defeat of wicked schemes and schemers. Their damage is widespread and deadly.
Lord Almighty, we are grieved to see such vile and evil practices of some in the media. We sometimes don’t understand why they continue, but we do know that You are the just and mighty Judge of all and all of us must give an account. We all are sinners and justified only by the blood of Jesus shed for us! Lord, we ask you to expose them and bring them to account. We already are seeing exposure of wicked men and women who have abused their power and deceived the nation. Lord please grant that more and more of this will happen and that true repentance will come from many who have been used to spread lies and divide us. May we all humble ourselves in true submission to your authority and seek to be your instruments of testifying to the Truth, Jesus Christ.

Not only was this retraction “too little – too late”, but it was also not a clear statement that his condition “was not a result of nor linked in any way to starvation”. They did not indicate what type of preexisting health condition he suffered from, which was genetic. It also did not state that his mother and brother showed no signs of starvation in another pic, so if he was being starved if was their fault, not Israel’s. Also this retraction was published on a limited access forum, not to everyone who may have seen it. It was an utter lie, and there is no way they can undo the damage it has done. This is happening ad nauseum in legacy media plus other media, and no one is being held accountable.
Psalm 37:1-6 Don’t be upset by evildoers or envious of those who do wrong, for soon they will wither like grass and fade like the green in the fields. Trust in YHVH, and do good; settle in the land, and feed on faithfulness. Then you will delight yourself in YHVH, and He will give you your heart’s desire. Commit your way to YHVH; trust in Him, and He will act. He will make your vindication shine forth like light, the justice of your cause like the noonday sun.
Psalm 103:6 YHVH brings vindication and justice to all who are oppressed.
Isaiah 62:1-2 For Tziyon’s sake I will not be silent, for Yerushalayim’s sake I will not rest, until her vindication shines out brightly and her salvation like a blazing torch. The nations will see your vindication and all kings your glory. Then you will be called by a new name which YHVH Himself will pronounce.
YHVH, media moguls, reporters, etc. are accountable to You, regardless. Call them to account! Since You are just and righteous, if not now, I know You will at the Judgement Seat. Now would be an encouragement to Your people who value truth. Israel is not perfect, but they are being maligned unjustly through lies and deception. Vindicate Israel in those areas that they are being slandered and lied about.
